DO NOT DO THIS.

DO NOT DO THIS.

DO NOT DO THIS.

This makes me so angry.

If you work in a movie theater and you do this I have no respect for you.

My younger brother is Type 1 Diabetic.

When we go to a movie theater, we always get him diet soda. If he were to get regular when we asked for diet, we would not give him the insulin he would need for it. If that happens, his blood sugar level could go so high he could go into a coma, go blind, or even die.

If somebody gave him regular soda instead of diet without telling us, that person could be responsible for a nine-year-old being killed or blinded.

Just thinking about that makes me so angry. I get scared every time we take him to a movie in case the people working there saw this picture and decide to do the same thing.

Please signal boost this so people know.

I’m Still Trying To Figure Out A Consistent Killer Croc Design, But I’m Getting Closer. Half The

I’m still trying to figure out a consistent Killer Croc design, but I’m getting closer. Half the time, he’s an actual lizard and half the time he’s just some guy with a skin condition, so I wanted to kind of blend the two. I don’t have much backstory figured out for him yet; He had some kind of skin condition and entered a drug trial that made things worse, then somewhere along the way he was imbued with actual reptile characteristics against his will.

He and Otis met sometime shortly after that, probably after Otis went to prison. They both hide out in the sewers a lot, so they cross paths regularly. They were also cellmates in Arkham at one point.

👀 ...... do u have an OC u would like to show and tell......??? 👀👀👀

Buddy I am going to make you regret asking that.

👀 ...... Do U Have An OC U Would Like To Show And Tell......??? 👀👀👀

Since I don't really post original story stuff on this account, my main squeeze OC is this guy, Adrien. He's primarily a DC rogue, but I've been having fun expanding on his backstory lately to include some potentially unrelated stuff.

Also don't worry about all those missing kid posters--they're all him. He's been in the crime business for most of his life thanks to his father, a wannabe gangster who decided that the best fuck-you to his wife would be to kidnap their toddler and go on the lam before she could finish getting over that catholic guilt concerning divorce. Adrien went back and forth between ages and genders regularly, repeating or skipping grades as needed to fit whichever social security card his dad had snatched that month. His current identity is the longest-running one he's had, taken up after his dad disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

As a criminal, Adrien mostly deals in sabotage, either for corporations or for the mob. He prefers to be on retainer rather than causing trouble for his own sake. That can mean anything from destruction of property to taking a party hostage inside of a burning building. He puts the engineering skills to good use by quietly dismantling structures from the inside. A few crossed wires here and a few blocked doors there can cause a surprising amount of mayhem in just a couple of minutes. It pays pretty well too, if you don't count all the medical bills for getting his ass kicked and/or threatened with a torturous death by the Penguin for trying to burn down his club.

So yeah, this asshole is where I dump all my niche interests as of late. Thanks for letting me rant about him a bit <3

Having an emotionally mature partner is TOP TIER. You're able to express yourself freely and openly. They don’t insult you. They don't give you the silent treatment. They don't become aggressive or manipulative. They listen, they respond—they patiently hold a safe space for you.

Because where something comes from matters.

art is not static

big takeaway from 'cant separate art from artist' talk is that some buds have VERY hard time recognizing art is not static and its meaning changes over time. they sarcastically ask 'so if you find out someone is bad their art somehow gets worse?' UH YEAH BUD THAT IS EXACTLY IT

seen things like: 'okay you listen to song and AT FIRST you love it then you learn its by charlie manson you cant just suddenly say now its bad' as if this is gotcha moment. i assure you bud i absolutely CAN suddenly say its bad now thats literally how artistic experience works

BUD WITH EYEROLL: 'so you are saying art changes based on what you know or dont know about who made it like some objective constantly evolving thing just because of how it makes you feel?' CHUCK: 'yes now you are just describing art now over and over again as if you are making a point'

so i have a mildly popular “reblog and put in in the tags” post going around and its. very clear how many people don’t know how to interact with a tumblr post

so, first of all, tumblr’s culture has changed a lot in the past couple years. there’s a genuine community effort to not start any drama, and ironically a lot of the current hostility is an effort to keep things calm. there’s also a change in how people interact with posts, so if you haven’t been here in a while please skip down to the tags/replies/reblog with text section.

for newcomers: you should be reblogging posts about as liberally as you would like something on twitter. if you only like stuff, people will think you are rude/a bot. you’ve probably heard people talk about “cultivating your dash,” and thats because this platform is 100% centered around your dashboard. trending matters less, unfollowing and blocking in order to shape your dash into it’s best form is widely accepted, the majority of the content you’ll find and interact with will be because of your dash, and the only way to put things on your dash is to reblog them. tumblr users are deeply distrustful of algorithms and have largely turned off the “see posts your friends have liked” function (i recommend you also turn of the various algorithms in settings → general settings → dashboard preferences).

so, once you’ve reblogged a post, there’s three ways to add content to it. the tags, replies, and reblogging with text. all of them have different connotations

the tags: an inside voice. originally they were meant for organizing your blog (and they’re still used for this), but they’ve also morphed into a way to share thoughts that aren’t funny/insightful enough for non-followers to be interested in. when in doubt, put your comment in the tags

replies: basically talking to your friends in class. your followers have no way of finding your replies (they don’t pop up on the dash, nobody gets notified except for the original poster) so chances are, only the person who made the post is gonna see your comment. it’s for quick one-offs that you’re okay with other people overhearing, but really is only made for one person. they’re like a public dm

reblog with text: an outside voice. you’re getting up on a stage in town square and entertaining people. make sure it’s funny or insightful— bottom line, add something new to the conversation. you should use this the least

general rules of thumb:

when in doubt, reblog. people will judge you if your blog is only personal posts and you only interact with other content by liking it.

the only things people will judge you for reblogging are personal vent posts. leave a like to give a little virtual hug

if a post is asking about your personality/opinions (i.e: tell me what’s the last tv show you watched, that kind of thing) put it in the tags

also if you see a nice edit, gifset, or art, reblog and say something nice in the tags! it’s that nice sweet spot of common enough that no one will notice but uncommon enough to make the artist’s day

Are you trapped on tumblr right now?

Is there something you planned to do before you got trapped in the endless tumblr scroll?

Are you yelling at yourself to get up and do the thing, but you can’t, because you’re trapped in the endless tumblr scroll?

Consider this your save point.

Put tumblr down, stand up, stretch, and go do the thing you planned to do. Future you will be incredibly grateful.

If you ever need to justify traumatizing someone by making them feel bad for you and your sad tragic past just know that this person would be way happier without you in their life and using your past trauma to bring more trauma to others lives doesn’t make you the tragic hero you think you are, it’s unoriginal and boring and they will eventually see thru you and be sickened by it and you will not be forgiven
