Fulgrim's fall wasn't from the Imperium to Chaos.
It was from "It is your duty to raise them up, as high as they will go. Anything less is not worthy of you" to "What we have won is already being given away to imperfect mortals who will waste the glories we won for them".
People write million word books on there, and people write 100 word shitposts (I think the proper word is "drabbles" but I've got no idea). I personally find its tagging system very useful, since it's got the ability to filter tags both in and out, though I'm not sure how much of that is my own technological ineptness.
Last bit on nonsense for now. No more noise until next weekend.
AO3.
Yes or no?
I don't have an account. I find the idea of it intimidating.
People write book length pieces of fiction. Multiple chapters. Ships. I don't even ship canon love interests, never mind fictional ones.
I'm just a needy little Internet goblin who lives in a hole called Tumblr. Occasionally, I shout into the void.
But what if that one silly story gets a little attention? What if it flies?
I'm going to bed. Something for next weekend.
I mean, the really big war mechs have come in pretty handy, so...
i read on the wiki that the tau ethereals oversee the earth caste so that they actually invent useful stuff and this was the first thing that came to mind
Slaanesh is the god of obsession and excess, first and foremost.
What is a Space Marine most likely going to become obsessed with? Battle.
A whole chunk of the legion probably went the same route as Eidolon, doing whatever off-the-rails experiments on augmenting themselves to become better marksmen or swordsmen or whatever else (side note: sniper marines aren't done enough as a concept). They didn't do this because they were worse than the average marine from other legions, they did this because they wanted to be better than everyone around them.
Also, in Fulgrim, we see how Space Marines react to arousal in the Maraviglia. What do they do? They start killing the people around them.
The Flanderization of Slaanesh is one of the worst things to happen to the Emperor's Children's characterization. Slaanesh is not the god of sex.
everyone thinks EC are pushover stupid self absorbed weaklings and I think if that’s how you conceptualize us hust because we like partying and body modification and music and drugs. if you think we aren’t still the poets and artists and musicians and composers and so much more under all that. Fuck you. Genuinely fuck you. I hate you. We’re not stupid we’re not stupid perverts can you please take us fucking seriously
This, more than anything else, is why I relate to the Emperor's Children.
Also, there's nothing wrong with projecting in your interpretations of a character. There's a lot of gaps in even the most thoroughly-written characters, and alternate character interpretations are what makes literary analysis worth doing. With all the parts of ourselves we already see written into characters we love, it's only natural that we fill in the gaps with other parts of ourselves.
I'll admit I disagree with a lot of how you interpret Fulgrim, but most of where my own interpretation differs from yours is from how I am projecting on him.
????????? Dude I’m not trying to “own” you or whatever the fuck your Twitter brain thinks I’m trying to do. You clearly love Fulgrim as a character, but you also have a weird sense of projection on him. If you only love Slaanesh Fulgrim, you might not love *Fulgrim,* just the drugs he’s on.
Okay. Okay. Let me put it this way.
I love Fulgrim. At all points. But i am tired. Tireddddd. Of people acting like staying with the imperium would have been ‘better’ for him. It would have been bad. There was already toxic perfectionism happening in his brain under the imperium.
I can also post more about pre heresy Fulgrim, but there’s just… less material to work with there, since his fall starts pretty early on in the heresy
Felt cute, might delete an army later.
Female Custodes by Elzunix
Actually, even more wild is the number of TERFs looking at this post and thinking "This post agrees with me". I am literally asking for a space where people respect other peoples' gender identities. A person who defines their political stance on how they don't respect certain people's genders is not welcome in such a place.
Call it queer infighting, but I feel like a safe space for GNC people should not have people who insist that being GNC is a pipeline to being trans.
working on modelling a battle barge for my homebrew Space Marine chapter, the Emerald Wings.
(Yes, this blog is named after them)
Thinking about it, their argument and attitude are even more comparable to anti-woke grifters than I originally thought. They're both based in a premise that canon doesn't change, and they're both insisting that their interpretation of the lore which ignores what canon has explicitly stated is canon-compliant because of it.
I've got no problem with people ignoring lore that they think is dumb. I did that with female Custodes before they got added in. I do have a problem with people doing it and claiming that it's a valid interpretation of the lore.
The funny thing is they've basically got the opposite stance on FSM. One says they can't exist ever, because lore, one says they do exist and always have, because lore.
Yaoi? In my gayest sci-fi setting ever?
It's more likely than you think.
In the grim darkness of the future… there is only yaoi
Femboys, Warhammer 40,000, Battleships, and whatever else crosses my mind
