Yes I'm assuming that coin collectors existed in whatever time Tangled is bc how unclear in the time period they end up being (plus being a fantasy)

And yes I'm assuming it's a true one and not a magicians coin that Lance found lying around, though I'm not going to brush aside the possibility that Eugene and Lance genuinely thought it was fake.

Oumota Weekend Day 2: Tattoo

Basically, a soulmate tattoo au where the idea is that when you touch your soulmate for the first time, a pattern-like tattoo/mark starts slowly spreading on your skin and will only stop spreading after you touch your soulmate a second time. 

Some people only have a small spot of a pattern while others are completely covered in it.

It took months of Kokichi hiding his soulmate pattern before it reached his jaw and Kaito found out.

I can see how a recent thing I drew could cause some confusion so let me set the record straight:

I DO NOT ship Varidrew. I personally think it’s gross and predatory.

I’m overall not into shipping. So unless it cannon or say I ship it, it’s safe to say I don’t.

Like he’s so pathetic looking because he restarted his gambling addiction lol. I feel like Kiato’s canonical little luck is not talked about enough.

As for 25, I’ve always been a fan of space so Kaito had been on my radar. By chapter two I liked because he punched Shuichi, became friends with him, and then proceeded to of insult Shuichi to his face. In 3 was pretty neutral, he wasn’t showing up and i figured it his fear of ghost was just a plot device to push Maki and Shuichi closer together (I thought Maki was the love-interest-person-thing).

Chapter 4-5 is when I really started liking him. His illness intrigued me and I realized how much of a hypocrite he was. And chapter 5 was when him and Kokichi became my favorite because it was just so cool. (Desperately trying not to turn this into a hanger rant)

I remember going to my sister and going “is it just me or is Kokichi acting cooler than usual?” When it was revealed it was Kaito we found out why.

"The creator definitely didn't put that much thought into it" well then clearly someone else has to and I think I'm the weirdo for the job

I LOVE Seapartist Varian's design. And I wanted to do something with symbolism and Andrew rose fore a while. Originally I wanted something where the rose would cover Varian's face but I decided not to. Then I thought it would be fun to make parallels to what Andrew did to Cassandra, Also I don't know who needs to hear this but this IS NOT ship art.

I had a hard time adding the pattern, I didn't know where to add them. They aren't my favorite but theyll do. I added the lanterns just for lighting and contrast tbh

The hardest part of this drawing was definitely the foreshorting and the colors. I drew the pose before the background and had NO idea where to place them. I was thinking to just make it a one off sketch until I realized I could put them on a balloon. Here's some sketches.
