Volume 4 Chapter 2: A summary

Interesting. I've literally only used search for the past three years; may have to check out tags once I access a pc.

As you may have heard tumblr recently ‘killed the links’, making it so that any post that has any link on it (even if it links to tumblr posts or tags) will not show up in the /search/ function.

Well, I’ve got some GOOD NEWS for you. The /tagged/ function still works just fine. The bad news is the tumblr mobile app ONLY uses the /search/ function. The GOOD NEWS is the /tagged/ function has always displayed 33% more content than the /search/ function. Yup, you heard that right. If you were only using the mobile app, you were already missing out on TONS of content.

TAGGED VS SEARCH

/tagged/ function = tumblr.com/tagged/tag name

This is what most people refer to by ‘looking in the tag’. It only populates posts that have the tag name within the first 5 tags. If you’re posting alot, it will oftentimes only show your last 3 posts in a given tag to prevent you from spamming it. It’s very accurate.

/search/ function = tumblr.com/search/word

This searches all words in a given post, including the first 20 tags and the entire text of the post itself. The mobile app only uses the /search/ function and is missing 33% of what is available in the /tagged/ function. So if you only use the mobile app, you are literally missing 1/3 of what the fandom is posting. This is why I only use the more accurate /tagged/ function. Unfortunately, this is also referred to as ‘looking in the tag’ when it is not actually looking in the tag but ‘looking in the word search’.

I’ve actually avoided the /search/ function for years because of these problems. I only use the /tagged/ function but it is a bit harder to use on a mobile browser which is why I only look in the tags using my desktop computer. At least now you can still FIND all the content you might have missed.

Hi, I’m Danneil John Flores (22 years Old) and I’m asking some donations for my sister’s condition since me and my parents are incapable of supporting her right now and most of my savings are all dried out now. Both of my parents does not have a stable Job, my father is just a pedicab driver and my mother is a housewife. I had a job way back a year ago. I can’t find a job in here since I’m the only one who can do the labors of getting her oxygen refilled daily and also in case of some emergencies, luckily right now (Sept 2019) I was selected to join a free course study of Tesda which can help me get a job! Thank God! Me and my family are also trying to start a small business so that we can also sustain on our own.

Most of the Donations from February 2019 to this day have been all put in good use. We already have repaired her room and put an AC on it since the doctor advise us. Also aside from that the money goes to our family needs, her check ups and medicines.

Help Me Get A Lifesaving Medication

For awhile now, they have been noticing that my multiple sclerosis has been progressing a lot quicker than usual. I was just diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s disease today, alongside multiple sclerosis. My body will continue to break down over time.

My number one dream is to be able to lead as ‘normal’ of a life as possible. My medication that I need for it called Levodopa isn’t covered by my Ontario drug plan currently. It’s about $725 for a months supply. My doctor has submitted the forms for special consideration to have it covered, but it may take 3 to 4 weeks to get a response.

I know this isn’t my first donation post, I’ve had quite a few but I’m really struggling. Please help me get my life saving medication if possible.

I know that a lot of desperate and in need people post things like this on here all the time, but at this time in my life it seems that I’m left with little to no other options.

This post was made by my mother and so is very long and complicated, as she tends to be (something I say lovingly), so I will try to simplify the situation here as well as tell a bit about myself and how this situation drastically effects me.

The long and short of it is that my mother was supposed to get some thousands of dollars in student loans that she did not get because of a misunderstanding when filling out the forms for her student loans.

Because of this we have had to move into a mobile home almost 30 mins from where I work, which is particularly bad because our car broke down soon after our move, meaning it is almost impossible for me to get to my two jobs without outsider help, which can only last so long and go so far.

Not only has this put our shelter, housing, and overall well being in danger, but it has also put all of our goals and dreams on hold.

I personally am a pre-everything gay trans man, and I obviously cannot pay for any kind of treatment if I can’t get to my jobs, and I doubt I will be able to start college any time in the near future if we can’t even pay the rent for our mobile home.
