hey if anyone was at edinburgh comic con this weekend and has seen my red dwarf hamburger phone please please please let me know!!! thought id misplaced it in my hotel room but couldnt find it before checkout time :[

had to get the train home now but if anyone gets any info on my hamburger telephones whereabouts pls get in touch!!! already emailed the comiccon people and left my number at the hotel just in case it turns up but wanna cover all my bases incase anyones seen it bc i rly wanna try and get it back :]

met a bunch of red dwarf people at cons recently & have been collecting their autographs on my hamburger telephone

so far its been signed by doug naylor, hattie hayridge, craig charles, chris barrie, mark williams and danny john jules :D

oh yeah i forgot about this!! im going to assume due to this they didnt know it was rimmer that botched the drive plate job but itd be hilarious if they did and were still just like "yeah he was the one that wiped out the whole crew but he was the one they revived anyway"

i wonder how the rest of the world/solar system/wherever people were living at that point responded to the radiation leak on red dwarf, if they all knew it was a radiation leak that wiped them out or if that info didnt get back to most of them, if its remembered as a historical event like the titanic or chernobyl, or if its a mystery that spirals into a bunch of mad conspiracy theories like the bermuda triangle or the loch ness monster

does it go down in history as "the mysterious case of the disappearing crew of red dwarf" or is it commonly known as "the red dwarf radiation leak tragedy"? did holly manage to get the information back to them?? or did they not even know the crew disappeared at all & just saw the ship start ominously floating out into space without any explanation

if they do know it was a radiation leak do they know why it happened?? do they know it was because rimmer didnt fix the drive plate properly & if so did he become a historical figure as "the guy who wiped out the red dwarf crew" or do they just know it was a botched drive plate with no other specifics??

did they know there was still a guy in stasis on the ship who had survived?? did they ever try to go on a rescue mission to get him?? did they find out about the cat race evolving on the ship???

low rimmer fit for edinburgh comiccon on saturday!!!

that was me doing the smash or pass before the show and also the kazoos!!! very glad everyone around me enjoyed my bits as much as i did :D

the glasgow idkhow show was amazing!! i was so spent, i set off with a friend to catch the train at around 4 pm and we didn't get home until midnight 💀💀

highlights include:

someone in the crowd before the concert holding up pictures of (including but not limited to) jerma, freddy fazbear and purple guy which everyone screamed and cheered at

someone passing around a huge bag of kazoos as we were lining up with instructions to join in at the end of razzmatazz

dallon attempting a scottish accent

the drummer having an injured foot but still performing for us (thank you ronnie <3)

dallon's bass malfunctioning

dallon telling everyone below 25 to stop listening before what love 💀

him mentioning a certain friend who stole money (and everyone booing!!)

dallon leading the crowd to harmonise during a letter

visitation of the ghost crowd walk during which he walked so close to me he accidentally bumped into my bag (!!)

i have some videos of these which i'll post later once i've recovered LMAO but that was an incredible, exhausting, beautiful first concert and i'll never forget it <33

back to earth gets a lot of hate compared to the rest of the show but i think theres something interesting to be said about the lack of laughing in it due to the lack of live audience

noticed this within the first scene between rimmer + lister in their sleeping quarters, it was the same kind of conversation theyd have at any other point with the same kind of comedic moments/quips between them & there were several moments where i can hear where they WOULDVE had some laughs from the audience, but there was just silence

& i just think its such a subtly interesting little insight into what life on the dwarf is actually like for THEM from THEIR perspectives, they dont find each other as hilarious as the rest of us do from the outside bc they generally just dont get along most of the time, they have no one other than each other for laughs or entertainment

lister & rimmer arguing or the cat being egotistical or literally any of the comedic interactions the live audience wouldve laughed at were just met with complete silence or frustration from the others, they cant see in from an outside perspective thats literally just the way they live alone with no one but each other for their entire lives

idk its just like an interesting little thing i noticed while im at this point in my rewatch n js started to think about

im going to make sham glam a real thing and its going to be great
