Viola Davis and Lupita Nyong'o will play a mother and daughter in true story The Woman King for TriStar Pictures.

Inspired by true events that took place in The Kingdom of Dahomey, one of the most powerful states of Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries, The Woman King tells the story of Nanisca (Davis), general of the all-female military unit known as the Amazons, and her daughter Nawi (Nyong’o), who together fought the French and neighboring tribes who violated their honor, enslaved their people, and threatened to destroy everything they’ve lived for.

Cathy Schulman will produce via her Welle Entertainment, along with Davis and and her husband Julius Tennon via their JuVee Productions. Maria Bello of Jack Blue Productions will also produce.

Hannah Minghella and Nicole Brown will oversee the project for TriStar Pictures.

This is a theme song of the MCU movie, black panther. Kendric Lamar and SZA participated in this song. And Alexander William Shuckburgh, Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, Mark Anthony Spears, and Solana I. Rowe made this. It sometimes reminds me some scenes of black panther. (Refer to some scenes of black panther Be careful if you don't want to get some spoilers.
