Evidence that the Greens intended to kill Rhaenyra’s children if Aegon became king:
1. Already murdered one child.
2. Called the murder of said child “a good start” and threw a feast to celebrate.
Evidence that the Blacks intended to kill Alicent’s children if Rhaenyra became Queen:
1. It’s a convenient hypothetical to excuse the Greens usurping the throne.
2. ???
I think the Team Green fixation on Jaehaera is honestly pathetic and embarassing. She’s not the first or last child to suffer or die in ASOIAF, nor end her bloodline. Why did the Velaryon boys all have to die brutal deaths ? What about all the peasant children who burn up in Aemond’s rampages, or suffer mass rape and murder at Bitterbridge and Tumbleton ? Why do Shireen, Myrcella, Tommen have to suffer a horrible fate ? I never see the same insistence that any of them make it.
I think her death serves two important narrative stories. First, it secures the pyrrhic victory, by ending the Green’s bloodline and making their supposed efforts for self-preservation completely null. It evens the slate between the Greens and Blacks (Greens get the history books, Blacks get the actual bloodline).
But I think the more important narrative is how it demonstrates the effect of the Dance on women in the universe. The irony that the Greens last claimant to the throne is invalid because of their efforts. Jaehaera is deemed unimportant and replaceable by her own faction because of gender, and is therefore relegated to a vulnerable and unprotected position. Their ideology kills the last of their bloodline. She is usurped and killed by an ambitious lord with the same motivations as her grandfather had for usurping Rhaenyra. It shows the cyclical nature of violence against girls and women who have little value in their society, except as bloodline vessels and maybe curators of political favors and supportive wives.

Me when people say that Aemond is a better fighter than Daemon and is going to kill him
"not all men-" you're right, jacaerys targaryen, heir to the iron throne, prince of dragonstone, the eldest son of queen rhaenyra targaryen and laenor velaryon, a dragonrider, would never treat me like this
Let's clear things up once and for all. The real canon is the books written by GRRM. George may have sold his soul to HBO, but HOTD is still nothing more than poorly written by Ryan and Sara fanfiction. The events that take place in the show are not truly canon. This is more like a filmed AU fanfic.
The real canon is:
Viserys loved Alicent.
Alicent and Rhaenyra were not friends.
Alicent was eighteen years old when she married Viserys. Viserys was not yet thirty at the time.
Helaena is not a dreamer.
Aegon the Usurper is not a depressed boy who was disliked by his parents.
Mysaria and Daemon had a child together who died before he was born.
Criston did not have sex with Rhaenyra or Alicent.
Laena was twenty-two years old when she married Daemon.
In order to become a dragon rider you need to have Valyrian blood in your veins.
Whether Daemon cheated on Rhaenyra or not, he never tried to usurp her or scheme behind her back.
Killing Luke and killing Jaehaerys were not misunderstandings or accidents.
When the war began, the people of the Riverlands immediately supported Rhaenyra, except for the Tully and Brackens. But the Tully were initially neutral, and then supported Rhaenyra, and the Brackens were looking for a reason to fight the Blackwoods.
Corlys eldest illegitimate son is Addam, not Alyn.
Vaemond is Corlys nephew, not his brother.
Rhaena Targaryen's dragon is the Morning, not the Sheepstealer.
Alys charms had no effect on Daemon.
Rhaenys Targaryen has black hair. Rhaenys was not present at the coronation of the Usurper, and she was the one who proposed to attack the capital with all the dragons that the Blacks have.
Daemon really killed Laenor.
After his wedding to Rhaenyra, Laenor lived almost all time in Driftmark.
Daenerys's dragon eggs were laid by Dreamfire, not Syrax.
The marriage of Laenor and Rhaenyra lasted six years, and Rhaenyra and Daemon ten years.
Daemon didn't kill Rhea.
Rhaenyra was never cheated on Daemon.
And as a special aside, Jaehaera Targaryen died before she was ten years old. She and Aegon III have no children together. And Daenerys Targaryen is not a descendant of Aegon III, but his younger brother Viserys II. I'm writing this because at least forty green fans of the show wrote to me who were smart enough to Google that the war would end with the marriage of Aegon and Jaehaera, but not smart enough to Google what would happen after.
Aegon II defenders be like “oh my god you rape ONE person and all of a sudden you are the bad guy🙄😒”
alicents green dress moment was nothing short of pick me vibes. She ruined another women's wedding by coming late and trying to outshine her. She'd be mocked in reality if this was a real event.
Realistically this scene should indicate to everyone that alicent wasn't fit to be Queen. She comes in late, wears war colours and the dress itself is revealing so goes against her faith (the faith of the seven). She made herself look like a bad Queen consort in front of everyone important. Yet the narrative is painting her as badass and stuff. It was cringe and definitely not badass. She was not fit to be Queen and team green are definitely just blind if they think she is
Because the whole point of this scene was for Alicent to be the most important and such a "badass". After all, TG are so excited that everyone stood up in amazement at the sight of her, but not when Daemon entered! As if standing up for the queen's entrance was not required…
For me, Alicent's entire behavior at the wedding was completely cringe and I will never change my mind, because she showed a complete lack of any respect not only for the crown, but also for the Velaryon family, because they were the guests of honor. Alicent was a completely adult woman (both by Westeros standards and by modern ones), and she behaved like an offended child, because her former friend did not tell her the truth about her sexual life… as if Alicent's father had not sent spies after Rhaenyra, did not want to ruin her and there was no risk that Alicent would immediately run to him with the news. And you know "she didn't confide in me about the sex" = "this is war!!!!", because it's obvious that this will mean that Rhaenyra will want to murder her and her children in the future, and nothing will help protect your own life better than making a potential executioner your worst enemy. Alicent has a brain.
People need to understand that they don't have to like everything their fav does.
Jace and Joffrey Velaryon: Seasons 1 & 2
Unfinished piece of Jon’s and Robb’s goodbye scene:’)
They are actually my favorite dynamic and I hope to draw an actual finished piece one day …
He pulled Jon to him and embraced him fiercely. “Farewell, Snow”. Jon hugged him back. “And you Stark.”
Seriously I want to cry
Joffrey throwing Lucerys’ toy into his funeral pyre so his big brother can take it with him into the afterlife 💔
