who? @zahryaofspring where? Laurelin, Audulë  notes: doing the randomize top songs thing and got emperor's new clothes by panic! at the disco

"I admit, it is rather impressive to have named yourself a god of fertility and have your Court accept it without complains," Robin admits idly as she comes to stand next to the Dawn Chancellor. Impressive, but ultimately rather annoying too, to see his delusions reach higher and higher everyday. Alas, they do need his expertise, so she can't help but hope that his delusions solidify into something more solid than his own children. It is all good to see more of his children running around, but they need an overall population boom as well. "I will not be praying to you, but I nonetheless hope that your will manifests in a boom of children in all courts."

Robin loses control of the situation before she figures out the source of Lain's loss of sanity. Lain moves, a

nd with him come the changelings, rusted weapons reaching beyond what their body would make seem possible as the blade dug far into his skin, the sound wet and all the more revolting as she realizes that it is nothing less than a kill shot. Panic sends her heart racing as she crosses the distance and multiple quick steps, hands stretched before they retreated hesitatingly. She could heal him, she knew this, and yet. And yet she wouldn't. There is far too little magic on her, and healing him would scrap the bottom of her reserves, and she cannot do that. Not when the war is barely beginning, and there is work to be done. A pained expression crosses her face as Lain speaks, a keening hurt as she realizes this is it, she has killed her wolf.

The Fall Chancellor is about to open her mouth to reassure him that she knows, that she is ore than well aware that under normal circumstances he would never betray her as he had done.

But she is too late.

Between one breath and the next, Lain is gone, and she is left blinking out his blood from her eyes, the sticky substance smattering her face and clinging to her eyelashes.

It's not a sight that she will forget any time soon.

Robin Loses Control Of The Situation Before She Figures Out The Source Of Lain's Loss Of Sanity. Lain

He wanted nothing more than to give up and run.  But he had no control over his body anymore, the Drow had warped his mind beyond reason.  The only thing that manifested in his thoughts was kill. The wolf charged at Robin once again, only to be intercepted by one of her changelings. For a split second, Lain managed to wrestle back some semblance of control over his corporeal form.  He could have easily evaded the fungal changeling’s blade, but he did not move.  The sword pierced his stomach, the tip protruding from his back.  Pain bloomed through his midsection and it was enough to snap him out of his rampage, his body shrinking back into his human shape.  The room started to spin, he was losing so much blood from a pierced artery, he collapsed against the nearest wall.

“Robin, I’m so sorry,” He managed to gasp out, blood dripping from his mouth.  His shaking hands clutched the open wound on his abdomen, trying in vain to hold back the ichor freely cascading from the gash.  Tears welled in his eyes, he glanced down at his wound then back at the fall chancellor. He would be dead soon, but that fact had not dawned on him yet. “I-I didn’t mean to-,” He couldn’t even finish his sentence before his body exploded. Splattered red viscera was all that was left of him. His lifeblood painted Robin’s clothing, the changelings standing guard, the walls, everything.

Maybe the world would be a better place with him gone.  This was what he always wanted, right? Death.

He Wanted Nothing More Than To Give Up And Run.  But He Had No Control Over His Body Anymore, The Drow

Zahrya hums, a finger on his chin as he grins in Robin’s direction. She and the others were sights to behold, as any eladrin in their status would be, but neither she nor Aurora had the years to let their beauty flourish as he had and Laer once put it best—-summer follows spring.

“Yes yes, beauty is easily obtainable but wonderment goes further. You must dazzle, stun, and amaze all at once with your very presence. Perhaps one day you’ll shine nearly as bright as me!” he giggles, clearly amused by the idea. It was his to rise and hers to fall, so he didn’t think it was possible but who knows. Maybe Robin carried within her an autumn the likes of which Zahrya has never seen. Doubtful, but possible nonetheless.

He loses himself for a moment in the scene of small critters enjoying their blissful day. Robin is correct in that regard at least, displays like that are one of the treasures of this forest. “It’s not just for her,” he shares. “We deserve a place of our own. Here, we can make our own and raise our young ones safely. I was the only one afforded that luxury, and though this isn’t on the scale of the maze, this forest will suffice.”

...

Zahryaofspring:

Robin has an inkling on the direction Zahrya’s thoughts are going, an idea as to what he is alluding amidst his works. Each of court had their innate sense of superiority over the others, and Spring tended to brag about it’s ability to create life. If she isn’t wrong, she knows exactly what he was implying.

She wonders if he realizes how particularly infuriating that belief is, but Zahrya had never been particularly aware nor smart so she doubted it.

“I suppose that is possible,” she concedes, a brief nod to mimic an agreement despite none of her words were a true agreement. Zahrya could keep his misconceptions and biases, for he had so few on his life outside of that and his devotion to the Queen. She wouldn’t want to take that away with the truth. Not when she is trying to mend bonds.

“I am sure the courts appreciate it, I know I do,” she confesses, despite the tugging of guilt at the knowledge she has stolen the Tiber’s land. And yet, the courts now more than ever.

The other hunters are hellbent on this blinding and senseless violence, The Eye comes across many who are meant to act under crucial orders but some seem improperly vetted by association. When their first overseer had been claimed to walk this earth as a ghoul, proper clearances had perhaps fallen to the wayside; Wade had never known The Eye to be desperate enough to snag up whoever desired to be apart of their ruthless ranks. Wade flinches as the knife meets flesh and there’s this inherent gasp and curdling scream that follows, an inevitable that carries so much agony and betrayal. It seeps into the core of his heart, blackens it a little further, almost promises him that place in the Inferno that the abomination had wagged in front of him when it had given him it’s blessing to let him suffer earth side.

He sees the proverbial flames lick around the forest, feels the heat on his neck, when really he’s sweating at the reminder of how out of control it had all become in an almost instantaneous bout of corruption. He cares little for the faith of these heedless hunters but his heart is torn in two places; to listen to Robin’s final omen or stick around to hold weight on the wound, to be consumed by the protectors of the forest, torn apart by lycans. It’d surely be considered the better fate, to meet his own quietus, than to force himself to endure what he’d just done; the agonizing weight of it all.

Wade is simply frozen, pathetically so, stumbling backwards, back towards the fog he had been granted passage to enter through. This was meant to be an innocent recon but it had stumbled into something unforgivable. The rusted scent of blood has since pricked the air and his jaw clenches as though to contain his own sickness at the reminder that it was her blood. Even with his distinct act of accomplished betray, betrayal by pathetic indifference, Robin offers him safe passage home away from the fate that the true harbingers of senseless violence would inevitably discover.

An apology is pricked in saddened irises, but it dies on his lips, it always would as he slips away into the fog back away to the sanctity of Rome and the gelid environment of The Eye’s headquarters. Wade will never be forgiven, he understands this as he recalls the insurmountable grief that struck Robin’s countenance, is anguished under the reminder of the iron blade jutting out of her frame. He would never forgive himself anyhow.

...

Wadecalhoun:

When he stumbles, seemingly collapses unto herself and leaves it doesn’t surprise her, but it does shatter what is left of the faith she held for her once-favorite hunter. It is such a small thing that does it, the way he hesitates, the way he almost reaches back, the way he almost seems sorry — But despite it all, despite the hesitation, despite the countless times she had saved him, he leaves. He heeds her warning and weights his life against hers, and decides his is worth more, every time. Faith is such a funny sentiment, capable of withstanding the worst of storms and shattering at a single look. Robin had believed in Wade, had believed that he saw her as more than the means to an end, more than a convenient relationship to use and then discard.

She had believed them friends, had given him the gift of her friendship and loyalty when she rarely bestowed it to any human, and he had repaid her with the same sort of fire and brimstone the demon he so fears had offered him. It would be ironic if it wasn’t so fucking infuriating.

“With friends like these, who needs enemies,” she mumbles, coughs out through the pain, blood staining the back of her teeth as she looks at the hunters that had remained and smiles like a predator, for what are they but New Rome’s guardian’s prey? She feels them coming as she levels a look at the hunters before her, knows that their judgment day is closer than they would like and the mean-spirited part of her relishes at this information. There might be a sense of unique understanding and empathy for humanity that Robin holds on her chest, but she is not less of a fey because of it. They are a fickle capricious sort, her people, and she has never been shy about her determination to see the Eye burn. Wade has confirmed her suspicions, and she has granted him one last kindness.

Next time, the one bleeding for his mistakes will be him.

She has no need to retaliate against the hunters that remain, though, not when she only has to look to the side to see a changeling emerging from the fog to deliver their fate to them. Instead, she focuses on her song to slow down the blood flow enough to stand up and hobble deeper into the forest. The blade had been iron and properly cured, not impossible to heal but something she would feel much more confident healing with someone else present. Carefully, she limps away from the clearing where the curtain of her friendship with Wade had fallen, leaving behind nothing but a pool of blood and hoping that she will find someone to join her in a healing song sooner rather than later.

"Aurora, my dearest friend. I would find you in the middle of a forest fire without aid," Robin drawls dramatically as she steps past another ice barrier, raising a hand to her chest to add to add to her dramatics. "Of course, the ice show did help, but truly, you are far too bright to be hidden regardless."

She nods at her logic, flawless as usual, and she is glad to be able to contribute to the conversation with something more than her own guesses.

"I ran into Laer on the way here, he is currently fetching Tamlen. I believe he went on the direction of the Senate's current base, but I do not know if he changed his path," she offers. It is unfortunate that she does not know where Zahrya is, but Aurora is likely right. Zahrya is likely to return to the Forest now that they have separated. That, or to find his demon lover to have him close as they fight. Either way, he will be relatively safe and easy to find. Eyes narrowed, Robin considers their options, only to pause when Aurora speaks once more. "Perhaps, perhaps not. Will that stop you from trying once more?"

"Aurora, My Dearest Friend. I Would Find You In The Middle Of A Forest Fire Without Aid," Robin Drawls

This union of their Chancellor magic had been a lot more potent than what had happened at Halloween. But, unlike Halloween, Aurora hadn't need a moment to recuperate. The elf reinforced their borders and fought while her fellows recovered up until that moment, becoming the center of a storm unlike any other that the once winter eladrin had ever conjured. Unforgiving ice and blue fire. Rarely did a soul pass through and, when they did, they were met with blade and shield. But Aurora was one storm in a sea of warriors and still she doubted even a god themself would be able to stop the onslaught of the drow forces. Their enemy had collective strength beyond anything she had ever seen, or anything she had ever seen from the memories of her ancestors.

Huginn hadn't needed to inform Aurora of the Autumn Chancellor's approach - she felt the familiarity and made sure not even a flake of snow touched Robin as she approached. "Hope it wasn't too hard to find me," Aurora joked, though her tone and her expression were as serious as death. She conjured up another wall of ice immediately where one had just fallen to a monstrous beast just a few blocks away. "No. But something tells me Tamlen isn't dead, not by Laer's reaction." Tamlen had certainly changed, changed into something. Plus, Aurora would have expected an ocean by Laer to drown half the city or a sandstorm to blind them all in his rage. "I have a feeling he'd be looking for him now." Aurora felled the monster, the tentacled thing bursting into shatters of crystalline ice. "Zahrya would never go far from the Forest."

There was a moment of hesitation but Aurora couldn't keep the sense of impending doom to herself anymore. "We're not going to be able to hold this city, Robin."

This Union Of Their Chancellor Magic Had Been A Lot More Potent Than What Had Happened At Halloween.

It’s a troubling situation across the board. Èdelie predicts things will likely become more gruesome as time progresses. While fairly new to all things fey, making the decision to try and destroy the crystal was the right thing to do. The plight she’s beginning to embrace is enough for her to shut down, gnawing at her lesser lip in response to Robin’s recommendation. “I don’t know,” she grumbled under her breath, agitated at the image of her engaging in conflict. “There has to be something we can do where self-defense isn’t necessary. I love… us; I love being a fey, and I’m undoubtedly hurt by what transpired, but this is too much to bear.” And it’s too much to process in such a short amount of time, pondering upon what she can do to help ease the situation. “It’s not my livelihood I have to take into consideration, it’s others I truly care about that need protecting. The question is if doing this is worth it.” Èdelie could promptly evaluation the necessary behavioral decision, imploring the risk factors of it all.

...

Edeliexii:

“I am afraid that it might be impossible to remain in the sidelines,” the words are delivered grimly, lips pressed together into a tight smile as her eyes wander away from the young eladrin. Words form and reform on her mind as the tries to encapsulate the true weight of what they are confronting without scaring the poor dear. Life has never been a fairy tale, and she knows Èdelie is aware of the fact. Robin doesn’t know, however, how well she understands the events on the horizon. Most mortals do not, and she was a mortal a mere months ago. It is heartwarming to see her resolve to help others, her resolve to protect and yet. “Unfortunately dear, it is our livelihood that you should take into consideration. Rome is besieged by enemies, yes, and everyone is at risk, but as an eladrin you are doubly so. Our kind is being hunted as we speak, and while we are setting up our own hunting party to counterattack this, that does not take away the risk for us. “

There is no sign of nervousness as she speaks, even though she would very much like to fidget. Instead, she tilts her head in consideration.

“And truly, Èdelie, we are at the precipice of war with multiple parties, I would dare to say that we are not doing enough, rather than we are doing too much,” the words are grim, but she cannot deny the truth to the young fey,  not when she is struggling to make a vital choice. “So to answer your question, the answer is yes. It is worth it.”

There was a part of him that was so confused by the situation he found himself in. This place was nice on standards he could never even understand. Vinny was sure the best place he had ever rested his head in was a hotel when he first got to Rome. Now here was Robin offering him a place to stay. She had mentioned it being a place she could go to, a safe space. It kind of made him feel like he was intruding on something. When he had woken up, her presence was very much known in the place. He had come to expect it. What he hadn’t expected was to be asked for his opinion on a makeup palette. All he had ever put on was eyeliner so he couldn’t even begin to figure out why she would want his opinion.

Nevertheless, he walked further into the room, his hands in his pockets as he sat down in the nearest seat. One left their spot and picked up the palette she was using. Definitely brighter than the usual black he felt like they both seemed to wear all the time. “Are you not sure about it? I think it looks good,” he stated as he leaned in closer to get a better look.

Vincenzodives:

“The colors are pleasant enough, and reminiscent of the very fall I represent, but it is rather different to my usual so confirmation is always pleasant,” she confirms as she sets the brush aside and takes a moment more to ensure she had not smudged anything. As she does, an idea sparks and her lips tilt in the slightest hints of mischief. Quick hands reach for the orange lipstick and she applies it deftly, and with the explicit goal of getting it smudged before it’s final application. Once done, she sets the lipstick back in place and turns to face Vinny, brown eyes considering as she approaches until his knees are brushing her bare legs and leans forward, a hand falling on his shoulder to remain somewhat balanced.

Once their faces are mere inches apart, she flutters her eyelids and smiles like a predator about to pounce.

“I do appreciate the palette, but I want to make sure, do you believe it looks good on me, dearest?” She croons in question, as she leans even closer, close enough for their noses to brush, so that all he can see is her.

“I’ll be good I promise,” Lain responded obediently, cock practically throbbing at even the tiniest praise sung in her velvety smooth voice. It felt like his brain was short-circuiting when her fingers wrapped around his neck, breath stilling in his lungs as he anticipated Robin’s grip to tighten.  But her touch remains consistent, leaving him wanting much more. “Who says the forest needs to be deserted? I don’t give a fuck who watches,” He boasted, although he would probably change his mind if he knew any members of the pack were observing the act. Who he decided to sleep with was never any of their business. He fully pressed his body up against her’s, giving her hip a squeeze as he hooked her leg around his waist so she could really feel the effect she was having on him.  Lain grinded up against her, pants clinging to his hardness, he let out a shaky breath as his gaze met her’s.  Oh, the things he planned to do to her once they got out of here.

image

...

Lainxsolus:

“That is what I like to hear, good boy,” Robin says, a bright grin on her lips as a sense of thrill fills her at the easy response. She wants to push and see how much he is affected by praise, wants to see what he will do if she squeezes down on his throat like he seems to want. She is delighted by the prospect of learning how to pull all sort of noises from this puppy of hers. “Oh, but I am selfish, sweetheart. I want to be the only one to see your face as you come undone,” she coos playfully as she puts just the slightest amount of pressure against his throat as she speaks to prove a point. Her grin widens at the bulge on his pants and she rolls her hips up on unison to his grinding. Eyes meeting Lain, she leans forward to pull him into a quick passionate kiss, before she pulls back and pushes him away enough to step away from the tree. Fingers intertwining with his, she pulls at his arm and drags him out of the park and towards the forest, a soft hum leaving her lips as she hides them from the world and any interruptions. The next few minutes pass away in a flash and she soon finds herself pushing Lain against a tree in a small clearing within New Rome’s boundaries and grabs his shirt, pulling him down into a searing kiss.

Who? @vincenzodives

Preparing for events the mortal way is not an usual occurrence, but Robin desperately needed a quiet moment amidst the search of the missing artifacts, a break and — Perhaps she had wanted to check on Vinny, amidst all her duties. Her work as a Chancellor had lamentably made it difficult to drop by as much as she had wanted, but no one could deny her time to prepare for a royal wedding. She is applying a soft layer of eyeshadow when the door to her room opens and she senses Vinny’s presence enter the room.

“Oh, perfect! Do sit down, Vinny,” she urges as she finishes a swipe of her brush while looking at the mirror. “I need your opinion on the palette I am using, as it is rather more colorful than my usual.”
