Greater Mouse Deer With This Animal, I Introduce You To The Last Genus Of The Family (Tragulus) And The

Greater Mouse Deer With this animal, I introduce you to the last genus of the family (Tragulus) and the one with the most members of the whole family (5). Classification can be a little bit confusing and I'm still learning.

For now, I can tell that this family (Tragulidae, commonly known as Mouse Deer) is composed of ten members that are classified into three different genus. I wish scientists explain things in an easier way. For sure, more people would get involved. Anyway, this is the largest Mouse Deer of the genus, closely matched by Williamson's mouse-deer (which we will be talking about soon). Also nocturnal and solitary as its relatives. It is widespread in Indonesia and part of Southeast Asia.

Its status is stable, however, loss of habitat and hunting are their main threats. if you have something to add, Awesome!. I'm not an expert so anything that can enrich the post is very welcome. *Photo Reference Credits: ronnienl

As I Mentioned To You Before, I Am Planning To Do A Digital Sticker Album To Collect The Animals In Order

As I mentioned to you before, I am planning to do a digital sticker album to collect the animals in order to sponsor my work. I am in the works on the layout but especially on the functioning and interactivity of the album. The idea is to publish different albums that will be divided by the order of mammals. It will be a little basic at the beginning (but nicely done) but once the album is running and financially viable the idea in the short run is to make an app where people can trade stickers and collect them all. Other things I want to do after the base is more solid will be a book having experts writing the texts of the animals. Let me know your thoughts.

Tapirus terrestris spegazzinii

Is the third subspecies of the Lowland Tapir. Found in the south of Brazil in Matto Grosso, Bolivia, Paraguay, and the North of Argentina, in the Chaco zone which is declared Endangered. However, as the animal also inhabits other countries, is hard to assess its status. What differentiates this one from the other subspecies s that its coat is lighter than the subspecies Tapirus terrestris colombianus (The one I showed the last time) and lighter than the Tapirus terrestris terrestris which will be covered in the next post of tapirs. Again, in English texts, this animal doesn't have subspecies and even on Wikipedia, there is no English translation from the text in Spanish. However, Spanish or Portuguese (languages that are talked about where the animal lives) have the four I mentioned. I am rather inclined to believe more in the people who have studied the animal closer and have been around it more. To be clear, I am not an expert. ____________________________________________________

The Digital Sticker Album Is Almost Done. I Will Begin With Perissodactyla Order Which Contains The Rhinos,

The digital sticker album is almost done. I will begin with Perissodactyla order which contains the rhinos, horses, and tapirs families. Is looking good and the mechanics are working. More of it soon. Let's see the animal of this week. Māui Dolphin This is a subspecies of Hector's Dolphin (The one I showed you the last time). Also, live uniquely on New Zealand coasts, but more specifically in a very small range of the West of the North Island of the country. Sadly, less than 60 animals exist in the wild, making it the most endangered dolphin in the world. There are several programs that are in action in order to protect it from extinction and the results have been somehow optimistic. Fishing, Toxoplasmosis (an infection caused by a parasite called Toxoplasma), Brucellosis (a Bacteria), Oil and gas operations, and Climate change are the reasons why this dolphin is on the brink of extinction. It's always sad to see an animal fading away. I hope the programs that are working to recover their numbers work. Here is a link to one of them in case you want to know more. The Last List Of Wild Boar Subspecies. As I Mentioned In Previous Post, This Is A Large Subspecies With

The last list of wild boar subspecies. As I mentioned in previous post, this is a large subspecies with 16 validated. Although, there are some debates since some other studies recognise up to 32 subspecies.

Ussuri boar, Korean Boar, Amur Boar, Manchurian Boar It is the largest subspecies of all. Can be found in Eastern China, Ussuri and Amur bay.

Formosan Wild boar, Taiwan Wild Boar When winter comes the Formosan wild boar migrates into lower elevetaion areas. They don’t posses sweat glands therefore roll themselves into muddy wetlands to keep them cool and get rid of parasites. It’s population remain stable.

Trans-Baikal boar, Siberian Wild Boar Can be found in the Lake Baikal region, Transbaikalia, northern and northeastern Mongolia.

Ryukyu boar Can be found in the Ryukyu Islands, in Japan.

Northern Chinese boar, Chinese boar It’s have been found significant variations within this subspecies, which make possible that there are actually four subspecies involved:

- North Vietnamese wild pigs are raised in Ba Vi , Hanoi - Phu Yen boar is raised at the rare animal farm in Hoa Khanh and Khanh Hoa - Cat Tien  boars are raised on farms in Can Giuoc , Long An and Dong Nai - Binh Phuoc wild boar in the Southeast region

Banded Pig, Indonesian Wild Boar It is the most basal subspecies having the smallest relative brain size, more primitive dentition, and unspecialised cranial structure.Recently, in the context of the taxonomic revision of the Sus scrofa species , some scholars have questioned its alleged close relationship with the wild boar, to the point of considering its classification as a separate species within the genus Sus ( Sus vittatus ) more correct.

Japanese Boar, White-moustached Pig, Inoshishi, Yama Kujira In Japanese culture it is widely seen as a fearsome and reckless animal. Several words in Japanese referring to recklessness include references to boars. Among hunters in Japan, the boar is a source of admiration, and rural people commonly name their sons after the animal.

My Artwork Featuring All Equine Species And Subspecies Is Now Available In My Store. It's Been About

My artwork featuring all equine species and subspecies is now available in my store. It's been about a year since I began working on horses, so it's satisfying to see it completed. Although they are a well-known and beloved family, there are still some discrepancies among biologists. Questions persist, such as whether the extinct Tarpan should be classified as a species or not, and even the classification of domestic and feral horses. Moreover, it's concerning that four subspecies of this family are already extinct.

Regardless, for those who love horses and those who wish to delve deeper into this captivating family, you can purchase the artwork here:
