is he racist? No not in the traditional sense but he has had an idealized fetish for black aesthetic culture since a young age. But other peoples perception of what he does should not concern you. If people from black society interpret what he did as racist that is their right. Its a complex topic to be handled with care not a sassy response of oh sm made him do it. I will not just accept that foolish behavior. Let his behavior be interpreted by whoever is interpreting it. The tacky lawyer defense just makes black people feel more offended and angry. I just wish everyone would allow people to have their own opinion about art without getting over emotional. Especially if no one is being direspectful. Everyone has the right to their own opinion. Telling others to just leave and shut up is not a mature response.

Behind SM's trainee Life.

I recently read a popular post on Nate Pann, about a post-SM trainee, and she explains to us the things behind the doors of SM. And it was really interesting and some what scary, so I’ve decided to translate a few of the main things.

“Hi, I was a SM trainee until last week, and was in the pre-debut class. In the pre-debut teams, I was put in the 6 member-ed one. Amongst us was a pretty girl, who lacked talent but seemed to have past auditions through her physical appearances. One day, we were training, until late at night, when we were asked to go to the SM rumor management office (there’s a separate office in SM that deals with rumors that are viral on webs), and we heard that a visit there are extremely harsh, thus we were all very scared. When we got there, one of the office lady just slapped the pretty/youngest member across the face. She was holding a piece of paper, and asked the pretty girl if these rumors were true. The girl admitted to the rumors and she was hit again. She was then told to not return to SM again……apparently the rumors were about her previous reckless acts that were posted online.

It goes the same for EXO baekhyun, there were previous posts that were going viral in south Korea because he had filmed a footage in his early days and involving a packet of smoke. He was hit a lot, and all he did was just apologize, and they couldn’t kick him out because he had already debuted. Then there’s one about sehun and wa$$up, he was told off not to share any sign of interest to other girl group idols. Lastly, chanyeol was in trouble for this scandal with f(x) member Sulli, it’s widely known that SM workers don’t often tell Sulli off, cause she has an extreme temper.

Anyways, my point is, what you put up online can greatly impact these trainees/idols. Thus if you aren’t sure of anything, please don’t post them. They’ll just create rumors and there are people who get it a lot of trouble for that.”

are some of the most caring empathetic beings on the planet huge hearts, the older I get seeing how bw are demonized and objectified in the media is sickening behind every video vixen is generational trauma, abuse, trying to breal generational poverty its so sad this heirarchy of black women where its our own sisters in the comment section demeaning these women right along side predatory men and other races of women. Idc how problematic black women are you just don't do that. Black republicans ignore history and colonization and the fact thay the slave trade both western african and eastern sold and abused black women on a very high level. Epigenetic trauma is real, all the focus should be on black women supporting each other and helping each other heal. Siding with white conservative media or even the current social media view of black women is not helpful. We don't need hate we need biology, psychology, amd history classes in school centered around black women. Educating and treating young people class and social standing aside there really needs to be black female private schools, therapy centers health food stores gyms. Like this should be the focus reading so many books centered om a completely eurocentric standard, seeing how other countries around the world have their own medical schools and everything. Like that should be the focus. African americans have such a stronghold on pop culture but nothing to show for it, I desperately want better for us.

I need to have a whole essay, book lecture on the jedi mind manipulation that the asian media has gone through hell and high water to push on unsuspecting people who really don't even know the evils that they unknowingly be supporting. Mind you understandably exo was promoting a skin whitening company before kji went to the military, free will is a thing that's fine, and understably they have an image to promote. But I've never seen the other members this skin whitened while in the military, they all tanned and had unedited photos posted of at least light tans. Almost all the members who posted army photos before or after training had tans, I'm genuinely trying to understand them having the naturally darkest member edited to where his skin looks lighter then theirs did. I truly don't understand that, it seems comical yet also very strange. There were times even while injured, barely going outside that his skin is darker. Almost every public sighting he's had he appears to have like no melanin in his skin. I always think before I speak it's typical for me to hold in my words for months until I'm very sure of what talking about. To me s.m would know better than anyone else jongin's natural skin tone. Early in his career he never hid it and talked about it quite often, then somewhere along the way unless he was in america or europe his skin was ghostly pale a majority of the time. Logically speaking one would think that he tends to do what is required of him when asked by his employer. Understand that as well. Then there's the multiple layering that s.m I assume started placing over his photos so that it would be impossible to "darkwash" a laughable term coined by people upset at the attempt of fans to figure out the true skin color of kpop people. Now it is considered even more villainous to "darkwash" than to whitewash. Mind you this child was underage most likely skin whitening, putting poisonous chemicals on his face to appear lighter and caking makeup on all to fit into the s.m standards. But this is seen as normal and okay for both boys and girls. None of this is natural and can cause severe damage to the skin. Since it's 2024 and the average fan or even passerbyer will know little to none of this information, nor any cultural social background of what's going on in the kpop industry and why it is in fact not okay. But normalization and jokes make everything seem okay. The amount of fans I know of that genuinely, truly believe jongin is light bright tan and that's the darkest he can get and anything else is just bad lighting is sad. I know deep down they feel and say this because this is what they want to be true. The effort they put into the facade for him to me is too much to just be a coincidence, usually in the army kdolls are on their own but s.m hasn't stopped controlling his image, whether it's "random sightings", "public events" or things he posts himself they are intent on heavily lightening and editing his photos in a way I've never seen done before for someone on a break. They still have his collar on pretty tight.

Emergency: Irish farmed animal sanctuary urgently has to relocate

Heartstone needs to urgently relocate, which requires the acquisition of a residential 'cattle' farm in the East of the country. The situation at the current farm here in Sligo has disastrously deteriorated due to torrential rainfall caused by the unfolding climate catastrophe, causing the farm to sink and the buildings to collapse. You can find more details about the situation and some photos in my social media posts, especially on Instagram (links at the bottom of this page). On top of the need to relocate, the property we were originally fundraising for has long found another owner, and so has the second, third, fourth one... with property prices continuously skyrocketing due to Covid, Brexit and reasons unknown to me, and property being snapped up by what must be investors in a matter of days. However, there is again one (and only one!) property in all of Ireland for sale that would suit the requirements of the current and future Heartstone gang (including those in foster care), and it would thankfully still allow us to expand at least to a small extent into the other areas we want - and for environmental reasons desperately need - to branch into, most importantly vegan rewilding (or, more precise, v-wilding - see explanation below) and the practice of and education about truly sustainable veganic food growing. However, for the reasons mentioned, it is also a lot more expensive; much more so than the goal of this fundraiser suggests. Please support Heartstone and this fundraiser if you can; please share, and forward it to anyone who might be able to help; especially philanthropists, donor syndicates, or other groups or individuals who might appreciate the unique holistic and intergrated concept behind Heartstone - to my knowledge also the only vegan organic sanctuary in the world - and who might also be in the position to help out with a larger sum. vampire chronicles thoughts

Personally I don't like the racebending in the show and I feel like in an effort to be more diverse they just added in a multitude of more problematic things, like the underlying implications of two mulatto people in New orleans who would be 'free' but now are owned by a vampire master who likeable or not is still controlling them in some way and prohibiting them from true freedom.

Like if that was the intention to make it more thought provoking cool, but I wonder if they understand the audience mainly being full of people who are more excited to see hookups between the two main character than put forth much deeper thought to the dynamic between louis and lestat in a more analytical way. That is truly horror, and maybe that was the intention but in this day and time I think the fandom culture is quicker to be happy about poc's in such a popular show than think of all the problematic themes in the vampire chronicles.

I don't mean problematic in the way most people do, like they should apologize or cancel the show, no on the contrary, I am glad the show is unapologetic in a way, the burden falls more on the viewer to see the deeper message being put in the story.

I feel like personally I will just keep my own thought and character castings to myself because I'm a total perfectionist with that sort of thing. I love realms of atlantis which everybody hates, and I have a 2 billion dollar budget in my head for that book that I don't think will ever be matched by any studio. But yeah, I never even watched the show but I wanted to say this cause I do like a few of the vc's books. Lestat to me is the best character but it's like nobody can get him right, tom cruise did a good job but still not quite lestat is such a rare character that's been crafted so spectacularly I don't think a live action version in this era...could ever do him justice, it's either too masculine or too modern day pretty boy like I just can't figure out how he's supposed to look in a way that would be timeless.

Also with people confusion on why the vamps male at least regardless of all the tension never get together in that way..... I don't know I think it's artistic preference, after writing fiction myself I completely get it now. There are some stories certain things just don't happen. Like idk. I don't think it's that deep. It's' like how on some tv shows the parents never kiss but on others they do. Writers at times just write what comes to them.

Also it's very likely that anne saw lestat and louis as a different alternative version of herself and her husband, in a way, not completely, so maybe she didn't feel comfortable writing super passionate scenes like that with them.

I really don't know cause lestat did get with women...so like seriously I don't know.

That's very interesting. It's possible that she didn't want to say it or there wasn't terminology for this back then but maybe the character weren't actually into guys, weird with all the tension, but it's possible the male vamps had a more animal like dominant submissive thing going on which isn't necessarily as humans put it romantic.

(Which is another thing I think the network screwed up on but I get it seeing that they are concerned about viewership. Which is the entire reason they have a business in the first place.)

It's completely different. Which is a part of the reason why I liked the book it used predictable themes and taboo's but didn't go about it in the way you'd expect. It makes them more real to me. People are hardly ever predictable.
