Well it did take her six to even find Grandma.
…you know, it’s honestly just struck me that it’s taken nearly eight years for Little Red Riding Hood to meet the Big Bad Wolf.
Slow. Burn.
In terms of how good their grades were at Beacon, the ranking for team RWBY from best to worst is as follows:
Yang
Weiss
Ruby
Blake
Yang above Weiss, you ask? It’s simple really. Weiss grew up with private tutors pretty much always available to her. Yang, on the other hand, learned how to study on her own to the point that she could make top marks without a ton of effort. Weiss studies intensively, so as to compensate for not having tutors. And it royally pisses Weiss off when after all that extra work, Yang still makes better grades than her. Yang just excels at self-taught stuff. She built a whole-ass motorcycle herself, for Brothers’ sake!
As for Ruby, she sorta has the same studying ability as her sister, but just doesn’t perform as well academically. She was solidly in B’s and C’s territory.
Blake is a little cheating shit gremlin. She will copy off of you. She will plagiarize. She doesn’t have much formal schooling at all, so it’s understandable. She might read a lot, but she reads solely for pleasure. She won’t read shit if it’s for an assignment. Her huntress training skills make up for it, and her team helping her with assignments keeps her head above C-level. She’s very intelligent, she just cannot be bothered with this stuck-up Human academia stuff, she’s here to learn to fight.
The other Happy Huntresses, and Nora, find May and Jaune dozed off cuddling on the couch together with some sappy movie playing, how to they react?
robyn: *sigh*
joanna: should i wake them
robyn: no no just leave them
fiona: *star eyes* AAAAAAAAAAH
nora: i knew it was the haircut
Love how you can just add the respective missing hat to any one of Blake’s outfits to instantly demonstrate which type of formal menswear inspired it.
Ruby: Yang isn’t thirsty ALL the time, right Yang?
Yang:
I feel like I need to say this, as I've seen some concerning fandom purity bullshit crossing my dash.
This blog is unapologetically pro AO3.
I support them and all they do, may they continue to do it for decades to come.
I half want it to go like:
JNR Runs into Cinder again while Atlas is going to hell.
Jaune and Cinder end up tug-o-warring the lamp.
Jaune: Seriously! Why are you like this!?
Jinn: Well since you want to know...
And Jaune (and Nora & Ren (and Neo?)) get Tragic Backstory poured into their ears.
Could even play the long game with it, have it shown that they get told about it in the middle of action, but save anything but reactions and hints to the audience until things calm down again. Heck, you can have Team JNR narrate Cinder’s backstory to Team RWBY (and the audience), even have them still keeping some things hidden.
Jaune: And then, Salem found her...
Nora: Well, before that there was-
Jaune: Salem found her, Nora!
I remember hearing once that Cinder isn’t Ruby’s villain, she’s Jaune’s (and JNPRs as a whole), and I’ve only believed it more since. And having JNR seeing Cinder’s past like RWBY saw Salem’s would pretty much prove it permanently for me.
Sudden thought, think we'll learn Cinder's past in flashbacks like Ren and Nora's? Or that the heroes or one or two heroes will actually be told it or learn of it?
in response to weiss x emerald being likely, i mean, they both kept getting paired together in the intos,,,that m i g h t be leading somewhere
I always thought that. Like in the v3 intro it shows Ruby fighting Cinder (makes sense, they’ve fought in the show), Blake fighting Adam (makes sense, they’ve fought in the show), Yang fighting Mercury (makes sense, they’ve fought in the show), and...Weiss fighting Emerald? That fight has never happened.
There gotta be something there right?
Toko wants someone who’d sneak over to her room at night to see her.
Why not start basic. How/When do you imagine them meeting?
I mean there’s a couple ways I enjoy it. Thw first one I think quite a few people have mentioned this way already.
They could meet after the fall at some point.
Jaune finds out Neo really only wants revenge. She’s convinced by the group to join their side because really it is Cinder’s fault. She continues on her revenge thing for a while. Then comes these late evenings, where its just Neo and Jaune, they communicate, and he tries to get through to her that he has gone through the same thing. The only thing it managed to do is get him in a bad situation and someone he cares about hurt.
She’s stubborn though, and she only cared about one other person. It doesn’t get through to her. He doesn’t stop, to her annoyance. She keeps her distance from the group, but she slowly gets dragged in by them to hangout. She ends up hanging around JNR more, however it is still awkward.
They manage to get her to smile, not a smirk but a genuine smile. She starts noticing and denying how close she is getting with them, specifically Jaune. It’s when she notices one day that as they’re all walking together she skipped forward and latched onto Jaune’s arm. She doesn’t know how long she was holding it for, but when she realizes what she is doing she jerks away.
She goes back to her distancing again. Jaune gets the worst of it. This goes on for a bit as he attempts to figure out what happened. Sometime later in a battle, Neo is too eager for a fight, and it leads to Jaune getting knocked out of it. For the first time in a long while, Neo’s heart jumps out of fear. She can’t control herself as she finds her body running towards him and holding him.
It’s at that moment she realizes what Jaune was trying to convince her. When the fight is clear and over with she stays by him until he’s better. When he comes to Neo is there to greet him, and she’s so ecstatic he is alright. She jumps in his lap, and he groans of pain. She smile at that before getting angry at him for making her worry. The next thing she knows shes kissing him, hard, and finally admits to herself that she cares about someone else. She jumps off his lap afterwards, and leave the room with him in shock. If he wants her, he’s gonna have to stand up and get her.
The other way is just that they meet up when Neo was pretending to be a student during the festival. And I won’t go to big into detail on that.
But this blog exists in it’s own universe cause I probably will reference being at beacon a bit.
It’d been one weird morning for Jaune Arc, he woke up in an empty dorm, which was rare enough. And he was getting a strange sort of attention. It seemed like whenever he said a word, greeting the people he knew or even just excusing himself past anyone he didn’t, half the heads in the hall would snap in his direction.
Jaune: Good morning Professor Goodwitch.
Glynda: Ah~! *Flinches in her seat. Crushing a coffee mug with one gripping hand.*
Jaune: Miss? Are you alright?
Glynda: Yes! Yes, I’m fine, Mr. Arc, was just up a bit too late… Filing…
Jaune: Seems like you do everything around here, do you need any help with your hand?
Glynda: No. Well, maybe one thing…
Jaune: Yes? Professor?
Glynda: Could you… *Reddening* Say my name again…?
Jaune: …?
Inspired by RWBY Chibi: Jaune's ASMR blog goes viral, and turns out all the girls at Becon are getting off to his soft whispering voice.
Nora: Hey guy! Morning! Did you hear the news?!! Jaune’s got a new ASMR cha- *Looks at Team RWBY* -nnel. . .
Yang: *Looking sweaty and disheveled*
Ruby: *Nodding off half asleep*
Weiss: *Looking tired and wearing a wrist brace*
Blake: *Passed out and snoring on top of her books*
Pyrrha: *Blushing* I think they heard about it.
Yang: *Has bag under her eyes* I haven’t slept in 3 days. . .
