We aren't Weimar Germany, nor Germany under the Nazis. Neither of those situation included a government so blatantly corrupt. Neither had the lawlessness, the utter comtempt for the courts and rule of law that is exhibited by tRump and the Republicunts.

We are the world's first long established democratic and free society that is devolving into a pre-broken autocratic absurdity of a nation. We have centuries of precedent being discarded for a venal and incompetent travesty that is supported by people who will not only not benefit, they will suffer just like all the ones they hate. We are "1984" and "Brazil" fused into one.

"Land of the Free". Provided you're white, obedient, and accept every lie the ruling powers spew out. Free until the definition of "wrong" and "illegal" expands to encompass you too.

And it's all there. Openly displayed. Hitler had the "Night of the Long Knives" to purge the SA when he no longer needed them as his secret allies who did the brutal, dirty work out on the streets for him. In the U.S nothing is hidden. ICE gladly violates laws for the administration with no attempt at dissemination, no need to dissemble. All these magatt "patriots" cheering on the destruction of the Constitution that is the foundation of the United States' freedom.

Somewhere in Hell Hitler and Himmler and Goebbels are saying "Hang on. Didn't these people fight against us and sacrifice over 400k lives to defeat fascism? Wasn't it these people?"

47 is being stopped by the Constitution, not “activist judges.”

Remember, they are revoking visas and Green Cards for social media posts.

It's not about deporting criminals. The Trump administration believes the executive branch has the final say on who is and isn't allowed in the country. Enacting the Alien Enemies Act during peace time is proof of this.

They want you gone unless you pay for Trump's golden visa.

This doesn't automatically mean that it's MAGA republicans ruining people's mail in hopes of ruining Kamala ballots, but considering that it's MAGAts who's been saying that they're going to be doing this I think it's pretty much safe to say that it's them. (Source. Source.)

The website where you request your ballots from should update saying that they got your ballot. Otherwise you can call them. If all else fails you can just go there and ask. If they didn't then you can vote. If you did then you're good. (And I highly, highly suggest that you do these things!)

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
