Sit outside and feel sunlight on your skin. Focus on the feeling and let your imagination go free. Don’t think about what is stressing you.
Go for a walk barefoot on the grass and breathe.
Have a technology break and just sit.
Drink a glass of cold water.
Read your favourite sad book. Sit and immerse yourself in the story.
Listen to your favourite meaningful songs. Preferably use headphones and blast it. Sing along to the lyrics and focus on the words and melodies.
Read poetry gently. Really think about what it means.
Sit and cry. Just let everything out.
Reminisce the past. Think over everything.
Write all of your thoughts and feelings down.
nay, encouraged to…
buy books you’ll never read
abandon books halfway through
read your favorites over and over again
read ‘easy’ books
read books you don’t totally understand
just look at the pictures
start in the middle
take notes
break spines
read the book after you saw the movie
skip the boring parts
keep books out of sentiment
bring a book everywhere
read comics
return books to the library unread
The point, my dear reader, is joy.
And yet I swear
I love this earth
That scars and scalds, that burns my feet
And even hell is holy
if it sucks hit da bricks <- litany against sunk cost

now say something beautiful and true <- litany against irony poisoning
we give birds like geese and seagulls a lot of shit but if i had wings i honestly think i would also just be a real asshole about it. i'd dive bomb people and steal their fries and fly out of reach whenever anyone got sick of my shit. none of that noble graceful angel bullshit for me. you made a mistake giving me 2 new limbs, now i have 2 more ways to cause problems.
In Dreams (The Raven Cycle amv)
Since The Raven King comes out today, I wanted to post something special before I dive into the end. I’ve been wasting away months of my life drawing all the scenes for this video, and now it’s finally done. I hope you enjoy it!
y’all owe me
Before the computing era, ILM was the master of oil matte painting, making audiences believe that some of the sets in the original Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogy were real when they weren’t. They were the work of geniuses like Chris Evans, Michael Pangrazio, Frank Ordaz, Harrison Ellenshaw and Ralph McQuarrie ! Forever thank you, to their handmade art and the work of their colleagues, that made us dream of impossible worlds and fantastic places across Earth and the Universe.
I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard
