âYujin, what the fuck?"
Yujin stared down at her feet in embarrassment and fear. She tensed up in preparation for the cruel words that were bound to be spewed at her.
Jimin looked fuming. Her face was bright pink, and she looked as if she were about to explode. Whether it be from anger or tears, no one could really tell. She opened her mouth and let out a chocked-up
âHow could you? Whatâs wrong with-â
But before Jimin could finish her sentence, Y/N cut her off.
âYou came up with this elaborate plan because you thought we would just abandon you?" You had tried your hardest to hold back tears, but couldnât stop them from flowing. It was hard to wrap your head around. How could you ever possibly abandon your best friend? Just for some girl? Granted, that âgirlâ was the beautiful, talented, and kind Yoo Jimin. Still, throwing away years of friendship seemed out of the question for you.
Yujinâs eyes shifted around. She was nervous. The three of you never sat down and had a serious conversation. It always felt like the wrong time to bring up something so serious, like it would kill the fun mood.
âI guess, yeah? You seriously donât think you wouldâve still needed me, would you? From the moment you locked eyes with Jimin, you never stopped talking about her. It was all you talked about.â Yujin let out a sigh, cringing at those past memories.
âThatâs not true. What about the amusement park we went to in 10th grade? Jimin caught a fever and couldnât go, so we went together."
âYeah, we did. Except we couldnât go on any rides because you were so focused on winning Jimin a giant panda plushie that by the time you won it, the park closed. You took three hours.â
âOh⌠Well, what about when we volunteered to paint the school mural in 9th grade? We had fun drawing dicks on it in secret!â
âI drew them. While you gawked at Jimin playing volleyball next door, If I remember correctly, you only volunteered so that your mom wouldnât freak out about you staying after school. And 'Watching Jimin practice' wasnât a good enough excuse, so you dragged me into volunteering.â
âOf course, I needed an excuse to stay late; we couldnât let Jimin walk home alone after practice."
Jimin turned to you and cocked her head to the side.
âY/n, my dad always picked me up from school? Until I get my license?â
You paused for a second and felt your face getting hot. This whole time, you convinced yourself that you stayed late for Jimin. In reality, were you just staying late because of Jimin?
"Just face it, Y/N, our whole friendship was the Jimin show.â Yujinâs words sounded tired. It was as if she had relayed this message to herself constantly. She always knew this in her heart, and it always hurt her. Jiminâs previous anger had subsided. It was replaced with confusion. Confusion about her feelings toward Jimin. And the situation at hand.
The room was silent.
Until you began to break down. You sobbed, sitting on your dorm room sofa. Sitting around with the two people you thought meant the world to you They were your everything, and yet you had hurt them. All three of you were hurting.
Is high school supposed to be fun? The best years of your life. Yet, all three of you felt nothing but fear, pain, and anxiety. And they never felt comfortable enough to express it to each other. Is this really friendship?
You felt Jimin scoot closer to you on your right side, while Yujin got up and sat next to you on your left. They hugged you as you let out your emotions. Each one of you did.
"I got into Yale.â Both you and Yujin whipped your heads to look at Jimin.
Jimin was always a hard worker in high school, so it came to everyoneâs shock when she decided to go to an in-state university. Jimin always seemed to have a bright future ahead of her. Like she could accomplish the biggest things. Everyone always expected her to go off to a big, expensive school and do something amazing with her life.
âSenior year, I got in. It was even a full ride. But I turned it down. I couldnât think about leaving the two of you. I know everyone wanted me to do something special in life, but I couldnât imagine doing it without the two of you. I always feel pressured, all around me. Everyone expects me to be perfect. But when Iâm with the two of you, I can take a break. I can be a teenager. I can be me.â
âWe wouldâve moved with you!â You exclaimed, while Yujin nodded her head.
âMost definitely.â
âWe couldâve gone to school in Connecticut.â
âDef not Yale, but something close.â
âProbably wouldâve preferred it than you locking lips with Ning.â Yujin added. Jimin chuckled slightly and looked off to the side. Feeling embarrassed by how her one act of 'rebellion' led to disaster.
âBut, Jimin, no matter what you do, weâll always support you.â You went to her other side and gave her a tight squeeze, while Yujin stayed on the right and embraced her as well.
It seemed like everyone was venting tonight. pent-up emotions the three of you have faced for years.
âNow wouldâve been a perfect time to confess my love for you, huh?â You laughed, looking at your lifelong crush.
âNah, the rejection wouldâve killed the mood.â Jimin pushed you slightly and chuckled. It felt good to joke and tease about these things.
Yujin laughed along with you two but abruptly stopped. She hung her head low again.
âMan, I really screwed things up with us, huh?"
You exchanged a glance with Jimin, both of you having a similar thought. You turned to Yujin and held her hand.
"Yeah, you did.â
âIncredibly so.â Added in Jimin.
"But itâs okay. Apparently, so did all of us. So it cancels out, right?â
Yujin perked her head up and let out a small smile.
âYeah, thatâs how math works! I learned it in geometry!â
âYou slept every class?â
âBlah blah, numbers, shapes!â Yujin rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. All of you could do it and laugh. Just like old times. Just like your trio always did.
âSo⌠Can I move back in?â Yujin asked.
âNo.â Jimin turned to you, confused. It seemed like everything was working out. Why the sudden decision on your end?
âHow else are we getting insider information on the bitch Wonyoung?â It was clear who common enemy number 1 was. And it was time to take her down.
âYouâve got a plan, Y/N?â
âYou know it!â
âHa, yeah! Operation Take Down Bitchyoung is a go!â Yujin got up and cheered.
âYou still messed up, Yujin, so we expect a lot of help on your end.â
Her cheers became slightly softer, but Yujin was still glad to be part of your life again.
Before you could grab your phone and let everyone know you finished the conversation, Jimin tackled you all onto the sofa and embraced you both.
âI love you guys.â
No matter what happened, You always had each other. It was obvious now. Itâll take some time before everything returns to its old ways. Or maybe it never will. All that matters is that you know you can count on each other, no matter what.

SoâŚ. I am kinda confused about something. Is wony and yujin actually dating or just pretend? bc they both have things to use against each other and idk.
Itâs definitely pretend. Sure, Yujin has something against Wonyoyng, but in reality, Ning would never actually believe Yujin. Yujin had no proof about the Yeonjun-Wony kiss, and Wonyâs words matter way more to Ning since theyâre best friends!
On the other hand, Wonyoung has multiple witnesses to prove what happened (or what was perceived to have happened) during the party. (Ningning, the whole party watching the kiss happen, etc.) So Wonyoungâs threat over Yujin carries much more weight.
So pretend dating is the perfect way for Wonyoung to watch over Yujin and keep her as a pawn in her little game. She can watch her every move and make sure to keep her in line, or else.
I hope this isn't confusing and helps!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope youâre all warm and bundled up rn đđźđđź Super grateful for everyone who enjoys WWC and Ghostbusters & canât wait to update the story more in the future!! Also grateful for all my friends on here bc ur all awesome đŞđť Love you guys!! :)

A 14K diamond necklace around her neck and a 24K pleated gold brooch on her uniform blazer. Silky brown hair all the way to her lower back always straightened, never a hair out of place. All eyes stared at her as she walked down the schoolâs corridor. She had a small, polite smile and sat near the front of the auditorium. Whispers could be heard all around her.
âIs that Ning Yi Zhuo? Isnât her family, like, super rich?â
âYeah! I heard her family signal-handily fund and build half of the schoolâ
âNo wonder sheâs so pretty; she can afford itâ
Ningning was a known name around town; she was popular everywhere she went. She was popular, but not liked.
Ningning learned the hard way that to keep her life happy, she needed to keep a small circle. At the moment, this circle had a total of 0 members. That was pretty small!
Itâs not that she didnât enjoy the companyâquite the contraryâbut it was hard to see who wanted her for her friendship and who wanted her for money.
To keep things at bay, sheâd wave and have small talk with anyone who asked, but when it came to hanging out outside of school, sheâd always refused. Going to the mall or to dinner always brought up the subject of money. Since Ningning had an abundance of money, her friends always felt entitled to it just because they were friends with her. It would start arguments when she refused to pay for everything, thus ending her friendships. Friendships that were her everything fell apart so easily. Had anyone actually wanted to be friends with her? Or did they just want her money? It was a story that repeated itself over and over, but that was going to stop in high school; sheâd keep her distance from everyone. It was her goal.
That is until a certain raven-haired boy came creeping into her life.
"Yeonjun, Park Yeonjun. And who do I have the honor of speaking too?"
Unlucky for Ningning, she had become chemistry lab partners with the most social boy in all of Spring Hill High.
"Iâm surprised you donât know. Itâs Ning Yi Zhuo, but just call me Ningning."
"Ning Yi Zhuo, huh? It does sound familiar. Well, what does it matter? Youâre stuck with me all year, Ningning; get used to seeing this pretty face all day." Ningning rolled her eyes and gave him a small smile.
"Aw, come on, princess, I can spot a fake smile from miles away. You donât have to pretend to like me. Itâs fine if you donât; Iâll convince you otherwise eventually." Ningningâs smile didnât drop, but she did feel herself giggle. It had been a while since she had genuinely laughed at someoneâs joke. She had to stop herself, though. Ningning couldnât get close to someone else. But itâs just one class a day with him. There was no way sheâd become friends with Yeonjun.
And Ningning was right. She didnât become friends with Yeonjun. They became so much more than that.
__________________________
Meeting Yeonjun brought Ningning into a whole new world. One filled with adventure and curiosity. One where she didnât have to force herself to be introverted for the sake of her happiness, she could be extroverted and happy without fear.
Day after day, he would come into class and tell her wild stories, half of which Ningning had been certain were fake, but that he only told her so he could see her smile. And laugh. Yeonjun always made her laugh.
One day, while walking out of the cafeteria on her way to eat her lunch outside, Ningning was stopped by two girls. One had long, flowing brown hair with a mole under her eye.
"Heard youâre getting chummy with our Yeonjun?" Both girls stared at Ningning, waiting for a response. She awkwardly shifted her eyes in confusion, but before she got the chance to explain herself, the other girl next to her with bangs began to laugh.
"Wonyoung, come on! Youâre scaring her! Listen, sheâs kidding. We donât care whatâs going on with you and Yeonjun; just know he wonât shut up about you."
"Ugh, itâs so annoying; youâre all he talks about, Ning. Just go out with him so we can have lunch in peace! Right, Aeri?" The girl with bangs, Aeri, nodded her head and giggled.
Ningning blushed at the thought.
"Aw, are you shy? Tell you this: Letâs go out together as a group. You could get a feel for him and see if you like him before making a move. Iâm sure youâll have fun!" Ningning didnât want to go out with these strangers, but she did want to go out with Yeonjun. So she agreed, and it was the best decision she had ever made.
The group of four first went roller skating. It was Ningingâs first time ever rollerskating, and she learned the hard way that it wasnât easy to grasp on the first try. With each fall came further frustration from Ningning. All she could do was watch as her friends laughed and had fun. While she lay on the floor alone, After falling down for the fifth time, she saw a hand extended out to her.
"Here, grab on to me. Itâll be easier this way; if we both fall, we fall together! Totes less embarrassing." Ningning held onto Giselle tightly, and the two of them skated together. Aeri never left Ningingâs side the whole afternoon, and if she fell, then Aeri fell right with her. It was comforting. Is this what genuine friendship is like?
After hours of skating, everyone was beat and decided to have lunch. Banter and jokes flew around the table; Wonyoung even told some embarrassing stories about Yeonjun. It was a blast! Once the check finally came, Ningning felt shivers down her spine. This is when the argument always happened. Were these new-found friends going to dump the check on her? Were they going to use her like everyone else did?
"I got it covered; itâs on me, babes!" Aeri called out.
"Oh, I can pay for my..."
"Nah, donât worry about it; I have money for days." It was true that the Uchinaga family was rich.
"Just let the sugar mommy pay for our lunch; itâs the least she can do for forcing you here today!" Yeonjun shined a bright smile at Ningning and winked at Giselle.
"Aw, you think of me as a mother?"
Ningning laughed. Maybe this friendship wouldnât be so bad. Maybe sheâd finally found people who liked her, for her.

Spring Hill High, Junior Year
Ningning started her day like no other. She got dressed and ready for school. She had her personal chef make her breakfast, and she got in her personal driver's car. It was not a typical day for anyone else, but for Ningning, this was normal.
It wasnât until she heard frantic whispering all around the halls at school that she knew something had happened. Before she got the chance to look for her friends, she was dragged by her arm into the janitorâs closet. After adjusting to the dim lighting of the room, Ningning realized it was her friend Wonyoung who dragged her in.
"Listen, Iâm going to tell you something. You gotta promise me you wonât freak out."
"Wony, youâre scaring me; whatâs up?"
"Ok, um, so yesterday I was in student council helping plan for Spirit week, and someone needed to bring the printed setlist to the principal's office. I volunteered, of course, since I hate being on student council. The presidentâs always so creepy and so boring. You know he went on a 10-minute tangent about-"
"Wonyoung, focus."
"Right, sorry. I got everything together and made my way to the principal's office, but on my way there, I heard someone making out at the bottom of the fourth-floor staircase. Anytime I hear love in the air, I just have to investigate! So, I made my way up and hid to see if I could get a good look at the lovebirds, and...
"AndâŚ"
"Ningning, it was Giselle and Yeonjun."
Ningningâs world had fallen apart. Her eyes quickly welled up with tears, while her brain still hadnât fully comprehended the conversation. Her best friend and her boyfriend were fucking?
Her happiness, which she had tried so hard to keep, had been shattered. There are no good people in this world. At least not to Ningning. Not anymore.Â
_________________________________
"You fucked Giselle?" Ningningâs voice roared throughout the hallway. Her targets were right in sight.
"Ning, what are you talking about?"
"Oh, donât act all innocent. I thought we were friends. I trusted you. Am I just someone you can toy with until you donât want me anymore? Or were you just using me to get close to Yeonjun? Be honest."
âNingning, I donât know-â
"Wonyoungâs telling the truth, Babe. Iâm so sorry. Just give it up, Giselle; itâs true. We messed around behind Ningâs back." Yeonjun looked sorrowful as he admitted to his "infidelity".
Giselleâs face had been twisted and turned in confusion. But Ningning didnât give her the chance to speak. Why had Yeonjun confessed to something that didnât take place? Why wasnât Ningning listening to her?
"Weâre so done. Iâll make sure you pay for this. Youâll regret ever crossing Ning Yi Zhuo."

You're thinking cap is definitely on, she did have a strong reaction to them just hanging out!! Y/n's the only person who stood up for her, even if she was plastered drunk, so Ningning doesn't have an actual reason to hate her, she just acts tough and reacts erratically when something doesn't go her way. since y/n is the only person to defend her and see Ning in a positive way, maybe it'll hurt her to see y/n suddenly slip away đ¤
and if Ningâs choice wins Iâll maybe do an epilogue!
charity why are you making us choose đ
perhaps just MAYBE once the series ends I might do an alternate ending with whichever choice wins đŤ˘

ăťâĽăťConfess
You decided that now was a better time than ever to confess. I mean, you really did like Wonyoung, and what did you have to lose?
You explained that you lied to Yujin because you wanted Wonyoung to notice you.
Wonyoung could only manage to stare at you, then start to laugh.
Ouch, that really hurt your ego, but at least you got your answer.
Or did you? Wonyoung pulled you into a hug, still slightly giggling.
âYou went through all that trouble for little old me? Y/N, thatâs adorable. If weâre being honest, you kind of caught my eye too when you walked in. If weâre being even more honest, I mightâve tried bribing Gaeul to switch cabins with me too. Lucky for me, though, she said no!â
You stared at her, bewitched. Did Jang Wonyoung have a thing for you? The same Jang Wonyoung you spent all summer trying to make yours, liked you all along?
âHow about we go back to the others and explain?â You nodded, smiling from ear to ear. You two held hands as you walked back to the camp site, ready to tell the others your true love story.
The summer had come and gone, and suddenly camp was all over. You bid your farewells to all your campers; you were even going to miss them.
All of the counselors started exchanging contact information, as you all wanted to stay in touch! After you decided to be honest with everyone, it brought you a lot closer!
Especially you and Wonyoung.
The two of you made up your minds to try long distance while you were away at university, and it was time for you two to go your separate ways. You went in for a hug, but Wonyoung gave you a nice kiss on the cheek! All your newfound friends cheered, and it led you to blush.
You all said your final goodbyes; it was a memorable summer! â¤
