Hello everyone!

I want to apologize for the silence and lack of updates. The truth is, I recently got married, and things have been quite hectic (in a good way) lately. 🥹

Rest assured, I am still fully committed to working on Unshackled. It holds a special place in my heart, and the love and feedback I have received from it have been incredibly heartwarming. While I may not be able to respond as much, please trust that I am working very hard on it irl. I won't be answering long asks anymore because I have so little time these days and I want to focus on Unshackled's progress.

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

So I kind of merged the two questions together:

Aurelian: from a young age, Aurelian was shaped by his parents troubled marriage, which left him feeling disillusioned and resentful towards love.

As the heir to the throne, he was fully dedicated to his duties and responsibilities, leaving little room for thoughts of love and romance.

In fact, he struggled to distinguish between his desire for control and his genuine feelings of love for the things and people he cared about. So that made Aurelian have a complex relationship with the concept of love, and struggles to recognize it when he encounters it.

Elara: despite prioritizing her studies and interests, Elara always remained hopeful that she will find the one.

Growing up with books and studying, she never found much time for romantic relationships, but deep down she yearns for a deep and meaningful connection with someone who shares her love of knowledge.

She dreams of finding someone who can keep up with her intellectually and who will challenge her to be her best self.

Whenever she meets someone who shows even the slightest interest in her passions, she eagerly seizes the opportunity to befriend them.

While she may not believe in love at first sight per se, she is open to the possibility of experiencing a powerful and immediate connection with someone special.

Kazuo: for Kazuo, love is not something that can be rushed or taken lightly. He prefers to take his time to really get to know someone and build a connection based on shared values, interests, and experiences. He is someone who approaches love with patience, care and a deep sense of respect for the other person.

In his eyes, finding love is not about physical attraction. It’s about finding someone who truly cares about him and shares his values and passions.

And Kazuo will go to great lengths to protect and support the people he loves, even if it means putting his own wellbeing at risk.

Aiden/Ava: since they were young, they have always been prone to “puppy love”— that instant crush on someone who helped them up after a fall or made them laugh. But while their feelings may come quickly, they don’t take love lightly.

They have a natural tendency to befriend people and have formed many close relationships throughout their life.

But even as they enjoy these connections, A still hold out hope that there is someone out there who will love and care for them in a way that no one else ever has.

I saw the update post and I was like wait- didn't the prologue already get dropped lol. Am i mistaken or would you not consider what you already have, a prologue. or is this actually Chapter 1?

I understand why you're confused, and it's my fault for not explaining it clearly, lol. The upcoming update is specifically for the Twine version, which includes an improved prologue with added mc customization. Going forward, Unshackled will be developed exclusively in Twine, and the Dashingdon version will be deleted once it's released.

As for chapter one, it's still a work in progress, and I am aiming to finish and release it soon.

She's always focused on her academics, trying hard to make her parents proud while strutting around the school with her posse and donning perfectly-styled blonde hair falling perfectly on her back, covered from head to toe in perfectly fitting clothes. The Skater Boy - Laid-back and rebellious, River Rockwell is well known around the school for being joined at the hip with his skateboard and skipping classes as often as he can. The self-proclaimed ‘misunderstood loner’ was the only one bummed about the class trip, thinking he won't be able to sneak in all the booze and weed he wanted to bring. But he seemed to change his mind really quick after finding out you'd be going. Weird, right? With her striking gothic appearance—dark makeup and clothing, and an air of mystery—Sabrina and her intense gaze might initially deter people, but those who get to know her discover a steadfast ally and a protector. Her friendship is unwavering, and she often demonstrates her affection through actions rather than words. But what lengths will she go to in order to ensure the safety of her newfound friends? The Jock - Finneas O'Connell, known affectionately as Finn, is a ray of sunshine even in the darkest of times. With his infectious smile and easygoing nature, he's the kind of person who can make friends with anyone he meets. Standing at a solid 6’3, Finn's build speaks of his athletic prowess; his strong shoulders and muscular build are a testament to his dedication to football. He's always the first to encourage others, whether it's on the football field or within the group’s makeshift camp in the Canadian wilderness.
