(This may have spoiler for those who haven't seen season 2!!) - The parents of each Sensate have all seen at least one foreign language being sung from their child's mouth. When pressed the children didn't know that they had been singing a Icelandic lullaby or a religious chant in Hindi. They were just singing what was in their head. Once when Nomi was in a row with her parents, she yelled at them in Swahili for about ten minutes. She was locked in her room for being a 'devil child' not long after. - Every Sensate aside from Sun was proficient with chopsticks as soon as they touched them. Didn't even have to be shown how to use them, they just did with the ease of someone being raised on using them. - Wolfgang once got dared to jump onstage at a club by Felix and mess around with the set up there. He proceeded to drop the sickest beats for several minutes before he was escorted off stage. He was offered a job there not long after but he declined as he didn't know where to begin with DJ-ing. - Lito was only in a fight once when he was younger, and he managed to break the kids' arm with a ridiculous form of martial arts. The view of this super tough and manly boy persisted through the years, and is one of the reasons he was picked up for his first movie as an action role. Lito has no idea what happened between the first punch and the kid crying at his feet, but he felt p o w e r f u l. - Riley has broken out of handcuffs no more than five times despite never learning how to do so. She's impressed a lot of people with that trick. - The first time Capheus ever went on a computer, he shut down a large portion of the power grid with his 'messing around'. He still has no memory of being taught what internet explorer even was, but sometimes he dreams of long codes and in his sleep his fingers twitch against invisible keys. - Though she has no idea how, Sun managed to pass her final chemistry test in high school with flying colours to secure her the grades needed for university/college. Her professor couldn't explain how she'd done it as they'd already checked her for cheating, but Sun couldn't even explain what possessed her to write several pages on parts of chemistry even her fellow students hadn't known. - Will became best friends with Diego after he proceeded to do some dope and fancy bar tending skills at a party they were both invited to. Despite the fact Will couldn't hold the liquor he expertly poured and Diego was stuck holding him upright a few hours later, the latter knew that this boy was going to be his best friend, even if it only was for his fancy cocktails. (Will claimed he has no idea how to make any of those fancy drinks, and Diego always thought he was holding out on him until he met Lito and kind of went "ahhhh...you're the fancy bar dude.") - Kala won't tell anyone how she managed to get an important business partner for her work from Korea, but even she's not entirely sure how she apparently managed to seduce the young man with her dry humour and quick Korean. To this day Kala still doesn't know what she did, but now most people at work go to her for business advice as she apparently has the know how?? - The sensates sometimes had moments when they were younger of almost dysphoria. There were days when Nomi almost felt okay in her body prior to the surgery. She can almost feel phantom full hips and budding breasts, and for once she didn't feel like she was wearing a false skin. She felt totally and completely female both outside and in, and not even her family could take that away on those days. In contrast there were days where the others didn't feel comfortable in their bodies. A crawling sensation on their skin as they were hyper aware of what made up their sex. Days where the boys found themselves almost looking longingly at skirts and flowing tops, and feeling uncomfortable with their scratchy stubble. On those days the other girls couldn't help but feel oddly grateful in their bodies, and more self-confident than usual. - Sexuality was another confusing aspect when the sensates grew up. There were days where Will found himself looking at men with a sexual desire he had only ever felt towards women. He was straight (was being the key word here) but sometimes he found himself being turned off by the thought of full thighs and long hair wrapped around his hands. Kala occasionally found herself gazing after the soft dark skin of girls walking by, immediately feeling ashamed after as that wasn't something a proper Indian woman should do according to her family. But the older she got the more she grew accepting of the idea of loving both sexes. And when she finally connected with the others, she could feel acceptance within them. Lito will always be a gay man. That's who he is and always will be, but the lines of sexes blurs whenever he is with the sensates, and it reminds him of the feelings of his childhood where sometimes he didn't even know who he was or what he liked. (I'm sorry this is so long!!)
Please don't. I don't need those mental images.

Hey so this might be the late night and caffeine talking but here goes the crazy conspiracy train. Buckle up y’all. So we know that prior to the rise of Molly, his bastard og form was making a deal with a “magic woman” that may or may not have had something to do with his death. Crazy thought, but what if the woman that Lucien was making a deal with is the same woman that resurrected Nott??? Like both of them were resurrected by a “mysterious magic woman” but with major complications? Or I guess Lucien losing his memory was a complication that may have been due to it being one of the first times this experiment was done. Later on, Nott’s transformation was maybe an experiment to see if memories could be retained even if the body was altered. And this could be a reach, but what if these experiments had ties to Lucien’s desire to gain immortality, and that could potentially be done by getting new bodies every time you die?? Or changing to a long-lived race?? Or a more powerful one? We know dunamancy had to do with entropy and time, this could be the Empire’s bastardisation of the Xhorhasian concept of “birth” that comes from the beacons, and a means of gaining soldiers that can perhaps never be killed??
TADASH- wait HIR- TA-…h…NO. Idea from this post/myself I saw on my dash. c:
Watching ‘Toilet-bound Hanako-kun’ Is hilarious because it’s set up so that the 2 school/ghost trios are thematically meant to maul each otherto death/be each other’s foils.
The only problem is that god has given (1) brain cell to each trio to share.
The Toilet Trio pass it amongst themselves like a hot potato. Kou sacrifices the brain cell the rare times he gets it just to help his friends through their emotional stupidity. Nene loses it every time a hot boi goes by. Hanako only gets more time with it because he has a goddamn job to do.
Meanwhile Sakura has never let go of the brain cell.
There is genuinely nothing funnier than Brennan trying to make an evil campaign, only for the whole plot be derailed by democratic revolution, the progression of eagle rights, mental health movements and the Power of Friendship (particularly between Maggie and Leiland, who would have hated each other in any other narrative). Escape from Bloodkeep was wholesome in a way Fantasy High never was, because the Villains were high-functioning adults who only wanted the best for their land, while the Bad Kids indiscriminately killed and stole from everyone (extra points for the fact they cut off hands and ate people, whereas the Villains only ever seemed to push people off tall heights). Poor Brennan. He never wins.
I'd like to imagine that one of the 1-A kids (probably Sero or Kaminari tbh) has a vine account that slowly got more noticed when they got into UA. This is mainly because people are interested to see what UA is really like, but also because class 1-A is the most eccentric and insane bunch of kids that have ever graced it's halls. After they get recognised with the Sports Fesival and the Kamino Ward fiasco however, the account is one of the most popular and quotable ones online. Some of the most popular vibes include: - A prank done after they moved into the dorms, where Jirou was enlisted to break into Iida's dorm room (because hey, Jirou may have always wanted to be a hero, but she's learnt some neat tricks over the years) so that all of Iida's things could be moved a few centimetres to the left, and his highly organised schooling system and bookcase rearranged. The rest of the vine is a compilation of Iida becoming exponentially more frustrated as he rams into things, and ends with him weeping exaggerated tears as he pulls out books to fix his system. - Just a minute compilation of all the times Bakugou took naps around the dorm, often in odd positions, with random objects stacked on his head. Giggling can be heard in the background in all parts, and the video ends when Bakugou wakes up to a hand trying to balance a full cup of water on his head - the video cuts off to screams and explosions. - There's a highly liked video of Mineta, stripped naked except a diaper with the words "Shitty Baby" scrawled in marker on his ass, crying while he's crucified with Sero's tape above the school entrance. - A short clip opens with a zoom in of Kaminari's derp face, right before it zooms out to show the class collected on the training grounds. Suddenly Uraraka slaps Kaminari on the arm while Ashido simultaneously yells "This bitch empty, YEET" before launching Kaminari across the school grounds as Iida screams in wordless outrage in the background. - A shaky and slow zoom in of Kirishima gradually nodding of in class. The zooming pauses for a moment with Kirishima's shoulders and head filling the screen, allowing everyone to see the drool pooling on his desk from his snoring mouth. Suddenly Aizawa's scarf wraps around his neck and slams his face into the desk to wake him up. - Opening with a close up of Todoroki's phone messages to Midoriya, with the last one at 1:03am simply saying: "I'm fine, just a little sad I guess." It suddenly cuts to the window to Todoroki's room, with only a second of silence before a glowing and pyjama-clad Midoriya slams into the glass via Full Cowl, his smooshed mouth barely allowing him to mumble "I'm here!" against the glass. - Another instance of Midoriya using Full Cowl, only this time it's a bewildered Ojiro saying to the camera "I just messaged the group chat to ask if anyone had milk. Then this kid," he steps out of the frame to zoom into Midoriya casually pouring milk into a bowl of cereal at Ojiro's desk while also giving a thumbs up, "fucking climbs through my window at 3 in the morning to give me it. Insane." - A short clip that's just cut-shots of Kirishima and Tetsutestu screaming "BRO" at each other while working out. - Clearly stealthy taken video of Yaomomo absently pulling paper chains in the shape of flowers from her wrist at lunch, before the camera zooms into the pile already growing on the floor. - Just like those college videos of kids sleeping at random places on campus around finals, only it's Aizawa in his sleeping bag as several kids whisper "what the fuck" as they do shit like open the supply closet to let his limp form suddenly fall out onto the floor, still asleep. - Compilation of Kaminari saying "it's lit" with sparks between his fingers, and usually groaning heard in the background. "What up, I'm jared. I'm 19. And I never fucking learnt how to read" is being muttered in decent English by Shouji as he zooms in on Sero standing up from his desk and stuttering in Present Mics class.
After finally watching Amphibia I have so many thoughts, not on how each girl embodies the characteristic of their respective gem (mind, heart, strength), but how each has another characteristic as their secondary strength, and the third as their greatest weakness.
As related to the image above, it's pretty well established that:
> Heart = Anne
> Mind = Marcy
> Strength = Sasha
But their characters aren't so one-dimensional that they simply fit those archetypes. After all, each character has been amazingly well fleshed out and have complex issues of morality and beliefs that they cannot be shoehorned. I know this will get long so I'll put it under the cut.
For example, Anne is known as the Heart by virtue of being able to empathise with almost anyone; her connections with others are shown to be her greatest strength throughout the show. However, it is easy to see that her greatest weakness is Mind. Not just from an intellectual point of view as the show already delved into in contrast to Marcy, but also her ability for manipulation and long-plan conception of consequences or even planning. Any of her 'calculating' attempts at manipulating her way out of situations only succeed in instances where she understands the other person, like with the Plantar family, but fall wayside with strangers because she has yet to understand their heart.
However, Anne's been shown to be incredibly athletic and stubborn to a fault, indicating that Strength is her secondary characteristic in relation to the Calamity Box.
By understanding this, we can see that Sasha's frankly overpowering physical strength and perseverance is supported by her calculating Mind. Without her raw social intellect, Sasha would never be able to subjugate others like she so successfully does within the show. Unfortunately, her inability to empathise and understand the emotional consequences of her actions have also been explored, indicating her failings at Heart.
Lastly, Marcy is incredibly intellectually intelligent and quick to understand and learn from her mistakes, making her the easiest to place as her characteristic, which is Mind. She is also shown to be kind and excited to make friends, as well as capable of understanding others and their motivations, even if she is prone to being a bit short-sighted when it comes to getting caught up in her interests, which makes Heart her secondary. While it can be argued she was physically weak back on Earth, her captaincy and expertise with rogue-like abilities show she is strong in a physical since coming to Amphibia. So why would her weakest aspect be Strength?
Well, Marcy's instance of running away from home and her problems to a fantasy world shows her inability to stand strong against personal conflicts which she has no control over. She is capable of admitting her mistakes, yes, but she struggles to confront her problems in the first place, instead choosing to run from her parents and even continuing to try to drag the girls further into other worlds to avoid her looming future.
It's just amazing how much thought has been put into balancing these girls' characteristics; not just against each other, but also within themselves. I hope in the future these weaknesses will be explored and overcome in various ways!
im at a hotel and the people in the room next to my room started having sex and i timed it and he only lasted for 54 seconds and i think they can hear me laughing now
They still look fucking gorgeous.
