awww thank you so much!!! i love doing it too, and to be completely honest am not sure how to shade if i don't use hatching + cross hatching? it's my favorite too :))

anyway i think people who minimise any sort of physical characteristic like disability/race/being fat are kinda weird, like i get that you have an art style but maybe try adapting your style to encompass different visual traits instead of erasing said traits?
