This is from the forecast discussion of Major Hurricane Florence from this afternoon. As a meteorologist, when I saw this, my heart sank. They don’t use wording like this for every storm.

Florence is going to be a devastating. There will be huge amounts of flooding, both from inland rain and from costal storm surge. Winds are going to be some of the strongest you can get from a hurricane. People within the path of this storm could lose everything.

If you know anyone who lives on the North or South Carolina coast, tell them that if there’s an evacuation ordered, they need to get the hell out. Do not take chances with this one.

Hi, I’m Danneil John Flores (22 years Old) and I’m asking some donations for my sister’s condition since me and my parents are incapable of supporting her right now and most of my savings are all dried out now. Both of my parents does not have a stable Job, my father is just a pedicab driver and my mother is a housewife. I had a job way back a year ago. I can’t find a job in here since I’m the only one who can do the labors of getting her oxygen refilled daily and also in case of some emergencies, luckily right now (Sept 2019) I was selected to join a free course study of Tesda which can help me get a job! Thank God! Me and my family are also trying to start a small business so that we can also sustain on our own.

Most of the Donations from February 2019 to this day have been all put in good use. We already have repaired her room and put an AC on it since the doctor advise us. Also aside from that the money goes to our family needs, her check ups and medicines.

Im so tired

So on sunday july the 7th i had a car crash that totaled my car and left me with a bunch of minor injuries i managed to get all the payment atuff with the old car situated but i need 1,000$ as a deposit for the new car.

as seen below this was my old car that is now completely undrivable:

the jeep dealership was willing to cut a deal with me and i am able to get a similar car but i only have ONE WEEK to as much of this together as i can right now the car ive been using is a rental costing me 30$ a day and has horrible gas milage please help if you can! if all my followers sent 5$ id be more than able to cover this

my sister needs help.

URGENT

hey everyone. i’m posting this on behalf of my sister, shannon. she’s in a tight spot and could really use some help.

the situation is explained in more detail on her gofundme, but here’s the short version: in late spring this year, one day after shannon’s graduation, she was s-xua-ly assaulted on campus by a former partner, and it threw a wrecking ball into her life. (pardon the censorship, i don’t want tumblr to bury this post for being “inappropriate.”)

this was someone who had been harassing, emotionally abusing and making unwanted advances on her for months, even after she had broken up with him. she has been struggling with ptsd as a result, and has come to feel too unsafe to stay in the area. this means she has lost her campus job, will no longer have a place in town to live, and doesn’t have the income she needed to pay the university, her rent, her student loans, or her bills.

the good news is that one of our aunts out in california has offered her a place to stay. it’s not a perfectly ideal arrangement, but it will get her away from her abuser and keep a roof over her head. however, she still needs as much help as she can get. she has no job prospects lined up to cover her expenses, has very little savings, and is still working to recover from the trauma she experienced.

any assistance is appreciated, no matter how small, whether that comes as a donation or a signal boost!
