I know people probably already hc this but what if while Sirius learned ballet, Regulus learned how to ice skate.

Sirius loved ballet but couldn’t skate for shit meanwhile Regulus learned how to do all the tricks and flips and stuff (I don’t skate I have no clue what the lingo is)

So whenever the lake was frozen over he would go super early in the morning and practice what he only got to do a couple months a year.

James, being the maniac who gets up at five in the morning to go for a jog, is one of the only people to actually see Reg skate.

At first he couldn’t see it was him and thought ‘this dude’s gonna fall on his ass trying to ice skate in the dark’. He couldn’t make out much but was mesmerized by the figure who moved so elegantly on the ice.

He would only realize it was Regulus an hour later when the sky finally started to lighten up. Regulus was taking off his skates when he looked up and saw James fully facing him (away from the jogging trail). They both stayed silent until James whispered ‘bloody hell’ and speed walked back to the school.

Every morning they would see each other, maybe nod, exchange pleasantries, until one morning. The ice was too thin to skate on and Regulus certainly wasn’t going to risk it, so instead he joined James for his early morning jog. It shocked James, and if Regulus was being honest, it shocked him too. They ended up having a really nice conversation. That was the morning they both realized they had a crush on each other.

Sirius and the rest of the marauders start spreading rumors or telling really embarrassing stories of Regulus when he was younger.

They would tell anyone they met about Regulus being able to catch a pigeon with his bare hands and doing it on several occasions. How he once bodied a stranger after they said his earrings were gay. How he set a trash can on fire. How he’s actually bald and just wears a wig all the time.

Sirius even found a way to get an interview for a magazine as an “Account on the newest star Regulus Black from his very own brother”. He said the most insane things but with so much conviction they all believed him.

Things got so out of hand that when Reg was in the middle of an interview the interviewer asks, “it is true you were once so in love with your brothers best friend, you sent him a love letter a day for a month?”

Reg just sits there for a minute, fazed by this super random question. Then he looks directly into the camera and goes, “Sirius I’m gonna cut all your hair off” and walks out.

Sirius cackled when he saw it.

Regulus: Sirius don’t be stupid

Regulus: My blood is as Black as my soul

Madam Pomfrey: *looks directly into the camera*😐

Regulus: *In the hospital wing because he got injured*

Madam Pomfrey: What's your type?

Regulus: Uh..James Potter.

Madam Pomfrey:

James:

James: Reggie, she means blood type.

Regulus: Oh...I don't know, ask my brother.

Madam Pomfrey: Mr Black, what is his blood type?

Sirius: Ugh, red??

An internal monologue I wrote from Regulus’ perspective about Jily. *Incredibly angsty.* (i don’t know how to do the read more thing but know that I would if I could)

I can’t identify my feelings while watching you. You walking in with her on your arm. You move your arm around her waist. She nuzzles into your neck, you kiss her hair.

You look happy. Different from when you were with me. You were happy with me too, but not like that. You look calm. At peace. Like everything has finally fallen in place. Well, everything was already in place, I guess I was the only thing that wasn’t.

I can’t even get mad. Trust me, I am. I am devastated.

No one knows. No one can see. But I am in mourning.

People say love shouldn’t hurt but love is hurt. Love is pain, jealousy, anger, fear, a slow and unmarked torture.

There’s a reason they call it heartache. To ache to be near them, to ache when you’re apart from them. There’s a reason you ‘fall’ in love. It is not deliberate, nor wanted, and if you don’t figure out how you’re going to land before you do, you’ll break.

But I have no right to hurt. I thought you were mine. You told me you were. But seeing you now… I guess we were both foolish. Because I will always be yours, but you were clearly never mine.

I can’t be upset with you when I was the one to fuck it all up. I was the one who pulled away when things got difficult. I was the one who shut down when you yelled. I was the one who couldn’t give you a proper answer. Couldn’t tell you just how much you mean to me. I hope you know I tried. I tried so hard. I promise.

I don’t think my promises mean much to you anymore.

But now, here we are. With you so happy, and me so far away. We were always in different worlds. Living different lives. But there was a point in time when you actually convinced me we could create a new one together. Just for us.

That’s the cruel thing about time. It gives you so much. It lets you experience things, love things, only to take it all away. The feeling lingers, the situation does not.

I wish time would speed up. Then the ache would fade. Then you would graduate and I wouldn’t be forced to watch you fall without me.

Idk if people do this anymore but I need help finding a fic that I read like a month ago. It’s a jegulus fic where Regulus doesn’t have a car so Sirius has James drive him to work. James says he’s straight but him and Reg have this flirty lil relationship. One night James comes to Reg drunk and they canoodle but James is gone in the morning I think?? I’m a lil fuzzy on that detail. After that Reg starts dating Kingsley because he’s not gonna fuck with a straight boy again. Then Kingsley moves away and they break up and then Reg and James get together. Also Sirius and Remus fell in love doing porn together and that’s their little side story

The fic was like three chapters but the word count was probably around 10,000-40,000, I can’t imagine it being longer than that.

I loved it and it was fun but now I can’t find it so SOMEBODY ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE

What did I do in my past life to deserve not having an enemy to fight with until we keep getting put together for things and see that while both of us have our flaws we actually are humans with emotions and suddenly we like spending time with each other but neither of us would admit to that and when we fight it’s explosive but we always make up and when one of us gets hurt the other goes still and quietly asks ‘who did this to you?’ and then beats the shit out of that person and don’t even get me started on the staring-

Bumble bee or bee (James reminded Reg of spring so he called him spring related things -also James has bee vibes)

Sun (James insisted on giving him a star name so obviously he’s gonna give him the sun. Bright, warm, etc.)

Four eyes (he couldn’t resist)

Also broom boy (just as affectionate)

Reg never used any of these in front of other people except for ‘Jamie.’ He found nicknames super personal and didn’t think everyone should know about them.

James knew how Reg felt about nicknames. He felt so special to be called anything by him. His face lit up even when Reg called him four eyes.

I’m not saying we need more james or lily slander.

All I’m saying is that we’re not using jegulus’ unique relationship with canon to its fullest potential.

Like why not have Lily be toxic sometimes? Why can’t we have more bestfriend’s brother -esque fics? Or maybe even have James be a douche and unfaithful?

We’re already so far away from canon, why don’t we just cut off ties with it every once in a while?

AU Fic idea

James and Reg dated. James broke up with Reg and started dating Lily (the break up was very much not mutual)

James is an actor playing Marius and Reg is the director for Les Mis.

Imagine Regulus explaining ‘On My Own’ to the actress playing Éponine, trying to open her up and get her emotional and shit. And James is just hearing everything he’s saying and realizing that that’s how he felt when they broke up.

He had to watch James love Lily openly. Listen to him practically write sonnets in the hallways for her. Every time Reg was hanging out with all of them after the breakup James would always steer the conversation towards Lily and Regulus just had to go along with it.

He watches Reg explain to the actress how Éponine knows that he doesn’t love her, but that won’t stop her from loving him. That she accepts her suffering because she can’t make him love her back. Reg explains it like he’s telling a personal story. James can see the actress start tearing up as she embraces the scene.

And it’s that ‘oh’ moment when James actually realizes what Regulus went through. That this is a personal story to him. He knows it wasn’t mutual but he didn’t realize how much Regulus hurt because of it.
