I'm changing my answer to "BB was on Moosehead Lake", try and stop me poll-lady
I didn't initially want to do this, since other people have done perfectly adequate and highly popular "where is brockton bay" polls before, but I decided i simply had to have it on my blog:
look, i try really hard not to, you know, like, put my finger on the scales, or whatever, but why would you pick Vermont? It's landlocked.
Make sure to tell me what you think and why you think it!

Note that New York is not technically a part of New England, despite having a similar climate!
Denial and Decay are not options. you know full well that in this case "state" refers only to the constituent political entity and element of the organizational structure of the united states of america, buster. You better quit it or i'm gonna get mad.
It's such a fantastic feeling to have your creative work and effort recognized by someone you respect and admire. Nothing else like it, honestly.
So I got my father to watch Frieren, which is cool, it's neat he will watch anime on Netflix at 50+ years old.
But like, he came to talk to me and he was like "so I watching that frieren show, and it's like, about all this emotion and bonds and friendships that mean something and learning how to value your relationships in the moment, isn't that something you want for yourself? To find people to spend your life with?"
And I said "nah not really" and he was incredulous
I am not even old but I still default to typing "email" as "e-mail".
I don't know why, but that's just how my brain is wired. Strange...
And *that* is why I can't read the story again past the start of the Moon Gems arc. It's too tragic for me. The ending is so bittersweet and unsatisfying; I'm glad that it's the way it is, but I still can't ever read it again.
sometimes i think about when phos was torn to shreds by her own family, being manipulated by the lunarians, and buried in a hundred different holes for hundreds of years
and like
everyone just moved on. no one cared. not the lunarians she was trying to help, not the family she loved. just left with her own hatred to soak in.
there really isn't that much i find relatable about phos. i'm very solitary. but that stuck with me.
never put any stake, positive or negative, in others. it will inevitably fester and leave you worse.
I love the Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack. It has no misses, every track is good.
My favorite is the Sunleth Waterscape, its so fucking gorgeous oh my gosh, mwa <3
i know i’m not adding anything new to the convo but god brother nier is such a good character you really don’t often see in media. he’s patient but he’s so quick tempered. he’s caring but violent. there’s so much hate in a character whose whole drive is love. he’s so scary but he’s so safe at the same time??? i don’t??? yoko taro the writer that you are
People kept mentioning it on reddit on r/curatedtumblr and it popped up frequently as a crossover in some fandoms I used to read on ffnet so I bit the bullet in September 2024 and started reading. Most of the later twists and turns were spoiled for me because I kept looking up new characters on the wiki to see what happens to them and whether or not I should get attached.
By the end of October I was in literally the middle of arc 24, the chapter right after Cody's interlude, when I decided "this is getting pretty heavy, good stopping point for now" and did nothing but read wormfic until mid-January when I decided that I needed to fully finish Worm to start writing fic about it. So now I write worm fanfiction, that's fun. Hopefully I can finish my current fic by like, May? so then I can start on the *next* wormfic.
its nearly a year since i got into Worm myself so Im feeling nostalgic and curious, how was your first Worm read like? did you stumble across it on your own or did someone else recommend it to you? did you guess any big spoiler correctly, or had some wild theory looking back that you would like to share? personally, i got into it after a friend on twitter shared screenshots on how large the ratio of wlw vs other kinds of ships are in the parahumans fandom fic scene, and she decided to start reading it w me following shortly afterwards out of curiousity and finished reading in around may 2024.
i would look so hot half dead on a floor
