“Alright, I think that’s it.” Ethan said, huffing as he put the cardboard box down. She looked down sadly at the last remaining box on the floor. He looked at her and ducked his head to meet her gaze. She flicked her eyes to him, slowly watering. “Oh, baby,” he cooed softly and pulled her into a hug.

“I want to go home.” She whined, resting her head on his chest. He rubbed her back soothingly as she softly cried. He wanted her to go home too. A selfish part of him wanted her to stay home and take online classes, but he knew she needed to be at this school. 

“I know you do honey, but you’re gonna have fun here. You’re gonna do so well.”

She sniffled and wiped her eyes. He smiled at her and kissed her on her head. Ethan grabbed her hand and led her to sit on her bed. She slowly hopped on, and she immediately curled into a ball. He jumped on next to her and situated himself to hug her from behind. He rested his arm around her stomach, to which she grabbed his hand. 

Ethan lifted his chin up to sit on her shoulder, and he softly kissed her cheek. “I love you, I’ll only be a call away.” he whispered in her ear, sending chills down her spine. A few tears rolled down her cheeks, and she slightly smiled at his words. 

“I know you’re scared, but I know you’re going to meet cool people, and you’re going to have so much fun. You’re gonna do things on your own for the first time, and I’ll be here to watch.” He played with her hair, twirling a few strands.

“You’re not gonna be here though, to cuddle.”

Ethan smiled giddily suddenly, jumping up off the bed. Y/N held her head up and looked at him with confusion. “I was hoping you would say that,” He started while opening the box that he had set down earlier. He pulled out something and held it behind his back, turning towards Y/N and smiling. 

“What is it?” She asked timidly. He walked to the side of the bed and smiled down at her, before pulling out the object to reveal a brown stuffed bear. It wore a blue shirt, and around its neck, was a gold heart-shaped locket. As soon as she laid eyes on it, she started to cry. 

“Baby,” He said worriedly as he reached for her.

“It looks like you.” She cried, putting her hand on the bear’s chest. She looked at the matching shirt it wore, the same as Ethan’s favorite shirt, and held the gold locket charm. 

“Look inside,” 

She opened the locket, her shoulders dropped, and her head tilted. It was a picture of Ethan, cheesing like the absolute dork he was. He held his hands up in a heart pose near his chest. “Ethan, this is adorable.”

He smiled happily at her, and he sat down on the bed next to her, watching as she admired her gift. 

“Now whenever you miss me, you can cuddle Ethan Jr.” 

“‘Ethan Jr.’?” she laughed, looking at him. 

“Oh!” He slightly yelled. He grabbed the bear’s right hand and gently squeezed it. Y/N heard shuffling near the hand, and then heard a soft “I love you!”, recognizing Ethan’s voice. She sighed as she looked at the bear, then looked at Ethan, who still had a dopey expression. 

“You got Ethan Jr. a voice box?” she asked, giggling. He nodded at her and wrapped her arms around her, kissing her neck and cheek. He tackled her down, positioning her to lay back on the bed. Ethan’s curls bounced as he settled himself on top of her chest, sighing. Her hands found their way to his hair, running them through. She softly smiled to herself, and she felt her anxiety slowly start to disappear.

“I meant it earlier, you call me and I’ll get here.” Ethan whispered, at the edge of sleep.

“I know, Eth. I love you. Thank you for everything.” 

Ethan lifted his chin up to rest on her chest. He smiled once more as the corners of his eyes wrinkled. He knew this sadness in her would pass after a week, he knew she would meet new people and immediately click with them, and he knew she would thrive. He just wished she could do it with him; but seeing her face, the way she looked at him, he wasn’t worried.

“I love you more, my love.”

Baby on Netflix Italia : an under rated series with catchy storyline and fabulous plot !!

Based on real life incidents Baby on Netflix is a must watch series which follows the story of two girls i.e. Chiara Altieri (Benedetta Porcaroli) and Ludovica (Alice Pagani)  who go to a very elite school in Rome and later get themselves engaged into prostitution.

 Throughout the first and second season of Baby we see different shades of how much empty and messed up are the elitist youth even if it feels all glitzy and glamorous from the outside to normal people. Rich spoilt elites are also shackled with the false pretenses they have to keep in front of their school friends, family and the elitist society.

Special mention here to the mind blowing acting done by entire star cast which has made this series successful today. But the bonding seen in Baby between characters of Chiara and Ludo is the glue which gives the drama freshness and to audiences along with fans across the globe these both are perfect friendship goals.

With male leads of the series i.e. Niccolo Rossi (Lorenzo Zurzolo), Damiano Younes (Riccardo Mandolini), and Fiore (Guiseppe Maggio) we see that their characters evolve beautifully transitioning from being happy go lucky unemotional being rich spoilt brats (Niccolo and Damiano) and play boyish escort cartel owner (Fiore) to vulnerable guys having emotional upheavals with facing deceptions, revelations, heartbreaks, love triangles, and affairs that make them feel broken and empty in insides.

Later we see them protecting themselves by keeping a strong indifferent façade to show others they are fine but in reality they are not all.

The background setting is basically Chiara and Ludo in an elite school involved in prostitution secretly where Niccolo, Damiano and Fiore’s stories are also connected to the girls and how the elite society tries to stop their freedom and dreams by imposing their way of life on this troubled youth.

Brownie points to Chiara (Benedetta) and Ludo’s (Alice) breath-taking acting coupled with excellent dialogue delivery, on point facial expressions and their on screen bonding and camaraderie with male lead actors in the series is truly remarkable which makes ‘’Baby’’ (2018) an interesting watch in this global corona pandemic era full of quarantine.

Baby is a visual treat for the youth who want to see some freshly brewed realistic content that’s strong enough to spike mystery level and hold their attention span with its inquisitiveness.

Baby is a complete power packed entertainer that portrays the real dark side of elitist world with Chiara and Ludo’s secret lives as prostitutes.

Certainly with this upcoming final season on 16th September 2020, we can only expect it to be a melting pot where emotions, romance, friendships and familial ties come at a breaking point with secret’s out in the open which would have its own consequences as well.

Baby Final season 3 (Finale) comes out on Netflix Italia on the 16th September 2020.
