Spicy was a Smtown song. You didn’t have the rights to play that song. Smtown is suing you for copyright infringement. After a lengthy trial process, Smtown successfully sued you for $10,000. They ban you from ever airing on tv and blacklist you from the music scene. They do agree to drop the lawsuit if you give up on your love pursuit with Chaewon. It was a weird compromise, but you agreed.

And thus ended your journey toward Chaewon’s heart.

After Yujin blurted out your crush, all you could is run. You packed up your stuff, and ran.

That was all Yujin could manage to say. She didn’t try to call out your name again or chase you down to talk. Yujin wanted nothing more than to go after you, hug you, and apologize, but she couldn’t.

Yujin’s P.O.V

“O.M.G Did you see the look on her face when Yujin mentioned Jimin?” Haewon laughed, while a high-pitched cackle came from “Queen B” herself, Ningning.

“She literally looked like she was going to shit herself, so pathetic.”

Everyone in the room was laughing, laughing at your best friend. You couldn’t help but feel nauseous at the scene in front of you.

Wonyoung seemed to take notice of this and squeezed your hand tight.

“Don’t look so worried; she’ll be fine, babe.”

“We embarrassed her in front of everyone, and for what? Some stupid petty revenge?” You felt anger; who are they to play with Y/N’s feelings like this? What had they done to deserve this?

“Don’t tell me you’re feeling cold feet now, Yujin. You know the deal. Help us with Aeri, and you get to keep your friends.” Ningning’s voice felt like poison when she spoke, her words striking with venom.

You knew to take this threat seriously. You couldn’t let anyone find out what you did that day. 

Especially not y/n.

3 Years Prior, Spring Hill High School

Yujin P.O.V

You stared down at the note handed to you.

‘Meet me in the library at 3 p.m.; don’t tell anyone.'

Y/N was never the type to be secretive, so this confused you. What could she possibly have to talk to you about? Still, you didn’t waste time and headed straight there, only to find a stressed-out Y/N.

“Holy shit, you look like you haven’t slept in days? What’s going on?” You exclaimed, It was true, y/n looked pretty worn down.

“Yujin, what am I going to do?” -

“What do you mean? What could you possibly be stressed about? We graduate in 4 days, dude!”

“I know, that’s what stinks.”

“I’m not following; we’re literally going to college together anyway.”

“That’s the PROBLEM. New college, new people, new possible connections.”

Oh. You knew where this was going.

“What if Jimin finds someone?” You could hear the choked-up tears coming from Y/N.

Ever since you could remember, your best friend has had a crush on Yoo Jimin. I mean, who wouldn’t? Jimin was everything you could ask for in a person: Top student, volleyball captain, and absolutely gorgeous. And, unfortunately, the third member in your trio.

You’ve all been really close since your freshman year—close friends, that is. That’s how you prefer it. You hated the idea of them being together. If they were to break up, then what would happen to your trio? Would you have to split up? This thought terrified you more than you could imagine. So, anytime you could, you tried pushing away Y/N from the idea of dating Jimin. Was it the right thing to do? No, but you just didn’t want to see your best friend get hurt. That’s all.

“No, I’m going to do it Yujin; I’m going to confess at the graduation after party.”

Shit.

Annddd there you were, celebrating away with your fellow classmates, but you couldn’t have any fun. You could only think about the potential shitshow that was going to happen later. I mean, Jimin really wouldn’t say yes, would she? But if she did...No, you didn’t want to think about it. You had to stop the confession from happening, and you knew just the person to ask.

“Wonyoung, hey!”

"Aw, cutie pie! I haven’t seen you since you flunked the English finale exam!” Ok, that stung a bit, but it’s to be expected with Wonyoung. You laughed a bit and tried gliding past her comment toward you.

“Could I ask a favor from you?”

Those were the only seven words needed to get the ball rolling. In a matter of 5 minutes, y/n’s heart had been shattered. You’re not quite sure what happened, and you’d rather never find out.

All you could remember was Y/N’s teary face, as she spit out the words.

Babe? But they broke up, didn’t they?

Yujin immediately locked eyes with you, almost as if she could read your mind, but all she could offer you was a simple shrug.

“You know I can never say no to you, gorgeous.”

The loud sequels that erupted in the room were enough to break you out of your shock. All you could manage to do was awkwardly clear your throat, and weirdly enough, it was enough to invoke silence in the whole room. It was an eerie silence, almost like they had waited for you to give some sort of signal that you were there.

“And you must be this lovely lady's guardian angel." It’s not every day that the university’s boy toy talks to you—not that you wanted him to, of course; he carried nothing but trouble with his name.

 “Y/n.” That was all you could manage to spurt out.  

“Well, y/n, I thought since you saved my lady I could return the favor. Name your price.”

So that’s what this is all about. They just don’t want me to go around drawing more attention to the stupid Aeri thing.

“It was nothing; don’t worry about it! I honestly already forgot the whole thing!”

Not that I fully remembered to begin with.

“Come on, it’s not too much trouble! I could repay you in any way, y/n.” Ningning’s words felt heavy, almost as if you didn’t have much of a choice in the matter.

“Anyone catching your eye lately? We could make sparks fly!” Haewon’s always been the type to dig up any juicy gossip, so it’s not a surprise that a potential matchmaking service was what she had in mind.

“No, no one at the moment.” The nervousness in your voice was obvious; you wanted nothing to do with this. All you wanted to do was work on your midterm; why is the world so against that?

“Y/N’s way too anti-social for a relationship! The one time she tried getting someone’s number, it turned out to be a professor.”
