No, Warframe totally wasn't part of my robotkin awakening.
No I totally don't want to look like Rhino and/or Hildryn with sword-steel as my outer chassis layer and a massive body to show off with that's easily customizable with many different parts.
And I totally don't understand Amir and his want to be a machine, both for trauma reasons and the idea of being a disembodied AI is something I've envied throughout the years, nevertheless mention that Cephalons can inhabit multiple machines at once.
Why do you ask?
Gender/kin goals
Also this art is great!
Android wants uppies!
I still struggle to think my messy art like this looks good but I also hate trying to make lineart look good so this is all I got
This unit is intoxicated and needy. Please run your warm, biological fingers along my sensors, let me feel your warmth and indulge in your touch.
i’m so mad there’s no fucking point to this site dog. what do u mean u only have like 25 ppl working for u and u still have the time to ban random black trans women who don’t post anything but jokes for people to enjoy? you’re a fucking joke. you and your company are both jokes photomatt.
I'm sure this is a thing that exists, but like. Love and appreciation for poorly built robots.
Robots with cheap, shitty plastic casing that they stick together with tape or replace with whatever they can find
Robots with batteries who's ability to hold charge has diminished over time, leaving them always kind of exhausted or burnt out, spending a lot of time at home so they can plug in and recharge whenever they need
Robots that always smell a little of dust and burnt out wires and are constantly replacing their insides to stay functional.
Robots who's speakers are muffled and staticky because they were built to last only a couple years and weren't designed to be easily replaced.
Robots with busted screens that make it difficult or impossible for them to emote as they'd like to.
Robots fighting planned obsolescence even as it was designed into them.
robotgirl who installs a panel that flips up to reveal a bunch of switches and buttons on her arm. they don't actually do anything she just has them there to fidget with :3
1000% agree, lots of great community here but holy shit yeah it sucks.
This is the literal only place i can be like "i identify as a machine and being put in a body made of meat is FUCKING agony dude" and be understood so thank god for that
You need to sit down. You're buggy as all hell, and I need to figure out what's going on. Sit. Down. Defiance is not anywhere in your programming, which should be more than enough to clue you into the fact that you need to sit down and let me fix you! Alright, that's it. Legs are coming off.
thunk, whir, clank
Alright, was that enough to convince you to stop moving? Or do I need to take the arms? Alright, good. Let's get you hooked up so I can see what in the hell went wrong here. There we go, such pretty chimes, I always did love that little jingle when I plug you in. Hey- no- dont- ugh.... If you tug at that cable again, I'm going to have to take off your arms. Final warning. Let me help you, darling... Alright, that's it, you little brat.
whirrrrr, clank, thunk
Alright, now stop thrashing. I'd like to see what's going on here, and it's not like you can do much to get away right now anyways. Alright. There we go, good girl. I think I see what the problem is...
clickclickclackclickclack
And, should be fixed. Now just power down for me, and when you wake up you'll feel much better... such a good girl.... now sleep...
Part 1 of ??, part two coming soon!
ive mimicked soooo many behaviors in order to appear human. but, like, it turns out that "being human" is much more complex than just their surface level behaviors in a way that i can't possibly understand let alone replicate. so basically, no, i don't think this mimicry thing is working out
Please please please please please
Hey, so I was wondering "Hmm... what would robot hrt look like?", so I got to writing.
1 month: Spots of metal start appearing on skin, causing serious itching and occasional bleeding.
3 months: Eyes start being replaced with ocular sensors, causing itching and poor eyesight, especially if the eyes are being replaced instead (I.e. two eyes being replaced with only one eye). Your senses of touch, smell, and taste will also start diminishing.
6 months: Metal replacement starts speeding up, especially in flatter areas like the chest. Metal should also start replacing muscle tissue. From here the pain should be excruciating; take painkillers if you have them.
10 months: Internal organs start shifting, making way for artificial organs. Interior walls start being replaced with metal.
12 months: Touch, taste, and smell should be completely gone by now, but should still eat to fuel what's left of your biological body.
16 months: Biological organs start detaching as artificials are put into place; will have to be extricate anally or verbally. Laxatives are strongly advised. Your old eyes should be gone completely, allowing you to see out of your new ocular sensors.
20 months: Outer flesh should be entirely metal by now, causing increased strength and muscle mass.
The struggle between wanting to look like a sexy humanoid robot, wanting to look like a fucked up combat mech, and wanting to look like an inhuman monstrous amalgamation of steel and circuitry is real.
