You can always start again. Clean out your social media. Create a new account for your new taste in music. Study or work in a new city. Start socialising with new people. Choose a new signature scent and style and purge the outdated parts of yourself. If you don’t like where you’re at, but you don’t know what to do about it - try starting again.

Listen, I’m part of the generation that uses humor to cope, I love all the memes about 2020 just as much as you guys do. I laugh at the “we got the real roaring 20′s”, “we wanted 2020 to be a movie but we got the wrong genre”, “we really thought 2020 would be our year” sardonic tweets.

But to the people like me, who really thought 2020 would be their year?

Love, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry you walked into this year with a smile and hope, and that smile immediately fell, and that hope was immediately crushed

I’m sorry that every day there’s something else, I’m sorry that you’re scared, I’m sorry that you’re angry, I’m sorry that you’re tired.

To all the people like me, who thought 2020 was their year: We’re here. We’re alive. The world will grow. The world will heal. Maybe 2020 isn’t our year of stress free fun and memories, but it can be our year to learn and stand up and fight, so that next year? We get everything we hoped for.

Don’t give up, don’t leave. There’s a world waiting for you.

Don’t waste somebody’s time just because you don’t know what to do with yours.

if your toilet bowl is filling up with water and is about to overflow (or is already):

take the lid off the tank

hold up the floating device. it’s usually a rubber ball on the end of a stick.

if you’re not sure which part to lift, gently lift up various things until you find the one that stops the water.

you will not need get your hand wet bc the part you’re looking for is usually at the highest point!!

the toilet bowl should immediately stop filling!

PS: toilet tank water is the same water that comes from your sink faucets so please don’t panic if it gets on you
