"I imagine that it must be a rather bittersweet," Robin muses lowly, eyes flickering to meet Laer's with a raised brow before they flicker back to the golden tree. There is far too much fascination on her gaze to allow herself to look away from the tree. Not at least until her inner sense alerts her it is time to attend Aurora's celebrations. She wants to burn her the image into her memories, ensure she will never forget the sight before her and the marvel that it brings, heart lightened to know that they are safer now they have been for nearly a year. "The price of knowing this love once more was high, and yet we cannot deny it's call." Not when the sense of safety it's something they have been desperate to get back after their overwhelming loss. Shaking her head, Robin finally turns to face Laer, paying rapt attention of his description of his Court. "I shall open some space on my schedule to do just so. I have always been fond of the Summer Court's appearance."
"It's like I remember it." Laer moved to stand at Robin's side as he looked up at the breadth of the great, golden tree. When standing directly in front of it the creation all but blotted out the horizon. There were so many stories about Laurelin and Telperion; immortality, ambrosia, the list went on but that's all they really were. Stories. Tamlen's fate was tethered to this tree, that was reason enough to wish to understand the truth of it, even more so was the strength he felt under its glow. "It feels like nothing in the world can touch us again, pure like..." He thought of Sune, "Love." To answer her questions, Laer managed to look away from the tree for a moment, "Well, we've moved through the oceans encompassing the island, the borders where they end and ascend into the sky, the clouds. You should come visit some time, you and your court are welcome in the canopy above anytime."

"How is immortality treating you, darling? I am sure it's quite the adjustment," there has not been a moment throughout the party in which she had not had a drink on her hand, and this time she brings a mojito to her lips as she asks the winter eladrin. "I am sure your new tolerance against human alcohol is a bit of a bother, is it not?"

"A little bird told me that Aurora's favorite beverage flavor is pumpkin pie, do you think it's accurate?" She muses loudly as she falls next to Farenduil in line, a smirk of mischief on her lips as she glances up with a wink, making abundantly clear of what she had meant, but not breaching the topic openly for the new human's benefit. "Although, I must admit, this place have quite the delicious winter brews."

After the answering the call of the Wild, the door before her should mean nothing. It does not lead to an end, nor towards any sort of physical agony of the sort, and yet it is a looming creature she almost does not want to confront. Yet, what sort of Chancellor would she be if she were to allow a mere conversation to scare her off with her tail between her legs? A sigh leaves her lips as she raises her hand to knock on Farenduil's door, a second basket of the Autumn's Harvest floating next to her. With his change, she had not felt it safe for him to be welcomed to the yearly festivities, and yet his lack of presence had been painful. The least she could do is to offer more of the Harvest to ensure he knew that he was still welcomed to peruse the fields, even if they could no longer be his home.
"Do open, Farenduil, we have far too much to discuss," Robin calls through the door, even as she plucks one of the apples from the floating basket and takes a bite for herself. "The longer you take, the more likely the pumpkin spice ice cream tubs are too spoil, too."
edeliexii:
It’s a troubling situation across the board. Èdelie predicts things will likely become more gruesome as time progresses. While fairly new to all things fey, making the decision to try and destroy the crystal was the right thing to do. The plight she’s beginning to embrace is enough for her to shut down, gnawing at her lesser lip in response to Robin’s recommendation. “I don’t know,” she grumbled under her breath, agitated at the image of her engaging in conflict. “There has to be something we can do where self-defense isn’t necessary. I love… us; I love being a fey, and I’m undoubtedly hurt by what transpired, but this is too much to bear.” And it’s too much to process in such a short amount of time, pondering upon what she can do to help ease the situation. “It’s not my livelihood I have to take into consideration, it’s others I truly care about that need protecting. The question is if doing this is worth it.” Èdelie could promptly evaluation the necessary behavioral decision, imploring the risk factors of it all.
...
“I am afraid that it might be impossible to remain in the sidelines,” the words are delivered grimly, lips pressed together into a tight smile as her eyes wander away from the young eladrin. Words form and reform on her mind as the tries to encapsulate the true weight of what they are confronting without scaring the poor dear. Life has never been a fairy tale, and she knows Èdelie is aware of the fact. Robin doesn’t know, however, how well she understands the events on the horizon. Most mortals do not, and she was a mortal a mere months ago. It is heartwarming to see her resolve to help others, her resolve to protect and yet. “Unfortunately dear, it is our livelihood that you should take into consideration. Rome is besieged by enemies, yes, and everyone is at risk, but as an eladrin you are doubly so. Our kind is being hunted as we speak, and while we are setting up our own hunting party to counterattack this, that does not take away the risk for us. “
There is no sign of nervousness as she speaks, even though she would very much like to fidget. Instead, she tilts her head in consideration.
“And truly, Èdelie, we are at the precipice of war with multiple parties, I would dare to say that we are not doing enough, rather than we are doing too much,” the words are grim, but she cannot deny the truth to the young fey, not when she is struggling to make a vital choice. “So to answer your question, the answer is yes. It is worth it.”

“I have heard you are quite good at technology,” Robin mentions coming out of the mist to nod at the lycan, Lain Solus if she had heard correctly. She had asked Zahrya first, of a tech adept lycan, then ran into one of the Lycan Council members, one Regina D’Angelo, and she had been pointed his way. For now, there is little clue on where to start attacking the Eye, and despite the clear connection she has with Wade, she has never been one for human technology beyond the every day uses. She needed a hacker, and there just happens to be one amidst the pack? How lucky of her. “I have a proposition to make. A job, really, and one that aligns nicely with your alpha’s desire to raze the Eye to the ground.”
"She is doing surprisingly well," Robin agrees with a hum as she settles next to Assan, offering him one of the drinks she had gotten for them once she was sitting down. Brown eyes settle on Lucas' performance of Hamlet and she tilts her head in consideration. It is truly amazing work, of the sort she had rarely seen in other theaters and as abnormal as the catching choices are, they are all giving their all. It is impressive, and she is sure William would be appreciative of their hard work. "I remember that, it was a rather interesting evening, wasn't it?"

Assan spoke plainly into the mind of the person sat next to him as the two enjoyed the modern Roman's interpretation of a timeless classic. "Lilith is a very good Ophelia," all the actors were surprisingly talented, Nabi as the Ghost of Hamlet's Father was surprising casting - and the necromancer as Hamlet's mother was certainly a choice, but Assan had to give it to every one of them. "I saw the original when it was still being performed by the Lord Chamberlain's men." He recounted, Robin had been a big fan of all Shakespeare's work - kind of a fangirl. Assan sat with an overflowing plate of snacks, uncharacteristically sharing with the person next to him.

"If that is how you feel, there is nothing else to say about it. However, if you ever need my aid in this matter, I will do so freely, as a repayment for the transparency." There is something rotten about having to word their relationship as transactional, but there is a desire to respect Inan's boundaries and they have time to build on the fragile trust he had chosen to extend to her after Fen'harel's betrayal. "I will, yes. I am curious to see what this Count is capable on this matter. You?"
