I'm tired of this, a lil whitewashing is still too much hollywood is suddenly caring about talent and ability whenever it comes to accurately casting poc characters. They are allergic to casting fully ethic people. I hate it cause I love the show so much but how is this better than what m night did? I am older and have higher standards than i did as a kid until people stop feeding into pandering and giving in whenever there's a few characters appropriately casted they will keep poc's as the side characters villains and continue to cast lighter skinned people as the heros and darker more ethnic people as the villain. Like netflix always takes a huge L when it comes to that, they only cast correct when they cater to specific audiences and usually there is some objectification they are becoming the new disney for me. Urban on the weekends suburbs monday through through friday. Which is cool but why adapt something based on ancient asia if you don't want to cast as accurate as possible. It's not too hard they just have an agenda to push. I've given up on conglomerate companies ever doing the right thing it will always be a catch. Nothing I can do but I can just start ignoring it cause they aren't trying as hard as they say they are. Flashback to everyone bullying the girl who wanted to be katara, its colorism and its ugly and being that this is the second time this has happened I feel like maybe it was the intentiom all along to create a series built of asian mythology to have a cast full of lighter skinned characters play the heros and the most ethic people in the cast are the villains...like I'm greatful for the message of the show but I'm saddened there was never any intention to bring people who it belongs to into the fold. The intention should be for young children all around the world to look and see that darker skinned heros exist all over the world and don't exist only in one racial group. I'm glad they are confronting the gender imbalance present in the show and taking the focus off romance though. Netflix makes too much money for this though. Hollywood makes too much money for this. It's also about colonialsm but I'm guessing they will try and tone that message down because most of hollywood money is ran off of colonialism.

M night shamalan casting the fire nation colonist as indian when india was colonized by great britan makes it clear whoever is funding these movies don't want kids seeing citizens of countries that actually actively colonized various parts of the world as villains. But they will happily cast imperialist china and japan as the villain something they have always been happy to do to take the heat off of them. Which seems to be why the fire nation actors are clearly ethinically asian while the heros are ambigious looking.

Dune is another movie doing a very similar thing but thats so borijg I don't even care to talk about it.

What fans are dealing with is not a natural person, but rather the "personality" performed by these celebrities and the imagination added and completed by fans themselves. Therefore, although readers who like real people will pay attention to various news about celebrities, they do not necessarily care about what they are like in their daily life and how their relationships are. In the final analysis, the content of the work is not accurate and often does not attempt to be true.

The characters in the real people will have similarities with actual celebrities, and such similarities may be many, making people feel that they are almost real, or there may be only a few, or even only names and some physical characteristics. While many tend to favour the legitimacy of real person fiction, they believe such works do not constitute harassment of real people. But it is undeniable that some pieces with controversial content will cause unnecessary trouble and public opinion pressure from society. Although the protagonist has no such experience, people's speed and power of falsehood are likely to turn fictional into real in the Internet age.

There have been many years of debate about fandom practices' moral and legal issues. However, there are not many related academic discussions due to various moral constraints and ethical considerations. Generally speaking, the author's delineation of the moral boundaries in the works reflects the general impression of the idols or characters within the fan group rather than legal constraints. Real person fiction is also part of the cultural ecology of celebrities in modern society. To satisfy and maintain their fans, idols will also take the initiative to sacrifice part of their privacy, allowing fans to imagine and create accordingly. Throughout the ages, many fictional creations in the name of historical figures are essentially re-creations based on real-life image texts, such as Shakespeare's historical plays and so on.

So, if all fictional writing involving real people required the consent of real people, there would be a lot less good work and fun in literary history. We can't deny the value of its existence, but should there be a limit to its content and ideas when it is published on a public platform? Behind SM's trainee Life.

I recently read a popular post on Nate Pann, about a post-SM trainee, and she explains to us the things behind the doors of SM. And it was really interesting and some what scary, so I’ve decided to translate a few of the main things.

“Hi, I was a SM trainee until last week, and was in the pre-debut class. In the pre-debut teams, I was put in the 6 member-ed one. Amongst us was a pretty girl, who lacked talent but seemed to have past auditions through her physical appearances. One day, we were training, until late at night, when we were asked to go to the SM rumor management office (there’s a separate office in SM that deals with rumors that are viral on webs), and we heard that a visit there are extremely harsh, thus we were all very scared. When we got there, one of the office lady just slapped the pretty/youngest member across the face. She was holding a piece of paper, and asked the pretty girl if these rumors were true. The girl admitted to the rumors and she was hit again. She was then told to not return to SM again……apparently the rumors were about her previous reckless acts that were posted online.

It goes the same for EXO baekhyun, there were previous posts that were going viral in south Korea because he had filmed a footage in his early days and involving a packet of smoke. He was hit a lot, and all he did was just apologize, and they couldn’t kick him out because he had already debuted. Then there’s one about sehun and wa$$up, he was told off not to share any sign of interest to other girl group idols. Lastly, chanyeol was in trouble for this scandal with f(x) member Sulli, it’s widely known that SM workers don’t often tell Sulli off, cause she has an extreme temper.

Anyways, my point is, what you put up online can greatly impact these trainees/idols. Thus if you aren’t sure of anything, please don’t post them. They’ll just create rumors and there are people who get it a lot of trouble for that.”
