I think the reason why I dislike Guillivraine so much is because of the fact that, imo, the majority of the shippers don't really take the ship seriously themselves. Jokes about ships are fine and cool, but that's literally all I see about the ship. Not two people carrying the burden of trying to save their respective races from certain doom and feeling understood by the other. Not two people haunted and traumatized by their respective pasts. Not all the nuances and difficulties that would happen in the case of Human x Eldar relationship: diplomatic, platonic and especially romantic.

But nope. Its quite literally just a xenophilia joke to even the shippers themselves. I don't mind xenophilia jokes about human x alien relationships in 40k, but not when it's... just everything there is to the pair.

DEI is about hiring people who are probably qualified, but aren't on paper due to missed opportunities.

It's not about hiring people who are very obviously unqualified, but get a pass due to friends in high places. Trump is doing the exact opposite of DEI: HUE (Homogeneity, Unfairness, Exclusivity) hiring.

White MAGA is massively unqualified.

It's been wild seeing all the people immediately jump to calling this transphobia. I am literally asking for people to respect other peoples' gender identities.

I even very specifically did not say "trans people" in my original post, because the problem is not and never was trans people. (In fact, I'd say a GNC safe space needs to let trans people in for the same reason any queer safe space, including GNC ones needs to be able to let cishet people in--if it's not a safe space to people who are questioning, it's not a safe space)

I wouldn't even go as far as attributing this behavior to trans people. When it comes down to it, the people themselves are not the problem, it's their behavior.

The problem isn't trans people, it's people--of any identity--who think that, for some reason, the phrase "you should respect other people's identities" does not apply to them.

Call it queer infighting, but I feel like a safe space for GNC people should not have people who insist that being GNC is a pipeline to being trans.

That model is still less gay than the original Dark Angels.
