The US certainly did play a huge role in beating the Nazis, too. The Leand-Lease act sent billions of dollars worth of supplies across the Atlantic, which was a major factor in the allied victory. Roughly 30% of the trucks, bombers, and fighters used by the Soviet Union by the end of the war were US-supplied, not to mention the immense amount of food shipped over.
We did beat them, not with guns but with farms and factories (and then we helped with the guns part at the end).
So much of the discourse surrounding anything Slaanesh-related is so obnoxiously full of homophobic undertones.
Frankly, I hate how Slaanesh is so often reduced down to just "haha sex addiction haha". There is so much more to the God of Excess than that.
i just want the EC to be respected. okay. as they are. not just the pre heresy version of them. not some macho masculine version of them. as they are. with all their problems and beauty and messy infighting and substances and queercoding and everything. can we just be respected. please

It's okay, the glue trap will turn into him soon enough.
new models have been announced so naturally here is lucius the eternal dying in a gluetrap
The Emerald Wings have three distinctive patterns of jump packs, all of which are unique to the chapter, and have become all but synonymous with their methods of war.
The Hayabusa-pattern is the primary pattern of jump pack used by the chapter. It is similar in capabilities to the common Mars-pattern jump pack, with slightly different internal components--parts are not interchangeable between the two.
The Shokaku-pattern, also known as the Shokaku-pattern heavy lift jump pack is a larger jump pack with significantly more thrust than the Hayabusa-pattern, at the cost of pretty much everything else. The Shokaku-pattern jump packs have less endurance, are less maneuverable, are more difficult to produce, and are more difficult to maintain. It does have compatible parts with the Hayabusa-pattern, however. The Shokaku-pattern jump packs are used by many of the chapter's devastator squads.
The Ryujo-pattern jump packs are highly advanced, and are incredibly expensive and difficult to produce. It is used only by the chapter command and the sanguinary guard. The Ryujo-pattern is faster and more maneuverable than the Hayabusa- and Mars-patterns, with the chapter's elites being trained to wield these jump packs like an extension of their own bodies.
Starting a lore dump on my homebrew chapter (Yes, the blog is named after them)
Founded in the Eighth Founding, the Emerald Wings were one of a few chapters created at the time to carry on the legacy of Sanguinius.
Since their founding, they have earned a reputation for a mastery of aerial warfare, making heavy use of aircraft, skimmers, and jump packs. Aircraft and jump packs in particular are central to the Emerald Wings' doctrines, to the point where they are the biggest points of divergence between the chapter and the Codex Astartes.
Note: if there is anything here that is mistranslated, please let me know.
I read some of the first Horus Heresy books out of order, making it incredibly painful to see the Mournival's interactions, already having read how they would be torn apart.
四狗议会!袭来!
I barely write, but when I do AI is nowhere to be found.
a writing competition i was going to participate in again this year has announced that they now allow AI generated content to be submitted
their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"
"Every writer"?
come on
Oh definitely. He worked 12-hour shifts in a factory growing up. He's made sure his personal spaces are places where he can just flop down anywhere. You could be in fully sealed power armor, but the minute you sit down on one of those sofas, you're going to be fast asleep and get the best rest you've gotten in years.
I headcannon Fulgrim to have an insanely comfortable room, with plush sofas and all that. Like if you make the mistake of sitting down in his quarters for even a few seconds you WILL fall asleep, that happened to several of his brothers repeatedly, they sat down on a sofa and emerged eight hours later like a cat from a weighted blanket.
ferrus especially hates it when that happens.
Killing Ferrus literally drives him to suicide and is the tipping point that makes him fall.
Whenever he's sober, he is haunted by shame for what he did.
i am punished by love
Yeah, my boys in purple had issues long before Slaanesh was in the equation. Slaanesh was just an enabler who was more open about enabling their obsessions.
I find it really funny when ppl are like “ohh nooo slaanesh corrupted the emperors children and Fulgrim and now they’re on drugs”
Like the emperors children pre heresy weren’t obsessed with high performance and being the best to an unhealthy degree and also happened to have an unethical apothecary who is the craziest person in the galaxy…
I’m sure noooooooobody over there was ever tweaking out of their fucking mind beating their chest in the mirror repeating “I am greatest i am the king of the world” while practicing sword skills to perfection for 72 hours straight without sleep
There totally wasn’t “the wolf of Wall Street in space” going on over there
let’s be so for real considering the circumstances
There totally isn’t a history of militaries obsessed with perfection, aesthetics and high achievement using copious amounts of uppers and stimulants during battle and being basically coked out of their minds…. The very thing warhammer is meat to satirize
Sure yeeeeah, it was aaaaalll Slaanesh….
Juuuuust a thought 🫣
All I’m saying is all slaanesh did was spice things up
I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say
Femboys, Warhammer 40,000, Battleships, and whatever else crosses my mind
