After Adrien’s hundredth ‘lets not stand up for Marinette’, ‘be nice to your bully’, and/or ‘Chloe won’t change’ moment, Marinette starts making all her designs include feathers. Just some petty revenge

He just takes the feathers off refusing to sink that low

Gabriel gives Adrien a bird as a pet as he ruined Marinette’s design.

Adrien cooks quail for dinner. Gabriel is completely horrified until he realises it wasn’t the bird he gifted

Marinette points out if Gabriel had spent more time raising his kid then perhaps Adrien wouldn’t pull such dark pranks. She then criticises the quail for being over salted

Adrien: I just wish she would like me back

Marinette: Oh, talking about that absolutely amazing ice queen again?

Adrien: No. The girl I actually like. She’s incredible in every way. Passionate, graceful, brave, kind, doesn’t have my schedule on a chart

Marinette: That must….Was that a dig at me when I am trying to be nice? What happened to the high road?

Adrien: So, where’s that amazing dessert buffet you were preparing for heroes day?

Marinette: ….Let’s just get back to your love trouble, that way you can only hurt me once

Marinette: I was thinking of throwing a party for Adrien’s birthday

Adrien: That’s really kind of you.

Nathalie: Let me take care of catering so nothing is overly salty

Gabriel: I’ll take care of decorations so they are in style

Marinette: Haha guys, but seriously that’s all done. I was just wondering if I should invite Chloe

Adrien: Why wouldn’t you?

Marinette: Really? Well, putting my own issues aside I couldn’t remember if this was the week you were friends or the week you forgot she existed

Adrien: I never-

Marinette: When was the last time you had a conversation with her?

Adrien: I think…How many words count as a conversation?

Marinette: If it’s with Gabriel, lucky if more than 5 words

Nathalie: Anyone else should be more than 30 seconds

Adrien: After Despair Bear attacked? Maybe?

Marinette: That’s actually worse than I thought and kind of sad

Gabriel: Add her to the list

Nathalie: It maybe nice to have a real superhero here rather than just a civilian ladybug

Marinette: Seriously, Adrien, I know I get petty about how you treat me but if Chloe really is your friend you need to talk to her more. Especially of the way her mum treats her

Adrien: So you are going to be nice?

Marinette: No. I already have a name tag for her with the name Claudette

Adrien: Really?

Marinette: I never claimed to be her friend.

Gabriel: What would happen if I accused Chloe of stealing as she did you or hired actors for a fake Queen Bee interview

Marinette: Don’t, that may border on mean. Anyway it’s Adrien’s day if he wants her there we should respect that as it may be nice for her to see parents worse than her own

Gabriel: Really? Adrien’s mother is dead

Marinette: Better father then? Andre spoils her and buys anything she wants, Adrien’s he only sees when scheduled. Hers gives her a hotel, his locks him in his room. Hers encourages friendship, his homeschools him. Hers-

Gabriel: Marinette. Stop.

Marinette: Sorry Mr Agreste.

Gabriel: You’re forgiven baker girl.

Marinette: Hey Gabriel, just letting you know I won’t be around here as much

Gabriel: Grounded again for missing classes? Adrien get a restraining order on you for the stalking? Always being late?

Marinette: No, there’s this really nice guy called Luka who asked me out and I want to give him a shot. I may have the start of feelings. I want to explore it.

Gabriel: But…but you love Adrien

Marinette: Well, he never noticed and never really stood up for me much, plus put bullies’ feelings ahead of mine. Luka just seems to understand. He’s patient, gentle, and all around a genuine nice guy. He’s the one who went ice skating with Adrien, Kagami, and I. Whenever I fell he was there.

Gabriel: I forbid it

Marinette: You aren’t my father though?

Gabriel: Nathalie get in here. Tell Marinette she’s not allowed to date Luka

Nathalie: I’ve organised your schedule and oops sorry, Luka’s not on it.

Marinette: I don’t think you have that power. Luka-

Nathalie: That name is banned in our house

Marinette: I’m still going to a Jagged Stone concert with him

Nathalie: No. I just bought all the tickets. None left

Marinette: I already purchased them

Gabriel: I will fly you to New York for a fashion show if you don’t go to that concert

Marinette: Counter proposal, I go and rather than get upset at me you get upset at your son for ruining your plans that he never even agreed to or knew of

Gabriel and Nathalie then spend the rest of the day trying to figure out ways to stop the date.

Gabriel: Nathalie…I think we’ve made an error in our plan. How do we fix this?

Nathalie: What if we akumatise Luka?

Gabriel: Tried that. He’s too mellow and understanding. Wouldn’t even hurt a fly.

Nathalie: Akumatise Marinette?

Gabriel: Never happening

Nathalie: Chat calls her princess right? Akumatise the cat.

Gabriel: You really think that would work?

Nathalie: I’ll make it.

Not only am I salty, I love drama. Just a WIP while I complete things. I did say there was more Luka in the future. PS: If you repost, I report. Thought I’d let you know <3

Luka’s anger came not only from the fact that his band’s work had been stolen, but mostly because Bob was threatening Marinette!!! He only had strong enough negative emotions once her career and future were in danger. He wasn’t thinking about his! He kept thinking about her at all moments! This shows just how deep and pure his feelings for her are. He doesn’t have a mere crush. He loves her.

Just like in Chameleon, when he was talking about Marinette’s righteous anger, Hawk Moth nailed his description: “The rage of a creator whose work has been stolen by someone a little bit fussy and who can’t stand them making the one he’s in love with suffer. Go little akuma, and evilise his pure heart.”

Luka:(Rolls his eyes, thinking it’s a bluff) Okay sure, so if I want to kiss Marinette, I’m gonna have to kiss you first?

Adrien: (Looks at him) Pucker up pal.

Marinette: I just saw Adrien kissing Luka, what even is my life!?

Am I the only one who gets overwhelmed by movies or tv shows with animated characters? It’s as if I take a part of them with me wherever I go. I feel every ounce of feelings they have and cry when one of them dies. The only thing I’ve every wished for more than anything is to be able to meet the characters I’ve fallen in love with. I want to hug them and thank them.

Ok. So this is just something I noticed in the ep. Earlier, we get this adorable scene where Luka and Marinette just click and seem to get the same idea with no other communication whatsoever. Like, they already know what each other is thinking and they know the other knows too. Initially, I thought was a Ladynoir parallel because they usually do the same thing during their own trysts.

But then, later on in the episode, Chat Noir and Ladybug look like they’re at a total dissonance. Maybe it’s a post-Oblivio effect or Chat’s more dense than usual, but the point is Ladynoir somehow doesn’t have that same level of communication as before. Like Ladybug gives up pretty quickly and just ends up texting him everything…and even then, Chat Noir kinda takes a while to get it, and makes a lot of jokes along the way. (Like why was he so happy about the fact that Ladybug might be her superhero persona permanently? Like, he even joked about it being a good thing? Weird flex, but ok)

Like, no salt…but that’s weird, right? Like why are these two situations being presented to us in the audience, when clearly, in previous episodes Ladynoir have no trouble communicating their plans without words and even get back to that rhythm later on?

Like, is it to show us that, hopefully, maybe, finally, there’ll be some change in the dynamics? Because season 1 Mari would have never been so taken with another dude (e.g. Nino, Nath, Chat Noir), but now Adrien doesn’t even cross her mind. Like, color me impressed, that’s development I didn’t expect. (And I’m kinda hoping it sticks).

Like, these are only my unorganized thoughts, feel free to disagree with me. But did anyone else notice the difference in atmosphere with the Ladynoir confession scenes and the Lukanette confession scenes we’ve had so far?

Anyways, I still ship Love Square but I also ship Lukanette and rn, I think deviance from the love square would be good for them, because Oblivio showed that without all the complicated factors of the love square with idealization and stuff, Adrienette is adorable. Meanwhile, Lukanette is a mutually supportive relationship where Marinette and Luka can both benefit from, and even if it doesn’t work out in the long run, they look like they’d be pretty happy together for the short time they would have.

(P.S. Rose looking confused is a MOOD)

Edit: So, I re-watched the ep, and apparently the whole Chat Noir thing being too nonchalant about Ladybug’s situation was an oversight on my part. Sorry about that. He looks pretty distressed before making a joke about it. Unfortunately Ladybug doesn’t take it too well. But even with that thought, Chat was pretty wholesome this ep so I didn’t mind tbh.

Also, this ep is apparently before Oblivio? Thanks to @karokitten-chan for pointing that out. Now, I’m curious about the in-between episodes but that’s another post.
