referring to my timezone as "regular time" because everyone else on earth is wrong
this is long but i think it's a good read about the kind of weird shit even "normal" christianity does to women lol
my own addition is one time during our youth drama practice a boy could see a girl's lower back peeking out during a movement so he told the pastor about it, who then made an example of both of them by bringing them to the front of the group to discuss it at the next rehearsal. we applauded the guy for being Very Strong And Brave! while the girl in question stood there on display and didn't say anything while a middle aged man and a teenage boy discussed her body with the youth group for ten minutes.
also because this is a thread about women and people are ghouls: i'm trans, exclusionists go make your own repost. everyone else feel free to add your own weird christian purity stories lmao
There's this 20-something guy that I work with that exclusively refers to his girlfriend as 'my girl' or 'my lady' and it's genuinely really cute and I'm just amazed that he manages to make it not creepy.
"if you have learned anything about me..."
My guy... you do not shut up, I can't not learn about you although it is all against my will
Do you ever wanna pull a grown man around by his scruff? Like hello? There is a reason I'm walking where I'm walking, get back in line
learning how to hunt for the good fic on ao3 definitely has a learning curve but with time and effort and practice you too can develop a keen sense for how good a fic will be based on how unhinged the tags are
Me: you can eat the pizza for dinner tonight
My roommate: Sundays are a free for all. You can eat anytime.
new age discourse: do years spent in the time loop count towards your age if you don't age physically
me thinking of really cool art concepts all day

Preferred pronouns?
dont talk about me
i love it when you read multiple works from a writer and you start being able to pick out the things that stick with them. like the themes they keep thinking about, that can’t be satisfied with just one poem or novel or story. or the motifs they like to reuse and recycle throughout their works like an extradiagetic thread. it’s like drawing a map through a writer’s collection of all the things that keep them up at night
