What does Solange sing about that non blacks can’t even begin to understand? I’m interested. You sound very hyperbolic and stupid.
And you sound angry that there are experiences and feelings and emotions that non-Black people have never experienced or felt! Solange makes it clear that she makes music for Black people that have been overlooked — the “ghetto” Black people, the hood Black people, the country Black people. Tell me what makes you think that any non-Black person can relate to ‘Almeda’, and the feeling of their religion being deemed ‘heathenish’ and ‘godless’ and washed away by slavery. Tell me what non-Black people can listen to ‘F.U.B.U’ and relate to a single thing Solange mentioned in that song. Tell me what a non-Black person is supposed to get from ‘Don’t Wish Me Well’. From ‘Don’t Wait For Me’? ‘Cranes in the Sky’?
Tell me what makes you think that you have any right to tell Black people what and what they can’t share. There are plenty of lil’ non-Black people whispering over lazy beats for you to relate to —you gotta be really in your feelings to get upset about Black people on the internet holding tight to albums that were made for us, by us. Now go listen to Fiona Apple, hater.
I genuinely mean this, I hope all 5 of those Supreme Court members who voted Yes have to live their lives getting harassed and are extremely bothered till their last dying breath.
Bother them, make their lives miserable, make them not want to leave their homes.
itch.io is doing another massive bundle, this time for palestinian aid and you can and you can buy 1020 items for just 5 dollars HERE
[quoted from the page]
This is a grassroots bundle by indie devs who want to help Palestinians.
All profit from this bundle will be donated to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. The UNRWA has provided food assistance for over one million Palestinians, and continues to do so in the territories with heavy destruction. They also provide emergency mental and physical health protection for those in the region. https://www.unrwa.org/gaza-emergency
Indie games are unique in that they can tell stories not seen in AAA or other games. We pour our life experiences into our games and share a piece of ourselves with the world. Palestinian game developers are no different in this aspect, but have the added challenges of limited access to basic services, like clean water, electricity, medical care, and food security. They live under Israeli authority that discriminates and subjugates Palestinians to the point of persecution and apartheid, simply for being Palestinian. Furthermore, they develop games without all the resources that come with being in a western hub for game development.
Palestinian game developer Rasheed Abueideh did exactly that when he made Liyla and the Shadows of War, which tells a story of a little girl who lives in Gaza during the 2014 war, in which 30% of civilian casualties were children. Liyla and the Shadows of War was showcased at IndieCade and A MAZE and earned numerous award nominations, including a win in Excellence in Storytelling at the International Mobile Gaming Awards Middle East/North Africa.
This bundle is pay-what-you-want (above $5 U.S. dollars) for Liyla and the Shadows of War, and you will receive hundreds of additional games, assets, and soundtracks graciously donated by game developers and media creators around the world for free. The bundle will run through Friday, June 11th. Together, we can raise funds for UNRWA for food and medical assistance for Palestinians AND highlight a game developer who is directly affected by the cause we are rallying behind.

It's March 2021.
Breonna Taylor was murdered by the police on March 13, 2020.
Breonna Taylor has not received justice.
many of the victims senselessly murdered on the 16th do not have family able to pay for a funeral and to lay them to rest peacefully, if you’re able to, please donate and support as much as you can or donate directly to Mario González’s fundraiser for his wife’s funeral service. these people deserve the dignity and respect they deserved while they were with us in life in what we are able to do for them in their passing.
anyway not only did the “legalization” of cannabis in California fail to free Black and Brown people imprisoned for the sale and possession of cannabis, it also did not halt urine testing for cannabis as a means of re-incarcerating people on parole and probation, or change the fact that folks in California prisons who test positive for cannabis can lose visitation or be put in solitary confinement
