Exam season is all about balance.
Study too much, you burn out
Study too little, you won't enjoy the results
So, here's my recent attempt at balance.
6/6 exams to go
remember to thank yourself for how far you’ve come.
it hasn’t been easy.
Had a big family gathering today, so yesterday night I had to work extra time to stay on top of my work. Had a lot of fun with my relatives, but now it's time to go back to studying :)
9/05/22
Did not sleep at all last night.
I have an early exam the day after tomorrow early in the morning, so I am trying to fix my sleep schedule. Sleep would be wonderful, but desperate times require for desperate measures. Went on a long walk to clear my mind, and now i am studying in a Starbucks, enjoying the chill music in the background. Ordered an iced chai latte for the first time (usually i get it hot) and it is heavenly.
Hope I won't fall asleep while in public :)
8/100 days of productivity
I love getting the highest grades in class.
the things that bring me the most joy are the simplest: the feeling of climbing in to my own bed after a long day. the smell of coffee. a stranger being kinder than i expected. waking up to the sound of rain. the sound of a loved one's laughter. these simple joys are all i need.
Giving presentations to high schools on Girls State today and decided to do homework in between. The grind never stops
To conquer the world you still have to go step by step about it
This past year i found that no matter how great the challenge, it helps me immensely to stay calm (ignore my panic) and just start working towards my goals systematically.
Starting is the hardest part.
4/6 exams to go
journaling while waiting for inside out 2 to start ~ I am having a pretty good golden weekend ✨ I attended PGH orientation for postgrad interns, did laundry and cleaned. did vid call with my mom. my heart is happy.
Pushing through the burnout
realizing that sticking to the "do it bad" "do it scared" mentality implies theres also a "do it bored"
I chose to waste time in a way I like, and everything aesthetic fills my soul
