one thing that bothers me about daredevil is how insistent the narrative is that dd is so similar to the bad guys he’s trying to stop. everyone is always saying how he just does this as an excuse to beat people up but i’ve never seen it that way?
imo there’s a pretty big difference between what he does and the people who are actively participating in human trafficking and murder and all that.
i get that he is angry and it is cathartic for him to be daredevil, but he literally has been hearing all the crime and violence happening around him for years, i’d be angry too.
this isn’t quite as well articulated as i’d like, and maybe i’ll revisit it when i’m more awake, but i want to know if i’m missing something?
this episode had everything I love. matt being competent. using people's perceptions of him to his advantage. being a little shit. thigh murder incapacitation. secret skills. accent shenanigans. gratuitous cameos. no wilson fisk.
in honor of daredevil born again coming out i give you shitpost edits: matt murdock's two messy murder exes edition
(matt murdock human disaster edition)
frank castle having a civilized interview with a therapist is objectively the funniest thing i can imagine.
Happy Easter from God’s favorite morally-ambiguous lawyer.
i actually have very high hopes for season 2 of born again! i think the last two episodes of s1 were really good and set us up for a good, well made story.
I wish all of season 1 was stronger story wise, but i have full faith that season 2 will be excellent.
oh my goodness a hozier fan and a daredevil fan!!
