Punctuating Dialogue

➸ “This is a sentence.”

➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.

➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”

➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”

➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”

➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”

➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.

“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.

“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”

➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”

➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”

However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can ask be “outside”!

➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.

If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)

➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations, dashes typically express—“

“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.

➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.

“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”

So what would happen if you took Mc our beloved protagonist with no idea of chill and some scp staff members to Twisted Wonderland.

It all started in the mirror chambers because the brain cell trio got in trouble again and as things go Mc also did as well. So for detention they had to clean the whole room with no magic.

Mc: What did you do this time Grim?

Grim: It wasn't me!

Deuce: For once he is telling the truth Yuu, coffins just showed up.

Ace: Really new students this late in the year!

Mc: The mirror may have seen something in them that it didn't at first.

Ace: Or they are more inter dimensional aliens like Yuu!

Mc: Fuck off.

*Coffins open* Bright: Ahh what the fuck did I sleep on a log?

Clef: Well I didn't fall asleep in fuck coffin and occult robes or with anyone in this room.

Kondraki: Fuck kidnapped again.

Crowley: *bust open door like a dramatic bird* New students! Ace, Yuu stop trying to kill each other.

Deuce: You guys look like your fucking. *Ace and Yuu got away from each other in record time*

Bright: What are you guys and what do you have against the foundation.

Yuu: 100% magicless dumbasses from a different dimensional.

Crowley: You are in Twisted Wonderland.

Clef: What did I snort last night.

Yuu: Magic mirror take them home.

Ace: Inter dimensional aliens!

After a long explanation on where they are and questions

Mc: It ain't any thing special but it's home for now!

Kondraki: I'm still trying how we got here one minute i'm drink in my office next I'm here with a talking raccoon! Like what the fuck!

Grim: Not a raccoon!

Mc: You still have yet to see an overblot or how Crowley black mails us to do his dirty work.

Clef: Bird man isn't what he seems to be I know this feeling anywhere.

Mc: I have been trying to dig stuff on him but everything end blank it's like every time I find something that could led me back home he appears out of nowhere and gives me work. The book or website goes missing from everywhere including peoples memories.

Bright: Could have he planed you coming here but not us as he seemed quite shocked when we awoke?

Clef: Anyone would be we have PhD's and are in a collage for high school student.

Mc: He was shocked when I came here to tho, but we should go inside and get settled for the night I have school tomorrow.

After a few weeks in Twisted wonderland

It's getting long

Clef: So you all almost died because...

Mc: I fear no bitch

Ace: Yuu lead us into a random student Overblot with saying "free candy is here."

Deuce: And there was no candy.

Grim: I still want the candy we were promised.

Bright: *wheeze* I didn't know they were this dumb!

Mc: But we all lived including the student how overbloted, so this is a win.

Kondraki: Kid get a fucking adult before putting your life in danger and willing. You'er to young to turn into one of us!

Deuce: I mean it's not the first one we fought... but it's one of the first ones that Yuu didn't cause.

Clef: *laughing* You dumbass!

Mc: Help cause. But this one was because of the man eating dog that lives in the forest by Ramshackle or Johnny for short.

Ace: For being man eating he the equivalent of a huge puppy dog.

Who is playing Kingdom Hearts 3, got Memory of Memories and is watching someone play Kingdom Hearts? Me! So that’s what have sparked the idea of Yuu being a keyblade wilder(along with the fanfics I have found with this crossover)

Yuu grew up on Density Island with the trio. So with the four of them on a mission Yuu got hit by a spell that made go unconscious. Next thing they know they are in a world called Twisted Wonderland at a school named Night Raven College, with no gummie phone or ship or anyone that knows about other worlds.

Mc was not able to be placed in a dorm as they fit all forms and none at the same time. They somehow got Grim to be a student with them so now they are a dorm leader and must go to the meetings.

Defeating overblots like it’s a heartless or nobody.

Ace: Yuu what the hell is that?

Mc: It’s a keyblade.

Ace: A what?

Crowley: A keyblade wilder!

Mc: I don’t trust you Crow man!

Ace: How did you deflate ob with such ease?!?

Mc: This is like another Tuesday.

Deuce: What do you do for this to be normal?

Mc at dorm leader meetings would be the best thing ever. They would yell at the other dorm leaders about no inviting Malleus and even give off random facts about different worlds they visited that the Great Seven lived in.

Riddle: That ends my report on what Heartslabyul has been doing.

Crowley: Great job as always Mr. Roseheart. Now Yuu please give us Ramshackle’s report.

Mc: Grim almost lit Ramshackle on fire again, the first years almost died from another overblot again. That’s it, just the normal stuff.

Crowley: Good job Yuu, anything else that happened?

Mc: Oh yeah! I had a nightmare about the Witch of Thorns trying to kill me and my friends again!

Vil: Again? As in another nightmare or she actually tried to kill you and the dream was trauma?

Mc: I can’t tell you.

Azul: How are you still alive?

Mc: I don’t know.

Diasomnia would invite Mc over to training session, the down side is that they have said to everyone that they refuse to go full out. So Mc can’t cast spells or use any cool ability’s, but after ever match they make sure to use a cure spell on their partner. They also have sea salt ice cream after training and offer other people some.

Couch Vargas being impressed that someone like looks like they could could be thrown halfway across campus is so strong and athletic. Like mc can jump 10-15 feet straight in the air, glide, role doge, air doge, jump off walls and run up walls. The only problem they face in gym is the brooms, as they have flown with pixie dust but a broom never.

Mc: *Looking at the broom in their hands*

Jack: What’s the matter Yuu?

Mc: I have flown with pixie dust.. but never a broom. Is it the same as flying with pixie dust or totally different.

Lilia: *suddenly appears* fufufu. I am impressed as most people it is the opposite. But not for the one who holds a keyblade.

Mc: That doesn’t answer my question.

Crewel is really close to not letting Mc in the potion room again. Not that they are reckless no it because they seem to have ingredients in their pockets, and somehow they pull out a healing potion? Mc you are passing potion class but how do they have a potion in their pocket when they have never brew a potion before!?!?

They all become overprotective of mc when one day heartless and nobody’s attack nrc. Mc was the one that ran towards the fight as everyone ran away. Did they get hit a couple times? Yes. Did they stand back up and go back to fighting? Yes. Everyone is shocked with just how powerful Mc is with magic and fighting, and knowing they do this almost everyday with people/things stronger then them. Everyone knows Mc can hold their own they still try to keep Mc safe as possible after the attack.

Walking to Ramshackle with (BB) and Grim, as all three of them had a lovely conversation. As (BB) looks at mc with such love in his eyes as he laughs at one of the magicless human jokes. As mc walks in Ramshackle with Grim they say their goodbyes until the movie night. As mc close the door they let out a sigh as the hit their head on the door.

I notice how he looks at me

But I pretend that I don’t see

It’s easier if I let the tension subside

As mc picked up the novel they were reading, as time passed they got closer to the ending of the book. As they finished reading “And they lived happily ever after.” They had thrown the book half way across the room and it opened to a random page. Mc sat up and petted Grim as he slept peacefully. At they stood up to get the book the thought of (BB) filled their head with the ending of the book.

I’ve seen it in the books I read

Mc picked up the book and put it back on the shelf were it belongs, then headed for their room. Walking in their room they sat at the small table that was littered with papers and books. The perfect got to work finding away home along with trying to ignore the thought of (BB) that plagued their mind. Soon memories of home started to fill their minds. The school they went to where they could disappear into the crowds and find their friends. Talking simply could mess up the simplest words and being ordinary was hard to do.

And what’s the point of falling when I know I’m only stalling?

I’m on the brink of discovery, I think

But what if I’m dreaming?

That’s what it seems like

Hearing a knock at Ramshackle snapped the lost human out of their thoughts. Running down the stairs they stoped in the hallway looking at the door, as thoughts of one day leaving them alone as they would have to leave to go back home. Slowly walking towards the door they put their hands that was shaking on the door handle, then slowly opened it.

‘Cause this boy thinks I’m part of his world

And that new territory is scary

If I turn the handle, am I asking for a scandal?

Should I try to be ordinary?

As (BB) walks in holding some snacks he smiles at Mc not knowing he was causing their heart beat to become much faster. “Let’s go to the main room,” Mc said trying their hardest to sound normal. The duo headed to the common room as (BB) asks, “so what movie are we watching?”

“I couldn’t pick so who about you pick a movie?”

“How about (Random movie title)?”

“Ok that sounds good.”

In the middle of the movie (BB) moved closer to mc.

“This is a good movie... right?”

“Yes it is.”

“Goooood.”

Baaah!

I’ve always been a little odd

The next day you were walking to class with Grim. Looking to see (BB) talking with someone, he also looks up to make eye contact with the love sick perfect. Sending a smile that made the perfect breath become caught in their throat. Quickly they turn around and hurry to a bathroom leaving Grim behind.

Plus, he make me nervous

I hope he can’t tell

Splashing some cool water on their face as their hands shack with every movement, letting out the air that the young human chocked on. Raising their head to look in the mirror thoughts of home filled their head. The smell of (favourite dinner), the awkwardness you would face when the teacher randomly called on them (it hasn’t changed). Home all my wants is to go home.

What is it he sees, in this cluster clump of me?

Or, could it be I’m going crazy?

This isn’t some sweet beginning

After the morning meeting mc started to avoid (BB) thinking if they ignore him the feelings will go away and he will get use to not having them around. It was harder then they thought along with the feeling of emptiness the envied the magicless student heart. After school they sat looking out the window at the stars, putting a hand over their heart tears slowly fell from their eyes filled with loneliness.

Do I rewind? Induce amnesia?

Pretend I didn’t see him?

Succumb to stupid fear?

Or just believe in my heart?

All of the time that they didn’t get to hang out, realization of the past from their world. Mc had never fitted in before it was hard to be ‘normal’ according to society, Twisted Wonderland was the first time they have ever felt ‘normal’. No one judge people based on weird quirks that people may have. Picking up their phone they sent a text message to (BB).

Mc- Hey come to Ramshackle I want to tell you something

Why play a part?

Why follow the herd?

Why not trust in my words?

Don’t wanna go with the grain!

Why try to make myself plain?

I’m on the brink of rediscovery, I think

(BB): Sure, I’ll come to Ramshackle. What is the reason?

Mc- Doesn’t matter just come!

(BB): Ok, on my way.

A smile appeared on the perfects face as they raced to the bathroom to wash their tear stained face. As they shook practiced what they were going to say in their head a knock could be heard through out the ran down dorm. The human seemed to jump and run through air until their feet hit the ground, but that was only until they got to the stairs. Taking a deep breath they started down the stairs o the door.

So what if I’m dreaming?

I like the scene that I’m in!

And this boy is apart of this world

The thought of being normal is far more scary

Opening the door (BB) stood their look worried. “Is everything ok?” He asked in a worried tone.

“Yes everything is fine.”

“Then way were you avoiding me all day today?”

“I just thought if I ignore the feeling it would go away.”

“Ignore what feeling? That doesn’t really answer my question.”

“I’m going to leave soon... so I just wanted you to get use to me not being here.”

“Leave? Your not going anywhere, are you Mc?”

“I don’t belong here.. but I just can’t go without you knowing how I truly feeling.”

The magicless perfect tool a deep breath in and looked at (BB) dead in the eyes.

I’ll be brave and I’ll be kind

I’ll make a choice and change my mind

I will mess up all the time

They’ll say I’m weird but I’ll be fine

I’ll be anything but ordinary!

“All I want to say is that I love you.”
