What these TERFS are pissed off about is that he showed how disingenuous y'all are when you go "omg that trans athlete hit a ball really hard and it hurt a cis women" because when you look into it cis women even on their team hit harder then them. We’ve never seen a presidential administration weaponize government to the extent of Donald Trump--both by rewarding his supporters and punishing his “enemies.” And what we saw Monday sums it up perfectly. Trump had his DOJ arrest a Democratic member of Congress on BS charges of assaulting an ICE officer while he rewarded the family of MAGA terrorist Ashli Babbitt--who was killed while storming the Capitol on Jan. 6--with $5 million of your tax dollars. This should make your blood boil—because it makes mine! The arrest of New Jersey Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver is as House Democratic leaders led by Hakeem Jeffries wrote in a statement, “extreme, morally bankrupt and lacks any basis in law or fact.” The charge arises from the May 9th visit by herself and two other New Jersey members of Congress to an ICE facility in Newark. A scuffle broke out when the ICE agents suddenly arrested Newark Mayor Ras Baraka for allegedly trespassing. Videos show McIver being pushed by ICE agents and saying on video about one agent, “He just assaulted me.” There is also video of incidental contact between McIver and an armed ICE agent in tactical gear.

After the incident, Trump officials went on TV claiming that McIver “body slammed” an ICE agent and the video would back that up. It did not—that was a lie. Yet Trump’s US Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba gleefully claimed on Monday McIver had “assaulted, impeded, and interfered with law enforcement” and charged her with a federal crime. This is not the first fabricated charge by the Trump regime versus a Democrat. On Monday, Habba dropped the trespassing charge against Mayor Baraka, claiming it was “for the sake of moving forward.” In reality, as the evidence showed, Baraka was arrested on public property outside the ICE facility. You can’t trespass on public property—especially when you’re the Mayor of the city! The arrest of McIver follows an alarming pattern from convicted felon Trump over his first four months of utilizing the power of the federal government to target his critics and perceived enemies. We’ve seen Trump’s rogue regime arrest a judge in Wisconsin and the Mayor of Newark, begin a criminal investigation into NY Attorney General Tish James plus threaten to prosecute the Mayor of Chicago and the governor of New Jersey. Trump and his minions have also opened formal investigations into media outlets critical of him, the Democratic fundraising platform Act Blue, law firms, universities, people who used to work in the Trump regime but refused to lie that the 2020 election was stolen and more. As Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ)--who was with Rep. McIver at the ICE facility --told me last week, she expected Trump to charge her or McIver. Not because either did anything wrong but because as she noted the Trump regime is “out of control” with their “weaponization of law enforcement.” She rightly warned, “no one is safe form this administration.” 

Something’s not adding up here: The Trump DOJ goons ordered the bogus arrest of Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) while giving a $5M reward to the family of the late domestic terrorist Ashli Babbitt.

Police noted Benincasa’s internet search history included terms like “rape games” and “child porn T-shirt.” -Carl “Sargon of Akkad” Benjamin: failed UKIP candidate, noted racist and homophobe and, based on a 2014 video where he says “"I can be quoted as saying you can fuck young boys. -Adam Hageman: this former Trump aide and Turning Point USA event coordinator is now serving a 5.5 year prison sentence after being busted as part of a ring of child pornographers sharing their filth via an encrypted Telegram chat, where he told other paedos he “preferred children aged 12 to 16;” was frustrated when COVID shutdowns prevented him from seeing children at urinals in public restrooms; and suggested to the group that they “find a dad with a young kid he will rent out to us” so that he could begin “crossing out fantasies.”  -Benjamin Hannam: This 22-year-old former Met police officer is facing charges for belonging to National Action - a proscribed terror group - and (of course!) for also being in possession of child pornography.  He trial is set for March 2021. -Aidan Harding: This 20-year-old Pittsburgh-based Patriot Front supporter was already on police radar for his collection of 20 firearms & his online posts proclaiming his “interest” in “mass casualty events” along with his hobby of passing out anti-semetic flyers in Jewish neighborhoods. -Ian Hargreaves: 66-year-old Leeds resident and avid child pornography collector who got caught policing investigating death threats he made against BBC presenters peppered with racially abusive language. -Andrew Hazelton: this 28-year-old Portland, Maine resident and shining member of NSC-131 (National Socialist Club/Anti-Communist Action) pled guilty to child pornography charges after being found in possession of dozens of kiddie porn photos after police detained him for pointing a stun gun at a co-worker.  Oh, and then there was also the time he tried to get nude selfies from a 10-year-old girl.

-Thomas Leech: this self-professed nazi from Preston, UK “filled a void” in his lonely, pathetic life by encouraging acts of violence against Jews and Muslims online. His other hobby?  Making and collecting “indecent images” of children.

-Gavin Leist: British National Party member and dedicated child pornographer.

- Aylson Proenca Doyle Linhares: a 58-year old multimillionaire, Holocaust denier, homophobe, and obsessive collector of Nazi memorabilia and firearms is arrested in his home after being accused of raping and molesting multiple children in his Rio de Janeiro neighbourhood. 

-James Mason: Decades-long self-described neo-nazi, author of white supremacist terrorist manual, spiritual leader of white supremacist terror group Atomwaffen Division, and child pornographer, who was convicted of such in 1991 and then again convicted of menacing in a case involving child sexual exploitation a few years later. 

-Sean Michael McHugh: This Auburn, CA. Proud Boy’s shameful past came to light after he was arrested for participating in the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill insurrection. Turns out he has a long rap sheet with including auto theft, fencing stolen cameras, and drug possession.  Oh, and then there was that time in 2009 when he took a plea deal after being charged with drugging and raping a 14-year-old child; McHugh wound up pleading guilty to “Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor” and “Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor/Threat on a Minor” and spending 210 days in jail after prosecutors agreed to drop the “Forcible Rape” and “Rape by Use of Drugs” charges he was facing.  Which made his comments to the Capitol Hill police he was assaulting about them “protecting pedophiles” more than a bit ironic.

-Leigh McMillan: 46-year-old EDL leader, presently serving a 17-year prison sentence for child grooming and serial sexual assault of a prepubescent girl, beginning when she was just 10 years old.

-Michael McQueenie: This EDL member was caught in the act of raping a 14-year-old girl with learning difficulties by her father. 

-Terrence Merryfield: This English Democrats supporter thought he was grooming two six-year-olds online into having sex with him, but was surprised to discover the children were actually adult police officers, who later found over 1000 child porn images in Merryfield’s possession. 

-Brett Moses: This EDL member travelled all the way to Canada to meet the 13-year-old girl he had been grooming online, only to discover she was really an undercover cop.  

-Mark Nolan: This 37-year-old neo-nazi, “international terrorist and paedophile” (aka Mark Wolf aka Mark Peppard) was jailed for ten years after being arrested in Dublin for trying to smuggle firearms components, including silencers, into Ireland. Police also discovered child pornography on his four mobile phones, including the former National Front member sexting teenage girls, along with a Sonnerand nazi flag, flic knives, and military gear This English nazi was arrested by Irish police in Dublin, who found him in posession of bomb-making materials and over 250,000 images of child pornography. -Stephen Parshall: 36-year-old Boogaloo Boy, suspected terrorist currently facing terror charges, and according to materials found by the FBI on his cell phone and an interview with his step-daughter, a child rapist and child pornographer. 

-Stephen Payne: SDL member who groomed and raped a 13-year-old girl. 

-Liam Pinkham: North West Infidel, British Freedom Fighter, child rapist. -Enoch Powell: former UK MP, racist firebrand, and accused paedophile network member

-Roderick Malcolm Rowley: British National Party candidate and convicted child pornographer. -Mark Ryley: Proud Britain First, Infidels, and Nick Griffen supporting, currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for raping girls as young a six over a period spanning decades. 

-James Shand: Now that this convicted child sex offender is no longer able to groom 13-year-old girls on the internet (or adult police officers posing as 13-year-old girls!), James has taken to attending secretive events held by the white supremacist Patriotic Alternative.

-Jesse Shenk: This 31-year-old splits his free time between hanging anti-semitic banners from highway overpasses with the Goyin Defense League and grooming 14-year-old girls online.  Well, grooming police officers posing as 14-year-old girls, as Shenk found out when he was arrested after traveling to Klemeth, CA. to fuck the person he had been sending photos of himself performing sex acts to.

-Simon Sheppard: This notorious Holocaust denier, racist, and far-right extremist is now also a convicted paedophile for attempting to trick four teenagers into having sex with him in what he described to them as a “sexperiment.” 

-Ian Siree: British National Party candidate whose child pornography collection was discovered by police searching his home in connection with the murder of a takeaway delivery driver by Siree’s son James. -Chris Simcox: Minutemen Militia leader and accused child molester

-Melinda Smith: (aka Mercedes Carerra) This porn actress - a frequent guest on Proud Boys founder Gavin McInness’; a veteran Gamergate promoter; and a staunch defender of her dear friend, Proud Boy/January 6th insurrectionist Joe Biggs - may have seen her porn career come to a crashing halt after her prepubescent daughter told police that she and her partner Jason Whitney (aka  Daemon Cins) sexually abused her repeatedly over four months. Police suspect the couple may have sexually assaulted other victims as well. 

-Kevin Strom: National Vanguard leader & convicted child pornographer

-Charles Sutherland: this Takoma Park, MD elementary school librarian and bachelor with no children, nieces, or nephews of his own caught the attention of police after spray-painting GROOMER on public libraries during Pride week. Searching his home, police found several diapers, children’s dolls, a realistic, child-sized doll in his bed, and (wait for it!) - CHILD PORNOGRAPHY ON HIS LAPTOP!

-James Andrew Swindlehurst: North West Infidel, White Man marcher and serial child rapist whose sex crimes against children spanned a five-year period.  -”T” this 20-something Dane was often seen publicly as part of the security team for Danish Islamophobe and bigot Rasmus Paludan, who must’ve seen something in the young man, whom he assigned to coach his youth football (soccer) team while T was (and continues to be as of this writing) the principal suspect in several child sexual abuse cases under investigation by police. Which casts T’s offers to massage teen players and Paludan’s institution of a club rule that all players had to “change and shower together as a team” after T began coaching them in a different light. 

- Jacek Tchorzewski: This associate of the nazi terror group  Sonnenkrieg Division thought it clever to travel through an international airport with child pornography and necrophila porn, along with white supremacist extremist material, on the hard drive of his laptop. He was wrong.

-Dave Todeschini: this QAnon stalwart has some strong opinions on which politicians and celebrities are/are not pedophiles. He himself pled guilty to sexual assault in 1999 for sodomizing an 8-year-old boy.

-Ryan Utterback: This 29-year-old Kansas City resident had two hobbies: lobbying the local school board to ban LGBTQ+ literature like Alison Bechdel’s award-winning Fun Home from school libraries & grooming and molesting children.  At least, if the charges against him for fondling a 12-year-old girl and showing porn to a four-year-old turn out to be true. Which they will.

-Harry Vaughn: When this Sonnenkreig Division recruiter was arrested on terror charges, police also recovered two videos of young boys being raped.

-Ruben Verastigui: when Ruben wasn’t busy designing social media ads for Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaigns or doing digital media work for anti-choice groups and the GOP, he liked to unwind by collecting and watching videos of babies being raped. Videos where the babies screamed while being violated were “his favorite” he told fellow pedophiles in an encrypted Telegram chat group. Verastigui is now serving a 12-year-prison sentence for possession of child porn. -Trevor Vinson: Trevor was as devoted to supporting the EDL, Britain First, and Jayda Fransen as he was to repeatedly raping a three-year-old girl over a period of months  and recording his sexual assaults on his phone. 

-Andrew Paul Wells: This British National Party member’s rape of a child was uncovered when the girl’s mother discovered pornographic photos of her child taken by Wells.  

-Paul Whiteside: 47-year-old Lincolnshire EDL leader & convicted child groomer & child abductor. 

-Jason Whitney(aka Daemon Cins): This 43-year-old “close friend” of Proud Boys founder Gavin McInness’ and Proud Boy leader/January 6th insurrection organizer Joe Biggs - made his living producing porn videos of his partner and fellow far-right extremist Melinda Smith (aka Mercedes Carerra). That is until they decided to sexually abuse Smith’s prepubescent daughter over a four-month period and she told the police. Police suspect the couple may have sexually assaulted other victims as well.

-Matthew Stephen Raymond Woodward: This EDL member was sacked from his job after his child pornography collecting hobby became public knowledge

-Amos Yee: The Singaporean blogger and apparent friend of Andy Ngo got in hot water with authorities for posting Islamophobic rants but also for grooming a 14-year-old girl, receiving a six-year sentence. Yee has also posted several pro-pedophilia missives online, prior to being incarcerated.

-Milo Yiannopoulos: Transphobe, anti-immigrant trash bag, & (while not convicted of child molestation) on the record as a pro-pedophilia advocate  -Beate Zschäpe: This member of the German neo-nazi terror group NSU had her child pornography charges dropped after prosecutors concluded that they were not nearly as significant as the charges she faced for murdering ten people in a string of terror attacks across the country. 

So many bizarro hot takes about First Nations people only make sense if you see “Native” as a quirky little ethnic category that you put down on a census and not, you know, a type of citizenship you can have from one of several sovereign fucking nations that we have treaties with. Like. “They’re only 2% Cherokee” – huh, interesting, tell me, what is the genetic requirement for Cherokee Nation citizenship? Spoiler alert, there fucking isn’t one, and almost all of the tribes which do have a blood quantuming requirement for citizenship had that concession extracted by their colonial conquerors at gunpoint.

Like. Imagine pulling this shit today. Imagine if the US invaded France, and forced their entire population into a reservation somewhere in eastern Slovakia. Imagine if the government of France signed treaties to try and guarantee some small remainder of rights for French citizens in that reservation. And then imagine if US citizens constantly hemmed and hawed about whether the legitimate, elected French government of this reservation should have the ability to continue to govern its own citizens, especially given the fact that not everyone in that reservation is even very ethnically Gaulish… I mean, can someone who’s only 2% French by blood really be considered a French citizen? Shouldn’t we make efforts to ensure that their children can’t continue to claim to be French, or be governed by the French legal jurisdiction?

The whole thing is just such wildly ludicrous propaganda about the nature and purpose of tribal sovereignty, and it is mind-blowing how many people have completely bought into it.

It often feels like mainstream acceptance of queer people, particularly trans and nonbinary people, is contingent on there being few of us. When I was a kid witnessing arguments about gay marriage, statistics about LGBTQ people were so often presented in such a way as to reassure everyone else that we are not dangerous because we are rare. "It's not going to cause societal collapse ... because such a small percentage of people are gay."

And conservative rhetoric against queer people, particularly trans people, which explicitly refers to us as a "social contagion," really underscores that any perceived "increase" in sexual or gender diversity will be seen as a threat. If queer people are permitted to exist, we must be aberrant and isolated. If we are normal and natural and commonly occurring, it is because something has gone terribly wrong.

So. Forgive me if I bristle at the well-meaning argument that "these trans athlete bans are ridiculous, they're only going to affect a few dozen people!" I understand where they're coming from. But I think trans people should be free and abundant.
