The Minho brainrot has gotten to me!

Dad Lee Know who announced your pregnancy through bubble and took an hour and half a bag of kitty treats just to line Soonie, Doongie, and Dori up around your positive pregnancy test. The only caption was “I’ve been promoted from cat dad to real dad.”

Dad Lee Know who keeps the pregnancy tracker app on his phone because he wants you to have enough storage on your phone to take constant pictures of belly updates. He sends you a text every time a week passes letting you know what the baby is the size of. Your favorite text was probably the random “BASEBALL!!!” text, it took you a good five minutes to understand what it meant since he didn’t elaborate.

Dad Lee Know who comes home from work every day and gives your belly kisses, telling his little baseball sized baby that he missed them dearly. He says it’s so that they get used to hearing it already and they’ll know what it means when they come out.

Dad Lee Know who plans his entire schedule around your doctors appointments, making sure that he’s able to make it to each and every one of them. He and Chan almost got into a fight because Chan accidentally said the wrong date for practice. He even wrote the appointment dates on the staff calendar so they knew not to schedule anything for those days.

Dad Lee Know who had playfully made a bet with the guys about the gender of his child. He said he had thought it was, and he had wanted a boy, but when it was revealed that he was having a daughter he had cried tears of joy and excitedly wrote in the group chat that he’d give the guys the money he owed them for the bet after he took you out to eat.

Dad Lee Know who started decorating the nursery for his daughter the day after the appointment, declaring that the nursery would be fit for a princess… And then proudly stating that his daughter is a princess already. She was going to be spoiled beyond belief.

(He had also googled on the first night if it was normal for a baby's heartbeat to be almost 170bpm in the womb… It is normal.)

Dad Lee Know who put on a strong face when your water broke while you both were out shopping for more baby clothes. On the inside he was freaking out, but he was staying calm for you.

Dad Lee Know who held your hand on the ride to the hospital, tears already pricking his eyes knowing that his baby girl would soon enter this world and he’d be able to hold her.

Dad Lee Know who freaked out a little bit (a lot) when he saw his daughter's head crowning, he was about to faint, so he opted to stay up close to your head through the rest of the delivery because he wanted to be conscious when she fully came out.

Dad Lee Know who told you that you were doing amazing and how proud he was of you even though you were being so mean during the delivery. He understood though, it looked like it hurted a lot. He was so proud to call you his wife.

Dad Lee Know who’s hand was shaking as he cut the umbilical cord, his breath was held, but that was the moment that he truly felt like a dad, like a father. He finally let the breath out when the cord was cut.

Dad Lee Know who almost threw up the first time he changed her diaper. After he was done it looked like he had lost about 20 years which was hysterical to you. All of the guys heard about it and they clowned him for it for a good bit.

Dad Lee Know who cried his eyes out the night before his paternity leave was over. He didn’t want to go back to work, he didn’t want to spend a single moment away from you or his daughter, the thought that he might miss something was devastating to him.

He took pictures and videos all day, and then that night when she was fast asleep, he laid in bed beside you, choked up and sniffling as he told you that he felt like he was missing too much of her life because of his job.

Dad Lee Know who had been the one to see her take her first steps and jokingly flaunted that you had missed it… But then quickly apologized when he saw that it upset you and pulled out his phone because he had managed to record it. The group chat also got the video, they were constantly in the loop about everything that she did.

Dad Lee Know who demanded that you and his daughter be allowed to go on tour with him and the guys, and then giving management the ultimatum that it was the three of you, or none of you at all. That was his daughter's first plane trip.

Dad Lee Know who death stared at anyone that even looked slightly annoyed when your daughter got a little cranky on the plane. He kept her on his lap the whole time and bounced her and sang to her so that you’d have a comfortable flight.

Dad Lee Know who talked only about you and his daughter when he had the chance to during concerts. If fans had a problem with it, he didn’t really care. You and his baby were the most important things in his life right now, and you always would be. If the fans didn’t like hearing about it, they could leave.

Dad Lee Know who threw a massive party when his daughter got accepted into SNU. He tried to uninvite his daughter’s boyfriend, but she insisted that he come or she wouldn’t show up.

Dad Lee Know who taught his daughter to drive. He was terrified, and she almost crashed into the curb, but he told her she was doing a great job regardless so that he didn’t break her spirits.

Dad Lee Know who would do anything for his daughter, she is his entire life, his whole world. He loved her with his entire heart. He’s the best father in the universe, he would lay down his life for her, he would give up everything for her. She’s the greatest thing to ever happen to him, and watching her grow has been bittersweet, sad but rewarding. He wanted nothing but the best for her, and he’d make sure that no matter how old he got, or how old she got, he’d always be there for her.

hyunjin x fem!reader

hyunjin comes home earlier and decides to plan a nice dinner, it doesn’t go as planned but it all works out in the end.

note: i cried while writing this

the smell of burning was apparent from the moment she’d walked into the apartment. quickly kicking off her shoes, to find out where the smell was from. hyunjin must have forgotten to turn something off before leaving for practice. nothing was smoking but poor hyunjin was spotted on his hands and knees on the kitchen floor scrubbing his heart away.

“hyun?” he turned his head over his shoulder, scurrying to his feet and standing in a greeting way.

he brushed off his nice suit and placed his hands in front of him while straightening his back.

“i didn’t think you’d be home so earlier.” he looked behind him. moving quickly around the kitchen once again collecting things that had been left about.

it was a mess; dishes filling the sink, hyunjins dirty clothes tossed to the side of the washing basket, some burnt meal ontop of the stove and the split substance hyunjin had been violently trying to get off the marble flooring. he reached on the counter top handing her a rose while his arms were full of the now useless cutlery.

“what’s this?” she asked taking the flower. hyunjin dropped the tools into the sink with the rest. she watched noticing the sauce smeared all over the arm of his nice new suit.

“oh for fuck sake.” hyunjin huffed taking a paper towel and tried to dab it away but it had already starting setting in.

she reached for the tissue to help him. “jin calm down.” she laughed.

“im sorry, i just wanted to do something nice. but the food i got burnt because i thought it said 2 hours but it said 20 minutes. and the stupid stupid sauce got all over your new floor,” he pointed down were she took a step back to avoid standing in the bubbly red stain. “and im sweaty and tired now and you came home before i could reshower or finish-“ he stopped when she reached up and softly kissed his cheek.

“you’re so cute.”

“what?”

“you think this impresses me?” hyunjin blinked in confusion at her.

she laughed placing the tissue down and reaching up to his neck. “jinnie when have you ever seen me eat fancy chicken?” she gestured to the burnt mess over her shoulder. “or drink expensive champagne?” he looked over to the other side of the kitchen where the bottle of champagne had been popped but split all over the counter. “so you don’t like the suit?”

“the suit is gorgeous.” she ran her hands over his neck down to his chest. “but you face is telling me it doesn’t feel as pretty as it looks.”

“oh thank god.” he pulled his jacket off in one movement and unbuttoned the top few buttons of his dress shirt.

“erm careful that looks expensive!”

“it’s fine it’s versace. they’ll send me a new one next week.”

she laughed as hyunjin dramatically sighed swaying his arms around to cool down.

“you know what does impress me?” he titled his head to the side.

“your cute little face.” she squished his cheeks in which he grabbed her hands and dodged her from doing it again. “but seriously hyun never think you’re cooking again.” she deadpanned.

“actually i think i have something you may like..” she looked at hyunjins mischievous smile as he moved into the living making sure she followed behind him.

the room looked normal which confused her. hyunjin walked up to the couch grabbing the remote and turning it back on. it had been playing some playlist on spotify, one he had created. “you made a playlist?”

“for us.” he smiled dropping the controller back onto the seat before moving closer to her once again.

“seriously?” she looked at all the classic love songs he’d added from his favourite films and songs they had built special connections with.

she didn’t believe it. out of all the things he’d planned for tonight, this had to be the most romantic thing. a stupid spotify playlist.

“can i have this dance m’lady?” he propped his hand out waiting for her to take it.

“never call me that again.” she laughed taking it as he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. “okay love.”

her other hand landed back onto his broad shoulder shoulder stroking up and down. some cheesy love song playing as he starting guiding her around the room.

he was a professional dancer of course he was going to be flawless with ball dancing, even in a sweat fill suit. he moved her around letting go of her hip as he attempted to spin her without getting tangled together. she could no longer smell the burning from the kitchen, or feel the sticky residue on hyunjins suit just him. she could only see him, feel him. just the purple haired man in front her focusing on not muddling up his feet under pressure.

“you know, you’re a pretty romantic man.” she sighed as the song came to a finish and another started to play.

hyunjin didn’t let her go in fact pulling her closer so there faces were close enough to touch. “really?”

she hummed looking up at his beautiful. “i really love you.”

“what?”

hyunjin looked mortified as he realised the words that had slipped out his mouth. she smiled big leaning up to his kiss his lips lightly. “you’re so cute.”

“are you not going to say it back?” he pouted and she groaned.

“i love you too hyunjin.”

you swore your eyes had long turned into hearts as you watched chan. his hand was busy writing down lyrics, before pausing and scratching them out. you, however, were admiring the unique way the sun caught on his jawline. your eyes drifted to his hand, the scribbling of the pen becoming white noise as you traced the prominent veins. your gaze went up to the lines of his nose and cheekbones. the soft, but strong structures and skin were shadowed delicately in the morning sun.

he always looked so soft to you, it was something you couldn’t quite place your finger on. whatever it was, he just embodied the feeling of home and constant warmth. a feeling of comfort you craved throughout the day. you found yourself melting into his reassuring presence, curling itself around you soothingly. it got to the point where you could tell how he was feeling just from the sheer amount of time you’d spent watching him, studying those pretty brown eyes of his.

you laughed yourself from your idle daydreaming when the sound of pen on paper stopped, the clinking of the metal pen hitting the wooden table letting you know he was taking a break. he darted his eyes up to your own when he heard the noise, and he felt himself grow bashful when he saw you were already looking at him. you held your head in your hand, smile soft and warm. your eyes were so fond, it was hard for him to believe it was all for him.

you tilted your head, moonstruck with the way he glowed in the morning sun. “what?” he questioned, quietly as if not to break the quiet bubble surrounding you both. you could only watch in awe as his eyes sparkled, like the brightest night sky. his lips parted, a whole-hearted smile tugging at the plushness when you answered him.

“i just wanted to let you know that i love you.”

you said it so easily, so genuinely, it made his chest hurt. it rang from your lips like the sweetest bells. you smiled at his shy laugh, only hoping he knew that you’d bet your whole life away just to tell him how much he shined. for just a chance to tell him how clear he made your skies. he hoped you knew that no matter how many times you said those three simple words, it would always mean the world to him. it would always light the fire within him anew.

you reached out for his hand, bringing it to your lips. you placed small kisses, delicate little things, on each knuckle. his cheeks bloomed with pinks, his other hand coming up to cover his mouth. he suppressed a squeak when you turned his hand over to press a kiss to his palm. if he were a cartoon, he’d have little hearts floating around him, he was sure. he felt like he was on fire, love wasn’t enough to describe the emotion festering within his heart.

he pulled his hand away from his mouth, letting a full smile stretch his lips again. he pulled you closer, leaning his head on your shoulder, grinning somehow wider when you rested your head on his. his notebook lay forgotten for now, as chan chose to bask in this tender moment with you. it was one of the few he had left, he didn’t have much time left with you with the tour coming up. so instead of worrying about work, he pressed a kiss to your shoulder.

“you mean the world to me.” he whispered, and you smiled brightly in the corner booth you were huddled together in. yes, he loved you too.
