the acting in voice acting is crazy because its the same dude and you KNOW LOGICALLY it's the same dude because he sounds like the same dude but no this blonde haired loser and this vampire slayer and this mafia bookie and your husband from the future are all different people to me when it's the SAME FREAKING GUY

So like this is what was going on with the holocaust, right? A large amount of people leaving the country for safety? a discriminatory leader? protection of business in support of the discriminatory leader and punishment of ones that don't? Large amounts of minorities being discriminated against? Using places made to punish people who've actually done things wrong to put innocent people in? That's what happened, right?

Because what I'm seeing now is queer people running for their lives, a discriminatory leader, protection of large companies like United healthcare, people discriminating against trans individuals and immigrants, and ICE imprisoning legal immigrants.

Scythe Audio is literally my comfort channel, like every time I’m upset or in a bad mood I listen to literally anything from him and I feel better. Maybe it’s how immersive they feel or maybe it’s just the screaming but something takes my mind off of whatever’s happening

People who throw tantrums over morally grey (or morally bad) audio rp characters, audios with dark or uncomfortable themes, or audios with tragic endings need to grow tf up. Audio roleplays don't have any obligation to always be comfy and cozy and make you feel warm and fuzzy. They can be dark, they can be tragic, they can be scary. People who get upset at VAs for performing more emotionally challenging material can stfu. How boring would it be if every single audio was just "Perfect love interest with no flaws falls in love with perfect listener with no flaws, they face no conflicts and don't suffer any challenges. Then they kiss. The end."

This is beyond a lack of media literacy, this is a complete lack of understanding of media in general. There is more than one genre out there in literally every other medium of fiction, there is more than one character archetype out there. Most importantly, none of is real. Just because you're roleplaying in the first person, that doesn't mean you're actually literally living it. It's FICTION. That's not your real boyfriend, this isn't your actual life, and the listener is a character that you roleplay as, not your real-life self. Please, back up and let VAs exercise their right (yes their RIGHT) to free creative expression.

The fact that some VAs have abandoned (or even completely deleted) certain characters and playlists just because brats with zero media literacy make it such a headache to attempt anything challenging should be enough of a sign that it's time for us to grow tf up.

Wilder : *calling out the fans that that got mad at V for leaving last time*

Me, feeling called out cuz I am one of those people 😭: "Whoa, okay, I get it, he needs his time I'm sorry, damn!"

V, now having panic attacks: 😰😰

Me: lmao, first time?

V, now got worse: 🫨

Me: WHOA- okay, I should've expected that-

V: * now ready to drop his background story*

Me: YEAAAAAAA-

Lady Akasha: Am I interupting something..?

Me: "... WELL YES, THANKS A LOT-" 🤬

Lady Akasha: "I got updates"

Me: "..... Okay forget what I said earlier please proceed m'lady." 👀

Void: * making an appearance*

Me, knowing damn well we're gonna have a bad time: "ah... Get a load for this fuc-"

Void: * reveal himself as Maverick and there's references to the reddening audio*

Me, realising that things went from 0 to 100 real quick: "AYYO HELL NAH-" 😨😨😨

In any case, I enjoyed the audio nonetheless. It was a roller coaster of emotions since the last audio of this series ngl. 😂😭

The misuse of the M4A tag is a huge issue within the ASMR community, but the one that mainly comes to my mind, is scythe audio. Now before I continue, two things: one, this is my opinion; two, this is out of the people that I watch; I'm sure there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who do it a thousand times worse than he does. I don't want any kind of hate pushed towards him; he's an amazing VA, and despite this, I do enjoy his content. I just wish he didn't misuse the M4A tag. With that done, I will continue. From what I've watched of his content, the worst example of this is in his series: Beyond the Stars. because even though all of the different points of view have been tagged as m4a. (except for one, which is tagged M4f). Despite being tagged as m4a, they clearly aren't. If you look at the designs of the characters that are supposed to represent the listener, they are clearly extremely feminine and meant to look as such, and the writing that is used to describe the listeners as well within the content itself also shows that it's not exactly meant for listeners that aren't female. If it was just stated as such, just straight-up tagged as M4F, I wouldn't care; if he's not comfortable voicing and/or writing for non-female listeners, that's fine. it's his channel; he can post what he wishes. not my gripe at all. I just wish, as I said before, he didn't misuse the m4a tag. because if you look at other VAs with truly M4A content, and you look at his "M4A" content, there is an obvious difference. the only series of his that I have seen that doesn't have this issue. is where the listener is a literal cat—it's kind of hard to gender that. Like I said, I don't want any hate towards him; I do genuinely enjoy his content. I just wish he didn't misuse it, as I said. (sorry if I'm repeating myself, and sorry this is long.)
