The clouds are being illuminated by lightning.
Aries moon: Your emotions are more important than everyone else’s because you think your emotions are harder to bear than theirs. Super whiny about whatever’s bothering you that day. You think you’ve had it worse and you think everyone should know. Very immature about handling your emotions. You won’t listen to others emotions because you’d rather “keep to yourself.”
Taurus moon: You’re materialistic and boast about it. You always want to know other’s problems to assert to yourself that at least you aren’t dumb enough to have their problems. You think the only way to win an argument is with a manipulative ultimatum. You think everyone needs your approval to feel their emotions.
Gemini moon: You always want to know everyone’s emotions and problems because you want to see what would happen if you told everyone involved. You can’t be held responsible. You think everyone’s over-exaggerating their problems. You always wait too long to apologize. Deflecting is your motto.
Cancer moon: You’ll probably cry over this. You’re way too overemotional. You tell everyone you follow your new breathing exercise when you start to freak out and panic. You get things by making others feel guilty for you. Unhealthily possessive of people and objects, probably shown in childhood, “She can’t be your favorite, she’s already my favorite!”
Leo moon: You want everyone to pity you because you thrive on attention. Also wanting people to hate you because you thrive on attention, even if it’s negative, so you hurt them. You get upset when you walk past people and they don’t say “speak of the devil!” or start whispering and pointing. You are dramatic when you’re recounting your past problems but always make your current problems seem better because you don’t like to admit that you actually can’t do everything by yourselves.
Virgo moon: You preach communication but you always fail to actually communicate. You claim to know the best for everyone and you will blame anyone else when your plan went south. Everyone treats you as their welcome mat and you let them. You worry to the point of panic. You aren’t actually the smartest person you know even though you think you are.
Libra moon: You are the most boring person emotionally. You bottle up your emotions really well until you can’t take it and you explode. You can never tell when it’s going to happen so you spend time driving people away before it can. You think you need to interfere with everyone else’s problems. “Stick a pin in it,” is your favorite quote.
Scorpio moon: You’re sensitive but can’t deal with anyone knowing it. You can’t handle your ‘intense’ emotions. You want to be emotionally detached but you always end up oversharing. Your unhealthy coping mechanisms aren’t as cute as you think they are. Your common sense seems to stop whenever you encounter a slight problem.
Sagittarius moon: You can’t handle staying some where for too long. Your random daydreaming is annoying. You’re always clueless to other peoples emotions, stemming from the fact that you just don’t care. You get so consumed in your beliefs that you won’t listen to reason or the truth. You think you can test your limits but then you end up in bed, moping for three days.
Capricorn moon: You think your responsibility equates to your emotional maturity, but you are one of the worst at dealing with your emotions. You need efficiency and sacrifice neatness to do it. But you won’t accept anyone else’s feelings unless they’re perfect or they benefit you. You always have a hard time emotionally connecting with people.
Aquarius moon: You crave individuality so much that you’ll ruin your life with anything that makes you feel different, like drugs. You can’t emotionally connect with people because any sign that someone feels the way you do feels like a personal attack. Aloof with their emotions.
Pisces moon: You claim to have everything under control but you can’t even handle your own emotions. When people talk about needing to use baby gloves they’re talking about you. You’re judgmental about everyone else’s emotions but you always have a justification for yours.
Edit: fixed the bad transcript of full moons from May to August.
A little witchy calendar to look forward to next year, since this one was a little bit.. cursed.
This lets you know about the full moons, new moons, wheel of the year celebrations and zodiac entrys, I hope you can use this to aid you on your practice.
Ingredients
7g fast action yeast or 15g fresh yeast
1tsp sugar
200mL warm water (37°C/100°F)
350g strong white bread flour
4tbsp olive oil
1tsp grounded salt
1tsp grounded pepper
A good handful of fresh thyme (the more the better honestly)
Recipe
In a bowl, mix the yeast with sugar and warm water until frothy. Let it rest, if the foam is growing, your yeast is activated.
In a big bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper and thyme together. Make a small hole and add the olive oil and the mix of yeast and water.
Knead everything for at least 10 minutes (if you're doing it by had) or 5 minutes if you are using a robot.
Form a big ball and rub a bit of oil around it. Put in a clean bowl, recover with cling film and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour - 1h30) in a warm place protected from the wind (it will not rise)
Flatten the dough into a baking sheet, cover again and let it rise again for 1 hour.
Pre heat the oven 220°C / 425°F.
Lightly press the top of the dough with your fingers to make little dimples, drizzle with a bit of olive oil. Cook for about 15 minutes, until the top is a lovely golden colour.
Magick
Lughnasadh or Lammas is known as the feast of bread, this recipe would be perfect for your celebrations!
In this recipe thyme is used to attract good health. The plant was burned by the Greeks to purify temples. It is also carried and smelled to give courage and energy. Salt and Pepper are for protection.
Don't forget to prepare yourself and your kitchen when you are doing this spell. Before preforming kitchen witchery I always meditate on my intention, take a cleansing shower. I also prepare my kitchen: I clean it and cleanse it. I also love listening to music when I am cooking. I take the time to really feel the energy of the ingredients I am cooking with. If you are working with deities, a simple prayer and a offering can help! If you don't prepare yourself and your space you are just cooking, there is nothing magical in it.
Seeing the bread rising is kind of magical in itself, it reconnect with an ancestral tradition. To me the fact of rising enhance the properties of the other ingredients.
The fog was thick and full of light, and sometimes voices.
Shadow Work journal prompts
Shadow work works best if you are completely honest with yourself, this is a time for growth and evaluating your behaviors and what you need to change in order to be closer to a more authentic you.
In the beginning, I didn’t notice how much these questions made me really take a step back and think. I’ve spent so much time not thinking about the reactions I’ve had or what perceptions I have about situations, that I spent a lot of time writing and putting a lot of effort into each and every question.
Every time I started to journal— I have noticed a pattern, I have noticed where some of my anger and insecurities are stemming from, and why.
One of the prompts asked me to describe how I was as a child, this took me into a long loop of all the things I enjoyed doing as a child. This helped me connect with her. As I was describing how I was as a child I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the (good) memories that followed. There were some (bad) memories that showed up as well, and I journaled about them too and how it made me feel then— and now. This helped me feel connected to who I am today. It also made me realize how much I have been working for a very long time achieving who I am today. I hope these prompts helps whoever in need to start their journey into healing.

Who is ready for another journal Prompt for their shadow work journey?
This prompt is looking into more towards our insecurities and how we can work with them rather than against them.
1. List your current struggle(s) when it comes to loving yourself. This can be any aspect about yourself that holds you back from fully loving yourself unconditionally.
2. What habit(s) do you want to begin this month? I don’t know about you but I procrastinate a lot. I tend to lose interest quickly if I don’t start making changes now. Many times this is meaning I get started during the middle of the month. In my opinion, it doesn’t have to be specifically in the beginning of a new month. Changes happen all the time, regardless of the month. Get started now, don’t wait.
3. What are the compliment(s) you struggle to accept about yourself? Why? I personally struggle with compliments when it comes to my appearance. It makes me uncomfortable and I don’t fully enjoy them because mainly I didn’t believe that it is true. This journal prompt helped me realize that I need to start believing what people are saying to me about my appearance.
4. How can you use your negative qualities and spin them around to bring positivity into your life? This takes quite a long time to master honestly, this process is retraining your brain to reject the self sabotaging and stop to notice the feelings that are negative, acknowledge the emotion and turning it positive. For example instead of saying, “I’m bad at Math” say “I make progress everyday with Math”, etc.
We are all still a work in progress, by all means take your time and remember to reach out to a licensed professional if you need to. My inbox is open for support if anyone needs help or just needs to talk. I am not a licensed professional.
I hope these bring you all healing and clarity in your Shadow Work Journey.
live. live messy and vibrant and warm and wholeheartedly. dare to embrace the parts of yourself that are confusing and complex and don’t come in pretty packages. let yourself accept the love and light you engulf others in. live and live unapologetically as yourself, the battered, bruised and muddled parts included.
