can't stop thinking about how nora said that because jean and neil resemble each other a lot, if jean had stuck around more, he and andrew would've gotten along pretty well

instead of working on my thesis i just started reading beartown after i saw a really cool quote from the last book

the twins' relationship is one of the most interesting i've ever read. yeah they can't stand each other but they keep close anyways, they don't understand each other very well but they've killed for each other. they are assholes to each other but they will protect each other from others. they hate each other but there's so much love and resentment and maybe in another universe they grow up side by side and nothing bad ever happened to them.
