Anthony Boyle speaks about Scorpius Malfoy (contains minor spoilers!):
Scorpius in the beginning, has grown up in isolation in the Malfoy Manor and hasn’t really spoken to anyone in his peer group - he’s just been alone with his books. Reading about Harry Potter and Albus and all these different people… and suddenly Albus comes into the carriage and it’s the first time he’s ever really socialised with someone from his peer group without a family member/supervisor there, and so he has a bit of a panic. He just wants to be his friend immediately. Rose Granger-Weasley doesn’t take too kindly to him, thinks he’s a bit odd (because he is). But Albus quite likes him, and so the friendship begins from there. (x)
y’all i know we joke about Stan being the dumbass of the group, but he’s actually really perceptive tho
so when Syd first fesses up about kissing Dina without mentioning any names, Stan assumed it was a guy she kissed:
but then when Syd refers to the kiss again without stating the gender of the recipient of that kiss, Stan catches on:
he uses the genderless pronoun here because he realises Syd might not have kissed a guy at all. and you can tell he really did catch onto the nature of Syd’s sexuality because he’s not all that surprised when she finally tells him she doesn’t feel romantic attraction to him:
“I think you lost all interest in this world. You were disappointed and discouraged, and lost interest in everything. So you abandoned your physical body. You went to a world apart and you’re living a different kind of life there. In a world inside you.”
— Haruki Murakami, 1Q84
The old gods do not comprehend artificial light. It collapses their superposition and leaves us wondering about lens flares and multi-exposure, craving answers, unable to accept the reality only artificial eyes can perceive.

you know what I. fucking love about hollow knight. and quietly philosphical life goes on post-apocalypse type media is general (I'm thinking botw and annihilation) is the implication that this has happened before. this story has taken place before. you are not the first. the spirit of this story is indomitable. the empty vessel in greenpath left behind after fighting hornet and the corpses strung up in nosk's lair and the very existence of the broken vessel. siblings who all managed to crawl out of the abyss somehow at some point and succumbed to hallownest. fuck let's go one deeper you could make the argument that every time the player character dies it's the end of another vessel and every new shade reclaimed is another cycle. idk something about being cyclical and persistence even when death is such a pervasive force. you are not the first and you will not be the last. whether that is tragedy remains to be seen. in the meantime you're alive.
first meeting! i always forget what autumn looks like until it’s actually autumn. happy october

Wouldn’t That Be Nifty?” and today it won me a hundred fucking dollars in a poetry contest. so take that neil gaiman
