I'm 99% sure I know who this is and I was not expecting you to ask me something like this uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I love the feel of rayon fabrics, acrylic fabrics, and some stretching fabrics, there are just some shirts and pants that are so soft that it lowkey feels like your wearing nothing lol. Bad textures? any soggy food, thats all kinds of gross but also ya know those fabrics that will latch onto your skin if it isn't completely smooth? Hate it, just hate it.

College au Vaxleth shenanigans, don’t ask what spurred this in my mind because even I don’t know.

Vax drew patterns onto Keyleth’s arm as she lightly dozed with her head on his chest, their legs intertwined and resting above the covers. 

The only sounds he hears is the rain from outside, the occasional creak of the apartment and their breathing. It’s a sweet lullaby that he knows he’ll never tire of and though it almost lulls him to sleep he keeps his eyes open and looking upon his lover’s serene face.

He’s had an ever present smile for he doesn’t even know how long now and gods isn’t that a shock, he never knew he could be this relaxed, this happy. And yet here he is laying down with the human embodiment of the sun wrapped around him. 

Vax didn’t expect the night to go the way it did but he wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. She always finds ways to surprise him and he damn wishes that never ends.

He remembers when he and Vex first met Keyleth. They’d just gotten out of classes when Vex had noticed there was a tear in her backpack and she was missing one of her textbooks, an expensive one at that. But before the twins could panic Keyleth had caught up with them and gave Vex her book back. Apparently she just got out of class as well and from across the street had seen the book fall.

Neither of the twins could have expected what that meeting would cause. They have a family now, an actual family filled with people who care about them and each other. After countlessly being told that they are worthless good for nothing bastards for the majority of their lives to being loved and cherished by this group of wondrous people. It gives Vax whiplash each time he thinks about it and now. Now he is dating the very person who changed his and his sister’s lives for the better, fuck it she GAVE them a life. 

Him and his sister would have never known the acceptance of a father like figure if she and Percy hadn’t invited them to go to her home town, as much as Vax doesn’t get along with him at times Vex found and got Percy a man who’ll actually treat her right and not like some inconsequential side piece, and for him? She chased away the shadows that threatened to consume him, all the bad deeds he’s done to help him and his sister survive haunt him but her light shines through and grabs him by his heartstrings to tell him time and time again that he’s a good person. That he deserves kindness, that he deserves love.

It takes him a moment to process that he’s crying and he can’t help but laugh at the pure absurdity of the cards of fate he’s been played. Here he is laying on his bed in his and his twins shitty apartment with this amazing life changing woman, whose heart has accepted everything that he is and ever will be, who overcame her own fears to finally allow herself to be loved and express a love she’s never been able to do before.

 Unfortunately with his laughter comes Keyleth’s rise to consciousness, she blearily blinks her eyes trying to rid them of sleep. Looking at him tiredly at first then with worry as she notices his tears.

“You’re amazing, you know that?” He tells her, causing her to blush with a soft smile, shaking her head a little while silently chuckling before looking back at him with an adoring gaze.

“You’re pretty amazing yourself.” She says softly, taking her hands and thumbing away his tears, lovingly staring into his eyes. Vax reaches up and cups one of her hands, leaning forward and giving her a brief soft loving kiss before leaning his forehead against hers.

They stay like that for a while, breathing in each other’s air and looking into one another’s eyes. Vax smirks and shifts them suddenly to where he’s on top of her, their gaze still locked on each other as Keyleth’s blush spreads from the tip of her ears to her chest. He interlocks their hands, letting them rest on either side of her head. He leans forward, kissing her, afterwards leaning back just a smidge.

“I love you.” He pours his soul and very being into those simple three words. Keyleth stares up at him with love and awe.

“I love you too, Vax.” She says barely above a whisper. 

Vax knows this night will never leave his memory for as long as he lives and he’s never been so content with that notion before. He’ll forever love this kind and compassionate wildfire of a woman.

Oh boy, just like Kiki I have a lot for Vax too. Saddest one? I think it might be how do to how stress and emotionally destructive his job is The Matren locks his emotions away but not completely like as soon as he starts to feel strongly about something it is immediately pushed down and trapped, the best way I can explain how it'd feel would be like taking a med to help with your anxiety but all it does is blur your reaction to things and still let's you have an internalized panic attack (yes something like this happened to me hense me being specific:'3) when Vax is for the lack of better wording on break the walls the Matren put up fall and it kind of hits him all at once. Luckily those who've cared for Vax and have already died are there for him and help him recover, like his mom just hugs him and sings him a song she used to sing to him and Vex

Summary: When Keyleth and Vax return to their respective homes upset and hurt, it’s up to Percy and Vex to calm them down and get them to check in on one another. And if they also happened to have an ulterior motive to try to help these two pining idiots get together? Well you’d have to be reading between the lines.

Aight here we go Vaxleth modern AU prompts/plot like points? idk but here they are!

Vax is a mortician and Keyleth is a florist, you can also put percy x Vex in here as well, could start with Vax having to find a new florist to get flowers for his work (I have barely any sense of what they do, probs do more research into what that line of work fully entails I know the main bits and bobbles of it but not the extras) this could work as a slow burn with all of them slowly getting to know each other (can of course add some angst in here too~ like vax having to prepair a body that looks like keyleth at some point? idk) so this prompt works for either long fics or a one shot

Rockstar AU Vex, Vax, Pike, Grog, and scanlan all are a band (manager is Gilmore because yes~) and when done with touring for a bit Gilmore reunites with his old friend Allura who is also attempting the same job but with Kyleth and Percy but tho they are good they haven’t had great exposure (Keyleth and Percys duo/band name could be The SunTree or Beneath the SunTree) so this leads to them meeting up causing a slow burn between both Vax an Keyleth and Vex an Percy, with the end leading into the creation of the band Vox Machina (bonus points if Keyleth, percy and Allura play D&D and Allura is the DM)

Finding orphaned fanfics and either finishing them or if they are complete writing them from the other background couples perspective! (if your able to ask for permission first!)

This is just an angst idea but could make  very good long fanfic story, due to this being modern AU so no magic ect Keyleth wouldn’t have the druid lifespan of like 1000+years so one idea could be her having cancer (please please do research if you do this and treat it with the respect it needs. or you can make up some disease/illness) maybe Vex is her head doctor and majority of the rest of Vox machina is her team helping her? Percy just being her best friend keeping her company and helping her through it (or if you want to add more angst and slower burn, Keyleth never told anyone but Pery about her illness and had been in a different hospital for help but has to get transfered which is how everyone else finds out causing sad angst while the gang tries to help Keyleth)

College chatfic or normal fic, or mix! slow burn all live in the same dorm like thing, treat rashan like a bad ex of keyleths and thats why she is hesitent to date or get romanticly involved with Vax and the closer the two get the more angry Rashan gets lowkey staking keyleth? god majority of these are dark sorry about that XD 

Anything with Keyleth having a bad previous ex could give her reason to get a tattoo across her collar bone that of antlers that on them in firery text says ‘I have passed through fire’

Strong Keyleth like this can work with any fic just strong keyleth, who likes to go rock climbing and such.

Feel free to mix match or pick apart and put together ideas! Like this is for y’all to mash and mix or just use as inspiration and do your own idea/prompt I just want to read more modern au vaxleth fanfic pls link me them when ya get one posted ;-; (might post more critical role fanfic prompts at some point we’ll see)
