Im similar. They make humanoid forms for me. Luckily I dont think my actual form is too hard to comprehend. It just makes me shake violently when I see it in my head. I like when it's soup. Soup is easy to understand for sure. Even if it dissolves my identities. Can't even really call it a being

Being eldritchkin is so weird and funny because I'm this infinite cosmic dark being with infinite cosmic knowledge and a constantly changing, ever-shifting form that's unable to be truly perceived by mortals, but I'm also stuck inside of a tiny human body. With a human brain. So like- I technically can't even fully comprehend myself XD

when you're nonbinary cis people will constantly try to shove you back into the binary, and you'll think "hey maybe the queer community will treat me better" but then the queer community tries to shove you into a new "progressive" binary because no one can handle you not fitting neatly into a box

so clearly being nonbinary is the queerest gender you can be since it's too queer even for queer people

[binary people can reblog this but don't derail]

....I...Good to know...

the worst part about ocd and ocd-like tendencies is that you think hyper-analyzing your thoughts and constantly psychoanalyzing yourself will fix you but that's actually part of the disorder. it's the disorder. disordering.

there's a fine line between being wary of manipulation and becoming completely paranoid because you get very close to the realisation that pretty much all human interaction involves doing things we hope will lead to a result we like

Confronting Fear as Social Justice Workers in 2025: How to Protect Your Mental Health and Stay Resilient

As social justice workers in 2025, many of us are experiencing a complex mix of determination and apprehension. The world feels more volatile, and the challenges we face seem bigger than ever. It’s entirely natural to feel fear — for our safety, the progress of our work, and the future of the causes we hold dear. However, persistent fear can weigh heavily on our mind, body, and soul, making it difficult to sustain our efforts over the long haul.

Understanding how to manage this fear, rather than letting it consume us, is crucial for maintaining our mental health and effectiveness as advocates.

The Impact of Worrying About What We Can't Control

Constant worry about external factors — such as political shifts, legal crackdowns, or societal unrest — can lead to anxiety, burnout, and feelings of helplessness. When we invest too much energy in the things outside our influence, it drains our mental and emotional resources, often leaving us exhausted and demotivated.

Over time, this can manifest physically through fatigue, headaches, and sleep disturbances, and emotionally as despair or cynicism. Spiritually, it can lessen our sense of hope and purpose.

The key isn’t to ignore these concerns but to recognize when our focus is drifting into unproductive worry and take deliberate steps to re-center ourselves.

How to Get Ahead of Fear and Protect Your Mental Well-being

1. Stay Informed, Not Overwhelmed

Example: Subscribe to reputable news sources and set specific times during the day to catch up on updates, rather than continuously checking the news. Use daily briefings or newsletters that provide summaries rather than endless streams of information. This helps you stay aware without succumbing to information overload, which can heighten anxiety.

2. Build a Supportive Community

Example: Join or create a local or online network of like-minded activists. Regular virtual check-ins or support groups facilitate shared experiences and collective encouragement. For instance, participating in peer support groups or attending workshops focused on mental health and resilience can offer coping strategies and emotional relief.

3. Prioritize Self-Care

Example: Allocate daily time for activities that replenish your energy — whether that’s meditation, exercise, journaling, or engaging in hobbies like reading or gardening. For example, committing to a 10-minute meditation session each morning can help ground your mind and reduce stress. Remember, caring for yourself isn’t selfish; it’s essential for sustaining your work.

4. Focus on What You Can Control

Example: Identify small, actionable steps you can take—such as organizing community events, writing advocacy emails, or educating peers. Celebrating these wins reinforces your agency and counters feelings of helplessness. For instance, volunteering to mentor a younger advocate or donating to organizations doing impactful work can make you feel empowered.

5. Practice Resilience and Flexibility

Example: Develop adaptable plans that can evolve with changing circumstances. Perspective shifts, such as seeing setbacks as opportunities to learn, foster resilience. Engaging in mindfulness practices or attending resilience-building workshops helps reinforce mental toughness.

The Power of Mindfulness and Boundaries

It’s vital to recognize when worry is spiraling into anxiety. Establish boundaries around your activism — turn off news alerts when needed, and carve out time for rest. Practices like mindfulness, deep breathing, or therapy can assist in managing stress and maintaining a healthy perspective.

Final Thoughts

Fear is a natural response to uncertainty, especially for those fighting for justice in turbulent times. But it doesn’t have to control you. By actively managing your mental health, focusing on tangible actions, and building resilience, you can stay ahead of the fear and continue your vital work.

Remember, your passion and dedication are powerful. Take care of yourself so you can keep making a difference — mind, body, and soul.

Stay resilient. Stay hopeful. Keep pushing forward.

This is very relatable

You can pry my AGAB info from my cold dead hands.

(from u/Carousel-of-Masks on Reddit)

"Obviously, I’m exaggerating for the point, but holy hell does it piss me off when someone demands to know my AGAB. “It’s important info!”

FOR WHAT? For u to have an expectation of my genitals and internal sex chromosomes? News flash, any trans person will tell u that AGAB does not = typical presentation of that gender.

On top of this, it’s my CHOICE to reveal my AGAB. I like keeping it a mystery because people are all too quick to assign certain expectations of me based on AGAB.

AMAB? Oh trans woman in denial! Man in dress stereotype!

AFAB? Oh trans man in denial! Completely feminine woman-lite stereotype!

Like. No. I’m just me. An extremely dysphoric non-binary person that actually would love to be binary but has to grapple with an internal gender that does not feel like the 2 binary options. I say I am non-binary to escape those expectations in the first place. AGAB just reduces it all back down to the binary.

Now, other non-binary people can do whatever u want. Not like I can control anyone else’s actions. But a part of me does hate how prevalent it is to write “Non-binary (AFAB/AMAB)” every time someone mentions they are non-binary. I’m not talking about specific tips for transitioning, hrt, etc. But everyday conversation, social media posts about nothing to do with gender, etc."

Something about this rant deeply resonated with me, so I decided to crosspost it onto here. You cannot reinvent the binary to include nonbinary people. It will never work.

The fact that nonbinary and genderqueer people assigned male at birth (and more people, but it's hard to sum up a diverse group in one phrase) are so hyperinvisible really sucks.

Like the fact that there are so many posts like "oh you thought they were men but they're actually butches" but no one ever acknowledges that there could be femme gays who look like women. Transfemininity is forced into a binary of "cis man who's kind of fruity" or trans woman with no consideration for anyone who lives on the spectrum between the two or outside of it. Like people will make room for "not a woman but yes a lesbian" (dgmw they don't respect trans butches and lesbians, but they'll acknowledge they exist and pay lip service (even if it sucks, I'm talking you "non men loving non men")) but no one ever considers people like me who are the mirror image of: not a man but yes a fag (there isn't an equivalent word even that isn't a slur, reclaimed or not). People effectively deny any nuance or gender exploration to those they view as "male" while patronizingly pseudo acknowledging that of those they view as "female" and it sucks

I'm not a cis man I'm not a woman I exist not every nonbinary person is "woman lite" (and treating nonbinary people like that is shit on its own)

this is exorsexism.

I didn't know this...reblogging to remember

the terms afab and amab have always belonged to the intersex community

just because perisex people have bastardized their meaning, doesnt mean that it belongs to them now

afab DOES NOT MEAN "person who was born with a vagina"

amab DOES NOT MEAN "person who was born with a penis"

that re-definition is the result of bastardization.

someone who has a vagina is müllerian or close-to-müllerian (and that term is inclusive of trans women/fems/nonbinary people who have medically transitioned)

someone who has a penis is wolffian or close-to-wolffian (and that term is inclusive of trans men/mascs/nonbinary people who have medically transitioned)

someone who was afab can be wolffian at birth

someone who was amab can be müllerian at birth

DOCTORS CAN AND DO FUCK UP, EVEN IF THE BABY IS PERISEX. STOP TREATING THEIR GENDER ASSIGNMENT AS GOSPEL.

Can perisex trans bootlickers stop claiming that “sex is real, it’s gender that’s fake” or saying that trans people can’t change our sexes “but we’re still our genders” or arguing that your AGAB is inherently anything beyond a singular event in your past, or whatever?

These beliefs harm all sex variant people. I know some trans people may be comfortable not altering their physical sex, but that doesn’t mean the ones who do aren’t literally changing their sex.

Gender affirming surgeries and care were called “sex change” procedures for a reason. This novel re-definition of “sex” as being strictly chromosomes is a transphobic and intersexist response to the increased visibility of trans people. The line of thought was “well, I don’t want them to be able to change their sex! So I’m going to re-define sex as something we can’t (yet) change,” as well as, “well, I want to enforce the sex binary on intersex people, so I’m going to create a system to be able to force them into binary boxes based on whether or not they have a Y chromosome.”

Stop enforcing the sex binary. It is a bigoted concept and it hurts people. Stand by your intersex and transsexual siblings and don’t let us be erased.

End Of The Second Age. Sauron Knew Every Microexpression On Celebrimbor’s Face—and That’s When

End of the Second Age. Sauron knew every microexpression on Celebrimbor’s face—and that’s when the paintings began. Hundreds, perhaps thousands. Few ever accessed the dark tower, but those who did whispered of a mysterious elf carved over and over along the pillars and shadowed halls of Barad-dûr. They wondered—not aloud—who he was and what it meant. "Are all my thoughts of you, sweet raptured light? It ends here tonight."

If I Don’t Talk About Sky Food I Will Explode

(/j)

For whatever reason I crave consuming like, clouds and nebulas and stars and wanted to share my brewing ideas for how to mimic that :3

☁️ Clouds - Pretty obvious but cotton candy. Biting into cotton candy is essentially like biting into a cloud. I think whipped cream could also satisfy this in some way tho

⭐️ Stars - Konpeitō! It’s a Japanese candy that you may recognize from Mario Galaxy or Spirited Away; very star coded and I think they would work well for any star consuming urges (I haven’t tried them personally though)

☀️ Stars - I feel like ‘cute little sky dots’ and ‘massive balls of ‘fire’’ hit different lol- I feel like massive balls of ‘fire’ would be spicy but I have no idea what would fit that

🌌 Galaxies - Space themed sprinkles!!! If you think you can handle it I feel like eating just. Icing with sprinkles can have galaxy vibes but I don’t recommend it in large amounts

If anyone could point me in the direction of healthier space foods that would be much appreciated X3

It's okay to want to be androgynous as a non-binary person

It's okay to like androgyny as a non-binary person

It's okay to owe yourself androgyny as a non-binary person

It's okay to transition to androgyny as a non-binary person

It's okay to be transandrogynous

It's okay to love mixing masculinity and femininity into androgyny as a non-binary person

It's okay for your enbiness to be androgynous

It's okay to love being androgynous as a non-binary person

It's okay to want to have a mixed hormonal profile as a non-binary person

It's okay to want salmactive bottom surgery procedures a non-binary person

It's okay to not be white, or assigned a certain gender at birth and want to be androgynous as a non-binary person

If anything it's beautiful. It's wonderful. It's awesome.

You are not doing the community a disservice. You are making waves, when the world tells you to look more binary, you are choosing to subvert that because that's what is right for you. In the slew of "you don't HAVE to be androgynous" (look different, stand out, be visibly nonbinary in society), you are not dragging the community down by wanting to be different to the status quo. You deserve representation, you deserve to feel safe, you deserve to feel love, both self love and any other love you desire in life. Your androgyny, your striving for it, your androgynous desire is important and should not be ignored. It should be celebrated as part of your enbiness, as part of you 💛🤍💜🖤
