Hello Good Souls,

This is my first time reaching out to kind hearts on the intern to help me. I am a senior at a Liberal Arts Institution and like million of other students in America, I’ve found myself in a desperate financial situation. Although this is my last year of college, I am not able to go to back to school due to unpaid tuition. I’ve worked so hard to finish school, and I would not wish to stop now that the finish line is so near. All donations, big or small will be appreciated. Coming to the US at age 15, all I ever wanted, beside learning English, was to go to college and eventually help those who were not fortunate enough to get an education.

Thank you general mother, Harriet, for your courage and selflessness, After escaping slavery you made dangerous attempts to returned to different plantations to help free other slaves, you did this over a course of 16 years disguised as a crazy old lady, you would sing songs with hidden messages to tell slaves to prepare to escape. You would also sing to the slaves on their way to freedom to help them overcome their fear of being caught, you helped free over 700 men, women & children. You've done this and so much more, you died broken, in pain and poor. You deserve to be respected, acknowledged, and honored. Thank you for your services, great Ancestor. ❤🖤💚
