everything aside tho, I can't get over the fact that this is the first time jean has been so vocally protective of neil in front of someone else. and the person he chose was andrew, the person who mirrors jean's misplaced connection to neil, the foxes' number 3, the partner neil chose for himself when he escaped the life where jean would have been chosen for him.

i'm rereading tfc right and i'm at the part where neil leaves his duffel bag in the dorm and i'm just confused why he didn't take out all the clothes and then take the bag with the binder to the store?? i know he said that he wouldn't be able to handle taking everything so why didn't he just leave the other stuff?? and be like yeah i needed something to carry my new stuff with.

This is what the original wip looked like (I didn’t save the last page before deleting it cuz I’m clearly missing half my brain)

I don’t plan on really furthering the wip unless it’s to do like art and/or color. But afterward, Neil says he does not believe Andrew isn’t here to kill him and Andrew reminds Neil that he’s ‘an angel so he can’t do wrong’ and Neil decides to trust him. It begins to rain but Andrew shields himself and Neil lets himself bask in the first thunderstorm of the earth.
