WOW WOW WOW
complicated relationships with your parents are like. you cut up fruit and bring it to my room without me asking. i can't remember the last time you told me that you were proud of me. you told me i wasn't good enough for you but i'm not even good enough for myself. your hugs feel like coming home. i can't tell you anything that happens in my life. i doubt myself every day because of something you said to me when i was eight. would you like to hear about my day? please don't ask me about my day. i miss you even though you're in the next room. i wish we didn't live together. i've never loved or resented anyone as much as i've loved and resented you. are you okay? are we okay? are we ever going to be okay?

I was reading about Francis Crick and James Watson’s discovery of DNA in 1953…and admiring Santiago’s beautiful drawings of neurons…and Alan Hodgkin et Andrew Huxley’s mathematical discovery of calculating how action potentials propagates along a neuron…I couldn’t help but think how romantic it all is. To me it’s so interesting learning about the process of discovery. It’s incredible because all these people were just like us—students. It’s romantic because it’s human—a human experience—an insatiable thirst for knowledge, curiosity that knows no end. A perseverance to succeed. The ultimate quest to generate a novel idea before anyone else does. How can anyone say that science is not poetic? Science is poetry written in a different language, an esoteric one at that. But poetry nonetheless.
Bold of you to assume i need a toxic person in my life. I am independent and I GASLIGHT myself. ✨ON. MY. OWN.✨
If you like the word “queer” reblog.
Reminder that the Gods aren’t always going to answer you, aren’t always going to be there for everything. There will be times where you don’t get an answer or any communication at all with them. They don’t hate you or anything like that, it’s just that like with any relationship there will be days where you hear nothing and don’t see them at all because life’s just like that.
Request: Queer love as something holy. Being alienated from religion and finding your own way of worship.

my mother has been worried about all the wrong things
i’m not about to fall in love with a monster, not the way you did
you’re scared i’ll be gullible, malleable like you are,
falling for the tricks my father used, the curl of tongue, the tilted lips
but oh,
can’t you see?
i’m the monster here, born from the same flesh you were mauled by,
my tongue curls and my lips tilt,
you’ve been worried about all the wrong things.
