As You All Probably Know I’m Obsessed With Korean Skincare, But The Focus Of Kbeauty Always Seems To

As you all probably know I’m obsessed with Korean skincare, but the focus of kbeauty always seems to be focused on hydration and brightening skin, which is great, but I thought I would make a little list of Korean products that are for acne!

Cosrx Pimple Master Patch: $4.79 for 24 patches. These are great for targeting those large, painful pimples without popping them. Put these on the pimple before bed to dry it out!

Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampule: $21.71. This ampule is great because it’s anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory to help kill existing bacteria while prevent more from growing, and it is also super soothing and hydrating so it prevents dryness and irritation!

Mizon AHA Peeling Serum: $13.96. This serum will help unclog pores by sloughing off dead skin cells before they can clog you pores! A great chemical exfoliation as opposed to scrubs that can actually cause more acne. Make sure to follow directions and only use 3 to 4 times a week!

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask: $16.88 for 10 sheet masks. These masks are gonna help soothe redness and irritation caused by acne while also hydrating the skin.

Banila Co Clean It Zero Purity: $20.50. This is a great cleanser for sensitive acne prone skin. It’s hypoallergenic and will help get rid of excess oils, which can cause breakouts.

So there you have it! Let me know if you guys want me to do more of these, or if you’ve tried any of the products! Also I know there are a few typos in the picture, sorry!

okay so my boyfriend is talking about wanting to eat me out. i’m a virgin and i’m worried i might taste weird. what can i do to taste good for him? also any tips for being in a sexual relationship ? thank you.

This is a fun new step in your relationship! Remember that if you’re not ready it’s ok to say so and wait. And if you are ready then that’s also good.

Tasting better

🌼-Eating the right thingsEating certain foods can make you smell and taste better. The big ones for this are pineapples, cranberries, yogurt, celery, strawberries, apple, and parsnips. But especially cranberries (you can just drink cranberry juice you don’t have to eat them it works the same)

🌹-Drink water!!Drinking water is major. It cleans out your system and removes toxins and just makes you healthier in general

🌼- Change your underwearThis might not apply to you but if you don’t already change your underwear everyday you should start. That way your pussy isn’t sitting in anything from the day before that could make you smell worse, taste worse, and put you on track for a UTI or yeast infection

🌹-Shower!Along the lines of the last one, hygiene is super important if you want to look smell and taste your best. Don’t use any harsh soaps usually just water does the trick or a little gentle body wash (go for unscented it’s better for your skin anyways)

🌼- ShaveThis is a totally optional tip and you by no means have to do it but it can be beneficial if you do it before hand (just be careful and don’t do it all the time because it’s better for your vaginal health to have some bush) even just trimming works that way you can feel better without hair in your way or getting in his mouth

Sexual tips and tricks (specifically for getting eaten out)

🌹-ForeplayNo one wants to just jump right in and get it over with unless it’s a quickie before work or something. If you’re in for a long night and you know it then draw it out make him wait or have him make you wait. It makes is a million times better to be super riled up I p r o m i s e. Best orgasm you’re ever gonna have is when you’ve been building up to it for an hour or two. Seems like a long time but never underestimate the enjoyment of making out and the simple joy of figuring out what each other likes

🌼-Show him some loveYour man is gonna be much more willing to do things with you if you show him how much you want him to and what you want to do with him too. Remember that everyone basically thinks only of themselves most of the time so be sure to focus on him a bit before he goes to town with you. This can be anything from kissing or marking or whatever makes him happy.

🌹-Be VocalTell him what you like and don’t like. Don’t hold it back because you don’t want to embarrass him. Both of you will have a much better time if you’re open and understanding. If you like something don’t hold back. Tell him. If you don’t like something speak up. He’s eating you out because he wants you to feel good so tell him if something needs to change to get there. And above all if you become uncomfortable and don’t want to continue, TELL HIM. It’s ok to stop and it’s ok to wait. You don’t need to take this step if you’re just doing it because you feel like you should. Wait a bit and think it over some more. It’s your body and and only you know when you’re ready.

Hope that helped! Shoot me back an ask or a dm and let me know if you have anymore questions I’m always happy to help :)

My Worst Fear On A Test? The Feeling Of Getting An Exam Paper In Front Of Me, And Not Being Able To Remember

My worst fear on a test? The feeling of getting an exam paper in front of me, and not being able to remember anything, while back at home when reading the book I thought I knew everything. Sounds familiar? In that case, it may help to try these techniques. They help you practice retrieving information, rather than being familiar with the concepts you are studying. These have helped me loads, and I’m actually pretty convinced that these techniques are better than many others I used to apply, like rereading and regular summarizing. Hopefully they work for others as well :)

1. Summarise… in questions.

How do you do it? Instead of writing down facts, you convert facts to questions. Underneath the these, you answer them in your own words. This is technically the baby of summaries and flashcards. Don’t do this with every small fact, but rather convert several to one question, and omit the less important things always. You’re not going to remember every detail and most teachers don’t require you to (of course if they do, study them lol) .

Why would you do it? It is proven that asking yourself questions about the material enhances understanding and remembrance. Additionally, you can instantly quiz yourself on the material. Only reading your summary is not going to help you much with remembering, but actively retrieving information is! Also, when you’re reading and summarising the textbook throughout the semester, you’re already getting your study material for the test ready => less stress and work for when you gotta study.

2. Teach your peer / pet / pillow

How do you do it? Explain key concepts (many books provide these at the beginning or end of the chapter) to anyone who wants to listen. Don’t have anyone who wants to? Your cat probably won’t mind (but who knows what cats want tbh) and your reflection is always listening to you as well.

Why would you do it? Explaining things to other people requires you to really understand what you are talking about, and you will more quickly find holes in your knowledge once you’re not able to explain it. Additionally, you’re probably gonna have to explain stuff on tests so it’s good practice.

3. Re-do your homework

How do you do it? Pretty obvious. Well, don’t write every answer down in detail again! For maths it may be useful to only tackle the most important exercises again, while for history you may want to spend an hour to just go over them all and test in your head if you can form a sensible answer.

Why would you do it? Going over the homework is always a good idea because 1) the theory is practically applied in those questions, so you have to think about what you have learned, enhancing integration, and 2) teachers are lazy and will often reuse or slightly modify textbook questions.

Lose Weight with These 4 Treadmill Workouts

Lose Weight With These 4 Treadmill Workouts

-       Interval Training

For a total of 5 minutes overall, this is a great routine.  Begin with a 4% incline and set the speed to a slow jog; complete for a minute, then set the incline to 6% and adjust speed to a speed walk or run for another minute.  For the next minute, go back down to the 4% incline and lightly jog for a minute, then adjust it back up again to 6% and a higher rate of speed.  Complete the final minute back down on the 4% incline and walking/slow jog level.

-       The 30 Minute Routine

Warm up for 5 minutes by walking at a fairly brisk pace with a minimal incline.  After the first 5 minutes, continue switching for the remaining 25 minutes by performing a speed walk or jog at a 2 to 3% incline for a minute; for the next 2 minutes slow down slightly to a faster walk with no incline.  Repeat until you complete 20 minutes, then cool down for 5 minutes with a regular-paced walk with no incline.

-       Intense 20 Minutes

If you want something that will get your heart revving, set the speed to a level that has you running for the first 5 minutes; halfway in, set the incline to 3% for one minute.  The next 2 minutes, perform a full-out run while keeping the incline at zero.  For the next minute slow down to a brisk jog and raise the incline to 6%.  For the final 2 minutes, maximize your speed as much as possible.

-       Hill/Mountain Workout

This is a great exercise to build endurance: for the 2 minutes, set to a walking pace, and adjust incline between 9 to 12% based on your skill level.  For 2 minutes following this, keep speed the same but raise the incline to 15%.  The following 3 minutes, raise your speed but adjust incline to 0%.  For the final 3 minutes, set to a fast walking pace again, but raise the incline to 15%, then lower it to 9% to finish out.

These are some excellent workouts to use with a treadmill.  It would also serve you to check out some treadmill reviews online, in order to figure out what particular brand would meet your training needs.  Have any other favorite treadmill routines? Let us hear about them!

Skincare tips + some myth busting (acne edition) -pt1.

These are not your usual “drink water, moisturize, get plenty of sleep” shit. These are real stuff that worked for me, and they could work for you too. Keep in mind that everyone is different tho. Ur skin might not react as well as mine did.

1. It does not matter which cleanser you use

As long as it doesn’t irritate you and isn’t overly drying, it ok. Don’t bother investing in cleansers with active substances such as benzoyl peroxide or glycolic/salicylic acid, cleanesers simply do not sit on your skin for long enough for those to work. Save that money.

2. You don’t really have to change your pillowcase everyday, ya kno.

Acne bacteria are anaerobic. They won’t survive on your pillowcase anyway. Same goes for your pijamas, bra etc. if you have back acne.

3. Speaking of back acne, wear cotton and try not to carry too heavy rucksacks.

And for the love of god, don’t wear synthetic clothes AND carry heavy luggage at the same time. Will irritate you af. Synthetics do not absorb sweat so it just accumulates on your skin the whole day. Icky.

4. EXFOLIATION

But not the mechanical kind. Damages skin. Get yourself a good enzyme or acid peel, or a cream that contains them. Makes your skin so soft and nice and really helps with getting rid of blackheads and preventing blocked pores. As a bonus, gets rid of flaky skin, if you have it. There are many kinds of acids used for chemical exfoliation, mainly categorized as alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids. They say alphas are gentler, and therefore better for sensitive skin, but also less effective for acne. I’ve tried and liked both, since I don’t have sensitive skin. Both worked for me. Do some research on this to find the best acid to use on your skin. Very important: exfoliate at night and use sunscreens!!! Exfoliating substances make your skin more sensitive to sunlight!

4. Invest in a chemical peel.

Get it performed by a dermatologist. For me, doing it once a month for three or four months saved my skin FOREVER.

5. Ditch lemon on your face…

…and apple cider vinegar. And baking soda. And sugar scrubs. And olive oil. The first two are too acidic. Baking soda is too basic. Sugar scrubs are too abrasive. Olive oil’s chemical composture isn’t suitable for acne prone skin (too much oleic acid. Ur oily skin already has enough of it. Search for oils high in linoleic acid if you want to use oils as moisturizers). Raw honey is good, apparently. Cinnamon and turmeric too. Stay vary with turmeric because according to some studies it makes skin more sensitive to sunlight.

6. You don’t really have to use toner. Invest in some hyaluronic acid serum if you want a middle step between cleansing and moisturizing.

Hyaluronic acid is an amazing humectant, and makes skin sooo well hydrated. I prefer to first apply hyaluronic to hydrate and then seal that water in with some oil-based moisturizer. That + regular exfoliation = soft skin!!!!

7. Retinoids

I used Differin on my back and it cleared me up sooo well and also got rid of my hyperkeratosis pilaris. I had quite bad bacne, and after three months they are pretty much gone. Unfortunately I’m still waiting for post-inflammatory erithema (red marks) to fade buuuut hey, I have no more acne! You should also probably go to your dermatologists to get more information on which retionid you need. Don'tforget to wear sunscreen while you’re on it. Also: you don’t have to exfoliate while on retinoid. You can, if your skin is not sensitive, but it’s not particularly necessery.

8. Topical antioxidants

Literally the most important and least known thing on this list. Lemme get a bit scienc-y.

All acne begin their journey as blocked pores. Blocked pores are those white, bumpy, skin-colored little shits below the skin surface. The most important thing you can do to prevent your acne is to prevent blocked pores. Pores are blocked as a result of sebum oxidation and consequent formation of squalene peroxide, the most comedogenic substance on earth. Bam. You have clogged pore, the perfect breeding ground for acne bacteria, which then triggers inflammatory response by your body and you get a red zit.

But this red zit would’ve never happened if your sebum never oxidized. Substances that prevent oxidation are - you guess it - antioxidants. So get yourself a good product with vitamin c, vitamin e, niacin(b3), or green tea (green tea is especially good, because it also reduces sebum output. It’s not enough to just place teabag on your skin, it wil just sit on your skin and won’t penetrate. Buy a cream). This is where you splurge, ladies. Antioxidants are also good as an anti-aging agent and serve as a protection from envirotmental pollution. Pays to invest in them.

Bonus tip

Sudocrem + tea tree oil = spot treatment!!!

Ok so this is it for now. I hope some of you will find this advice useful. I wanted to include diet/supplement tips in this post too but since this text turned out to be hella long I decided to leave it for another time. Stay happy pals!

Inner Ramblings

Right now this is just anything that comes to mind since I'm a complete noob at tumblr. I've been hearing about it for years but I never really felt like I had anything to say. Well all that has changed now and I figured I'd see what all the hype about tumlr is really about. Anyway don't take anything I say too seriously for now...I'll probably change it later when I become more comfortable with this website.
