Damn
If you’re not ready to fight an alligator over your best friend dont even think about coming to Florida
Cooooool
if you slow down False God to 0.5x at 0:07 and 0:13 and 0:19 (and throughout the song) you can hear “karlie” very clearly
When Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all three charges surrounding his murder of George Floyd, the conversation found on Tumblr (and elsewhere online) reflected two major points:
This is not justice being served. There is no justice in the face of murder, and if there were, it certainly would not be found within the American carceral system. The verdict stemming from this trial will not stop the violence and oppression Black people face at the hands of an over-policed country.
“Black people don’t need reminders that Chauvin’s guilty verdict doesn’t mean the fight is over. It’s okay to celebrate small victories.”
These truths are not at odds with each other. They can, and will, co-exist.
Take a moment today to celebrate George Floyd and his beautiful family. Keep his little daughter in your mind and hearts. If you want to feel a bit of relief that at least one person was found guilty for their hateful, heinous crime—please do so. And then remember that it was just one person. Remember that if you are an ally and an accomplice, you must not stop learning. You must not stop fighting for real justice.
Accountability for police killings is rare:
Since 2005, 140 law enforcement officers have been arrested for on-duty manslaughter and murder. Only 8—5%—have been convicted.
And that doesn’t account for the 98% of police killings where there were no arrests for murder or manslaughter.
Black people are three times more likely to be killed by police
And then yesterday, roughly one hour after Nancy Pelosi thanked George Floyd for “sacrificing” his “life for justice,” police in Columbus, Ohio shot and killed 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant.
That is not what justice looks like.
Rest in power, George Floyd.
Rest in power, Ma’Khia Bryant.
Midnight album cover is her sparking a lighter - getting ready to burn it down…she gave us a heads up for what’s to come.
The breakup was obvious from the album and timing, Joe the Beard did his work and can be let go now as she moves into the next phase.
I see this PR strategy with Matty as the next step in this era. It almost feels to me like when Miley went wild to shatter her association with Hannah Montana.
Is Taylor stepping out with Matty akin to this…a clear message to the fans that she’s not concerned about their opinions as she once was, by “dating” someone as controversial as Matty?? Is Taylor stunting with Matty the equivalent of Miley’s beige clad ass disaster of a twerk??
After all - Midnight is the technical end of the day, or - the end of the era. Al the clock imagery…time’s up on the former TS brand???
I say, this is just the beginning.
I’m somewhat surprised Matty’s involved, but leads me to believe they are scheming something BIG.
They’ve been baiting us. There are parallels in their work for years (Paris and Paris, Happiness and Happiness). Recently, Being Funny in a Foreign Language and Midnight came out SAME month. Both have seventies motifs - I noticed the similarities instantly. And then of course, the 02 performance in London.
What’s going on here?? Secret best friends with vigilante plans?? Or, are they truly in love? I’ve wondered for years if they’ve secretly been together, that the bearding was for them and not actually Karlie.
What are the two genius pop stars up to?
Let’s wait and watch and look for the clues. My Tatty instincts say things are about to get fun.
And my guess - this stunt lasts a few months at best. Taylor is knowingly tarnishing her reputation by letting herself be seen with Matty. Let the public slander her for that, and when there’s a messy breakup around the end of summer…
Maybe she’s setting the stage for an undoing of the brand she’s built in the last 20 years 🤔🤔
Who really knows, probably not even our girl. 🤡
I do hope Tay’s team is looking after Joe rn
Never a dull moment and I’m here for it 🤗❤️
I close my eyes and the flashback starts, I’m standing there, on a balcony in summer air…

Taylor: my love is a hoax, my love is a mythical thing, my love is a bait and switch, my love is a con. My love is an illicit affair, my love is a secret I'm hoping dreaming dying to keep. My love is a sin and people would burn me like a witch if they found out. I treat men like playthings and fool them and I'm not sorry about it. Sometimes I still think about the girls I was special best friends with in childhood, and at high school, and how perfect and beautiful they were. Don't read into it.
😹😹😹😹
normalize my 12th grade English teacher, who admitted that his favorite TV show was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and when a male student suggested that it was because Buffy/Sarah Michelle Gellar was hot, wrinkled his face like he’d bitten into something rotten and dead, and said, “At my age (he was 53), there is nothing less sexy than a teenager. You’re all disgusting messes.” It was 1999, I was 17, and I’d grown up in conservative Christian schools and churches. In my life I’d heard heard dozens of sermons from male preachers and teachers and even some older students, whining about how hard it was to be a dude and not commit the sin of thinking sexual thoughts, and how they needed women to wear long skirts and cover their bodies to not objectify them
and my bitter, misanthropic, atheist Brit Lit teacher, who hated my class because he was obsessed with teaching Tom Sawyer but got stuck with Shakespeare and Jane Austen, was the first, and this day the last man I have ever heard articulate a rebuttal from the depths of his soul to the idea that it was normal for teenage girls to be desirable to middle aged men
Ready for combat 💕🌈💕
WHAT WAS THE REASON
Taylor: Leave me the fuck alone so I can dance with this babe
Karlie: This is AWESOME...could potentially be a bad idea? Meh.
I don’t even believe Taylor and Toe met or crossed paths at the MET gala. Like where did this come from? Is this confirmed by anyone? We saw Taylor dancing with Tom and dancing all over Karlie. Taylor was co-chair or whatever it’s called that year. I just highly doubt that they met that night.
Honestly I’m so far removed from their non-history that I don’t recall if it’s confirmed. People say they might have met then but clearly she was occupied with Karlie and happened to find a new 3 month beard 😅

Nope. No. You’re wrong. Color photos have been around since the late 1800s there are a bunch of full color photos of MLK. The us govt and educational system just doesn’t show us because they want us to push back the civil rights movement and distance institutionalized racism from today’s society.
Here are just a few of many photos of MLK in FULL color. This wasn’t that long ago. This is RECENT history. Segregation, the terrorizing of black communities, the brutality isn’t old - it is still present.
When my dad was a little boy, my grandfather was one of the ministers who marched with MLK on Washington. He grew up hearing stories about the great Dr. king and the differences he made BUT he still saw the blatant discrimination against black folks and other people of color (hell he experienced it himself). My dad was a kid watching MLK. My DAD. My grandfather who only passed away about six years ago MARCHED with him. This isn’t twelve generations ago. THIS IS RECENT HISTORY.
The large number of songs Taylor Swift has made that are about forbidden love is very telling, if you ask me. Not to mention how she’s constantly referencing Christianity, and churches, and old-fashioned beliefs, and sin, and religion in general. Like, are y’all really not hearing her?
And there’s a huge amount of Taylor Swift songs where she uses the pronoun “you” for the muse, not describing them as a man nor a woman, whilst also mentioning one or more of her past love interests, describing them as “Kens” and “playthings for her to use”, talking about how she’s been toying them around and how they never satisfied her in the same way her current muse does… the boys and their expensive cars have never taken her quite where her current muse does. And isn’t it funny how the muse in question is almost never explicitly stated to be a man in songs like this?
I just find it strange how so many people seem to completely miss this. Taylor Swift haters often use the argument “All her songs are about her exes” when hating on her, but if you ask me, “All her songs are about forbidden love, religious guilt to some degree and how society will never accept her and her love” is much more accurate.
