some traditional fiddler with a side of fiddauthor
duuude i just realized. soos being adopted by stan + fiddauthor means that soos and tate would be cousins. i think thats cool and makes sense. like imagine soos being at the tackle shop fixing a lightbulb or something yapping about some random bullshit and tate's just sitting there running the shop listening and occasionally nodding. that just makes sense. they would definitely have that older/younger cousin dynamic. they even have the same outfits even though theyre just employee uniforms but shhh let me dream
guys im so sorry for posting angst on fiddleford friday but like... i have to talk about this can you imagine how stressful weirdmageddon was for him?? like dude. it would be like 15x as bad as during the construction of the portal. the entire town was counting on him to build this robot. not only does that include ford but probably most importantly tate. if he failed then his best friend and his kid would be trapped in stone forever, or destroyed, or whatever bill was going to do to them. and he wouldnt even get the chance to say goodbye or make up for his previous mistakes. if he was quintuple checking his equations for the portal, then imagine how many times he checked his equations when building the shack-a-tron. its also a really horrible loop because working on the thing made him stressed out about messing up, but building is also kind of his coping mechanism, so he builds to cope while stressing himself out even more. dude. give this man a hug. he should get a hug.
heres my nonsensical stan coded song: it’s my belly button by rhett and link
any rhett and link song could be either stan twins song tbh. i approve.
i just watched an entire simpsons episode with my father for 3 seconds of bill cipher telling us to buy crypto we both agreed it was 100% worth it
picturing stan confronting bud gleeful except its just the opening to candy store from the heathers musical.
ok i just had a thought remember how in the journal (that i now have by the way im so excited and happy to have it oh my GO) ford said he had a picture of nikola tesla yeah what if he had that during his sea grunk era stan: [looking at a picture of the twins] man i cant wait for summer to see them again. what great kids. i wonder what they're doing right no- ford: [looking at a picture of nikola tesla, a few feet away from stan] siigh. tesla. such a great man. i could only dream of being as smart as him. i swear ill catch that anomaly for you tesla. i shall avenge your memory stan: shut the fuck up ford nobody cares
old man mcgucket is the loneliest person in all of gravity falls. and it’s not by choice. i mean, he’s always walking around town and trying to talk to people, but who wants to talk to that crazy guy? he’s creepy. not even his own son wants to talk to him. people just avoid him. 30 whole years and nobody ever reached out to help him. he was probably too far gone in the first place, honestly.
with nobody to talk to, it’s not really a surprise that he builds those weird robots to cope. it’s the only way people will give him any attention, recognition, or to just look in his direction at all. nobody cares about his other inventions, but those robots get him put in the news all of the time. not to mention the fact that people only started paying attention to him after he saved us during weirdmageddon. even then, most people care more about what stan and ford did. maybe he should’ve tried harder.
now that he’s regained his mind and ford is with him, people treat him more like a human. but i think they still talk behind his back. only reason they don’t say it to his face anymore is because they’re scared of ford. ford is a hero. you don’t want to get on his bad side. just put up with the guy he’s with, even if you don’t want to. nobody really wants to. the only reason he even got on the path to recovery is because dipper thought he was the author. dipper didn’t even plan to help him at all. he just wanted to look for more information.
hes lucky to have ever been given a second chance.
if it weren’t for ford he would still be a nobody.
it probably would’ve been better that way
then everyone could continue to ignore him.
like they always have.
