i was amazed that this japanese twitter user has figured out 2005 beak repair! (link to OP & original post) they explained in another comment that they use silicone rubber used for sealing/repairing bathroom tiles for the beak! this is all just google translate, but i feel this is REALLY valuable bc ive never seen such a simple but effective way to repair these beaks. details below:

furby biology information that im throwing together in a half asleep rambling lmao the original era - 1998, 1999 baby and shelby, these ones take the journey from furbyland to the surface. and return to furbyland as fully mature adults, for the next generation. they typically eat nuts and other hard foods that require a study beak! Emototronic era - 2005, baby. and funky furby, they too take the journey from furbyland. but they live deeper in the island. and evolve to live in tree hollows + forested areas. they overlap with the original era furby in habitat, but NOT the shelby - their diet typically tends to be soft fruits! and use their legs to climb trees and swing from vines the 2012, boom era - do not come from furbyland. nor do they return. they are suited for a diet of whatever they can get, they cant be picky when many of them are born as strays in the city and have a whole slew of competitors. , and elders of this generation tend to be mainly strays that got abandoned by their human companion and would then form clans in hidden aways corners of cities and towns they got abandoned in, this was the first generation of discovered furby eggs afterall, they began laying them on the surface and are disconnected from their homeland, but still remember the furbish language the connects are similar to the 2012 and booms.
the furby 2023 are domestic. and have health issues, mainly their beaks. young furbys go to their homes not knowing much. they dont even recognise a furblet as a baby furby, nobody taught them that. because they get seperated from their parents at a young age, they know furbish. but they're so disconnected from the rest of the furbys bc of it.

What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless
FOOD
Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.
some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit
SHELTER
Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it
Some churches offer short term residence
Find your nearest homeless shelter
Look for places that are open to the public
A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry
HYGIENE
A membership to the YMCA is usually only 10$, which has a shower, and sometimes laundry machines and lockers.
Public libraries have bathrooms you can use
Dollar stores carry low-end soaps and deodorant etc.
Wet wipes are all purpose and a life saver
Local beaches, go for a quick swim
Some truck stops have showers you can pay for
Staying clean is the best way to prevent disease, and potentially get a job to get back on your feet

I’ll use this picture of Gooseberry for reference:
Gooseberry has this weird curve to her left ear, and the furby in the video seems to have a very similar shape to it.
This one’s probably a less definitive piece of evidence, but both Gooseberry and the furby in the video have the same “yellow and teal” eye color.
It also seems like the uploaded collected 05’s? It makes me curious why they would’ve sold one if that Furby is actually Gooseberry.
I just thought this was a pretty neat bit of info, and I felt like sharing it.
(Also my Furby hyperfixation is back and I will hopefully be posting more about the new 05’ I impulsively bought today)
Loud Lime tutorial
so everyone really likes Loud Lime, my Furby I made in response to the huge influx of people enjoying the Juicy Grape and Tart Tangerine models. Here is how I did it.
Need:
water
acrylic paint
a cup or something to put paint in
another cup for more paint
a clean toothbrush
lots of paper towels
a hair drier (this is recommended but not that important, it just dries the paint faster)
a clean, flat workstation like a table
most importantly, a Furby!
so how I did mine was I took this:
a standard Tuxedo Furby
make a dime sized spot of paint in your paint cup
pour two tablespoons of water into the paint cup
stir it with something until it looks like you’ve got a whole cup of the color paint you poured in
ok and then dip the paintbrush in the mixture
*make sure to wiggle the extra paint off, drip drop it back into the cup*
>>>> brush brush brush! where you want the color to be, scrub scrub scrub at the area until Furby has a completely new fur color and no white fur is left
after the scrubbing, review your work; is there….
spots that aren’t colored in?
globs of paint in one area of fur?
paint where where shouldn’t be?
that’s okay because the next step involves gently patting your Furby’s fur with paper towels
get the extra paint off, so it isn’t all wet, should just be a lighter version of the full color you want
hair drier it for 5 minutes while brushing it with a comb/cat brush/brush
OR: wait for like 10-15 minutes. occasionally check to see if the fur is still soft and the texture feels good. brush your furbs fur!
step #3: once your Furby is dry, repeat everything i just told you to do.
>for the ears, just brush a thin layer of paint over the pink, it’s the easiest part
step #4: the faceplate
i used q-tips, those cotton swab on a stick things & dipped them in just regular paint to paint on the faceplate and eyelids. it wasn’t easy.
