All my writing has felt so rough recently, and I don't know if it's like I'm just getting harsher in judging it, or the way I write has changed and I don't like it as much, or I'm just straight-up getting worse.
I mean, I'm gonna keep going, because I've got a story to tell and I wanna tell it, and I'm not just going to stop part way- and chances are, even if I don't get any better, there's still gonna be some parts in there that I'm really proud of writing, but, still. Feels bad, man :(
Oh you give author comment?? You give author little kudos on their fic?? LOVE FOR READER!! LOVE FOR READER FOR ONE MILLION YEARS!!
Just realised I haven't shown off Turmeric's new look yet!
When I was first playing with adding mods for some visual uniqueness for new characters, I found this 'winter plait' in "More Hair 2" (by eleanorroos) and immediately fell in love with it for her. I was already planning on changing her hair anyway and this is absolutely perfect in how it looks like a natural evolution from her previous hair - even using the same bit of ear-covering fringe at the front.
I also changed the colour - just by removing the highlights - because all the turmeric's been beaten out of her hair by now, there isn't a hint of yellow left in there. Her current name is now more a remnant of a bygone time as she grows more distant from the 'just a normal bard' phase of her life, and it shows.
In the story, I'm saying the reason for her rapid hair growth is the effect of a wild magic surge from Honeymeans. It was down to her ankles at first, which Bingemir laughed himself silly to see when the next delivery arrived (and Hush was thankfully willing to help in cutting it). Turmeric definitely gained a new respect for Orin's giant braid as she desperately tried to wrangle her own mass of Rapunzel hair before it could continue to trail in the snow and catch against the ridges of the tomb's walls any longer.
Admittedly I have been getting more silly with chapter titles recently, but I'm not sure I could quite get away with using this one for the actual update.
No matter how much I want to...
"Darling!"
"...darling?"
sigh...whatever *swigns my awsuome giant sword around*
I was testing things out to make sure the fight mechanics made sense, and I think Wyll is judging me
tinnitus is so stupid. what u mean eeeEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeEeeee!!!!!!!!! like girl shut up.
most important part of the writing process actually is when you loop a single song on max volume and stare at the word document and imagine the characters doing things for 14 hours. this is known as getting in the zone
I'm curious--how do you guys go about creating your OCs?
I write BG3 fanfic about having a bad time and learning to carry on anyway! It's good fun! And also devastating!
